| Claim Jumper | Brea, CA | |
|
Yes, the wait may be long, and sitting within view of their mouth-watering
desserts can make the wait seem unbearable, but it is definetely
worth it. While the prices may seem a little above average, this
coincides with their food portions. A small side salad with the
meal is as complete as a chef's salad, and for a light eater,
that alone may be filling enough.
I can't express in words how amazing their desserts are!
Dessert prices alone run from $7-8. On occasion I'll eat
out at a lower-priced restaurant or fast-food chain, and then
come to Claim Jumpers for dessert. The manager at this restaurant
is very respectable and gave me a free dessert and apologized
when the dessert I had ordered wasn't available. Bottom
line, if you have a little extra spending money, this definetely
puts a lot of bang in your buck.

| Fridays | Orange, CA | |
|
I wouldn't neccessarily claim Fridays as an unbelievable
restaurant, but their food definetely isn't bad. Interestingly
enough though this particular Fridays is the place to be on weekends.
Located within the block shopping area, it's almost impossible
to find a parking spot at night, and the restaurant is packed full
of people drinking and talking. Definetely worth a look at on
a weekend night, if you're up to meeting a LOT of people.

| Mimi's Cafe | Anaheim, CA | |
|
Mimi's is a great restaurant with a very classy look, but
with prices that match Denny's.
|
||
| Joeys Barbq | Chino, CA | |
|
Might not be the best date place because you'll get amazingly
messy, but it's really really good. There's a larger
Joey's BBQ in Pomona.

| El Torito | Daly City, CA | |
|
El Torito has really large portions and one of the few mexican
restaurants that has fried ice cream
|
||
| Chez Panisse | Berkeley, CA | |
|
Extremely good, you may feel out of place at times if you're
not the fancy type

| Pizza Hut | Fullerton, CA | |
|
I've never been impressed with pizza hut. It tastes bad,
and your orders are usually wrong.

| Old Venice | Manhattan Beach, CA | |
|
Excellent pizza, defientely a winner as you can get great food,
for a low price.
|
||
| Islands Restaurant | Manhattan Beach, CA | |
|
Glarge selection of burgers (unfortunately burgers don't
come with fries, and they don't have side orders, so you have
to order the large $3 basket of fries). A fun atmosphere, great
for a date.

| La Fiesta | Mountain View, CA | |
|
This mexican restaurant has my mixed reviews. On occasions I've
had good service, and on others it has been terrible. The food
is nothing special, but it's not horrible either

| In-N-Out Burger | Milpitas, CA | |
|
The best hamburgers in the world....the best fast food place
in the world! I'm not very impressed with their fries, and
their shakes are weak in flavor, but there's a reason they
give gift certificates....there is no burger better.

| Acapulco Mexican Restaurant | Fresno, CA | |
|
They have a great brunch on the weekends with an omelet bar and
fresh fruit. Happy hour is great, and some locations have karaoke
on tuesday nights.

||
| Carrows Family Restaurant | Buena Park, CA | |
|
Carrows ties closely with a Denny's type restaurant. Their
food is okay, and I'm not too impressed with their omelets
or service.
|
||
| El Pollo Loco | Buena Park, CA | |
|
El Pollo Loco is a smart "healthy" type fast food place.
There food doesn't exactly taste like fast food. They have
these pollo bowls that are excellent and heat up well if you take
them home. They also have great family pacages of chicken. My
favorite fast food restaurant

||
| Carls Jr. Restaurants | Buena Park, CA | |
|
In my opinion, one of the better fast food chains. They serve baked
potatoes and fried zucchini (awesome) and some other alternatives
that aren't common in most chains.

||
| Home Town Buffet | Buena Park, CA | |
|
I've never been impressed with this restaurant. It's
always hard to get your food with people running around everywhere
and getting a refill on your drink is almost impossible. It's
just too hectic for me.

| A & W Rootbeer Drive in | Buena Park, CA | |
|
The only place with the original root beer. They have really good
fries and chicken strips.
|
||
| National Sports Grill & Barr | Buena Park, CA | |
|
Great bar and a great hangout. Not a good place for a date, as the
guy will probably be drooling over the waitress' attire.
|
||
| Macaroni Grill | Huntington Beach, CA | |
|
I knew a guy that worked herem and he never had any horror stories
about the restaurant. The service is good, and although the prices
are high, you get what you pay for.

||
| Papa Johns Pizza | Huntington Beach, CA | |
|
Papa Johns is great! There pizza is one of the best. It always tastes
fresh, with good ingredients and chopped toppings.
