| Durango Steak House | Clearwater, FL | |

Relatively good steak house, a little pric for the fare, but overall
not bad. Service during lunch can be spotty. Better than Lone
Star, not as good as Outback.

| Kiku Japanese Restaurant | Clearwater, FL | |
|
Decent sushi, tempura not too bad. Sometimes they'll go
"off the menu" to make a custom roll, but you have to
ask on the right day. Dinner fare is better than some, but they
should stop trying to be Beni Hana's Lite and stick with what
they do best.

| Country Pizza Inn | Clearwater, FL | |
|
Expensive (for pizza)? Yes!
Slow? Yes!
Worth it? Absolutely.

I agree with the other reviewer, the decor is confusing and the
name is worse, but there is no doubt they do a great job in the kitchen.
Try the stuffed grape leaves, if they haven't already sold
out by the time you order them.

| Joe's Crab Shack | Clearwater, FL | |
|
Think TGIFriday's with a Key West flair. Too much cutesy
crap on the walls. Trying to hard to be Margaritaville and not
hard enough to be a restaurant. Food is okay and the portions are
generous, but they could do more with less, and for less.

| Johnny's Italian Restaurant | Clearwater, FL | |
|
Now this is what a neighborhood Italian restaurant should be.
Excellent food, reasonably priced, and the staff is the nicest
in the area. Bring a business client, a date, or the kids. Everything
works here. I highly recommend

| Country Skillet Restaurant | Clearwater, FL | |
|
If you want your diner to be spotless, go to Denny's. If you
like a greasy spoon then come on in. Has the ambiance of a 60's
truck stop diner and the food is even better. As Agent Cooper on
Twin Peaks said, "Damn fine cup of coffee". Great
value and huge portions. Just don't go in expecting linens
and fine china.

| Country Pizza Inn | Palm Harbor, FL | |
|
Part of a small chain of Italian restaurants, Country Pizza Inn
in Palm Harbor feels and looks more like an old family pizza joint.
The quality of the pizza is very good and the value isn't bad.
The other menu items are about what you would expect, ziti, lasagna,
calzone, etc. All resonably priced and made from scratch. Much
better choice than the dozens of production pizza joints in the
area.

| Little Caesars | Palm Harbor, FL | |
|
If you want a pizza fast, you can't beat it. Always has cheese
or pepperoni pizzas ready to go for $5.00. If you're going
by and want to take pizza home, stop in and grab one. If you're
already home, don't make the trip. There are better places
that deliver in the area.

| Tiffany's Restaurant | Palm Harbor, FL | |
|
One of my all time favorite places. If you think all the mom and
pop places have been pushed aside by the chains, come to Tiffany's.
Breakfast is the best in town and the rest of the menu is very good
too. Great value, generous portions. Very friendly staff. Family
owned and operated.

| Alley Cats Cafe | Clearwater, FL | |
|
Above average 'bar' fare, many unique menu offerings.
The baked brie is excellent and the burgers are wonderful. The
waitstaff can be hit or miss. Sometimes hard to get a table for
dinner from the bar overflow. Still worth the trip.

| Carmelita's Mexican Restaurant | Clearwater, FL | |
|
Tremendous menu variety here. If there is anything Mexican you
want, it's on there somewhere. Quality of the food is not
bad, but it's a great value. Great chips and salsa while you
wait, giant drinks are normal. Staff is usually very attentive.

| Cafe Ponte' | Clearwater, FL | |
|
Best new restaurant in the Clearwater area in a long time. For
those who knew The Grill when it was still good, this place is better
and cheaper! Wolfgang Puck makes a point to come here whenever
he's in town for Home Shopping Network taping. Lunch menu
is almost as spectacular as the dinner menu. Service is almost
always top shelf too. I highly recommend.
