| China Royal Restaurant | Memphis, TN | |
|
This is my son's favorite restaurant. He would have lunch here
every Sunday, if we would let him. The buffet is excellent, with a wide
variety of foods that will appeal to Chinese food addicts as well as
those who are not so fond of the cuisine, like my husband. We've
never had to wait for a table on a Sunday after church and the service
has always been quick and friendly.

| Mc Alister's Gourmet Deli | Memphis, TN | |
|
Really good! They are friendly and the food is fresh! The sandwiches
are huge (but costly) and the tators are GREAT! Especially the loaded
ones they are a meal in themselves. We love to eat here the great thing
is that more are coming in to the area! Get the Iced Tea (I like unsweetened),
but, both are Great!

| Dyer's Burgers | Memphis, TN | |
|
When you eat here as in the one in Bartlett (their other location on Stage
Rd) - bring your Tums cause you will eat until you cld die it is that GOOD!
They are generally friendly and it is clean! Have to eat them there unless
you live really close- cause once they get cold it isn't as good
but still make you slap your gandmother down it is so good!1 :-) GOOD
BURGER JOINT- Can't BE BEAT

| Nagasaki Inn | Memphis, TN | |
|
Great place to eat (not really a plave for high chairs) the chefs cook
the dinner at your table and they are very entertaining. For the price
you get all you want to eat. A large meal. You sit at a table with other
family's and you may request to sit on the floor. It is, however,
a japenese restaurant, not a thai. Definatly my favorite place to eat.

| Folk's Folly Prime Steak House | Memphis, TN | |
|
Mr. Folk opened this restaurant after he couldn't get Chris Steak
House in New Orleans to sell him a franchise. One of the two best steak
restaurants in Memphis, along with Ruth's Chris (the successor
to Chris Steak House). Great steaks, fresh salads and good service,
although everything is ala carte so the tab can add up quickly. Try the
fried pickles!

| Leonard's Pit Barbecue | Memphis, TN | |
|
I was taken here by locals. After eating at Charlie Vergo's (home
of dry dub ribs) I was ready to dig into some "wet" (with sauce)
ribs. Well, this was a great choice, as the ribs (and just about everything
else in sight) at Leonard's was indeed worth writing home about.
Nice sit-down, family-friendly eating place, with lots of great Memphis-style
barbeque (or barbecue or BBQ, whatever you like) available. Well worth
a visit, well worth your rib-picking while!

| Interstate Bar-B-Q & Rstrnt | Memphis, TN | |
|
I saw this restaurant being profiled on the Food Network and remembered
when I used to turn around on the parking lot after missing my exit onto
the Interstate. I stopped recently and had a chopped beef salad, which
I had never heard of. The BEST BBQ BEEF outside of Texas !!

| Tampa Ale House | Tampa, FL | |
|
Food is good with a festive atmosphere. Watch out for ladies night;
it is almost impossible to get it. Get good consistent food across the
many store locations. Large bar and if you get there early you might
be able to grab one of the few pool tables or dart boards.

| Westshore Pizza III | Tampa, FL | |
|
I have eaten at The Westshore Pizza on Westshore Blvd. it is fantastic,
the pizza is great, the hoagies taste like they were flown in from Philadelphia,
if you are from Philadelphia and I am this is the place to go...hoagies,
pizza, tastycakes...what more could you ask for.

| Bern's Steak House | Tampa, FL | |
|
They really pushed the Chateaubriand {the barrel of the filet mignon)
"seared" for 2, and instead of slicing it as you and I would,
they suggest to slice it lengthwise on the barrel. Mr. Romantic doesn't
like grisle and since his was laced with it, his dining pleasure sunk
fast. After our tour of the kitchen and wine cellar (I can't believe
their insurance company would allow them to do this, but they do. I was
very impressed because they are one of the only restaurants I have seen
in FLA that actually use hairnets/caps and rubber gloves when preparing
foods) we were on our way to desserts....which were all amazing.

| Charley's Steak | Tampa, FL | |
|
The service alone is enough reason to visit. Their steaks are out of
this world good, and need no additional flavoring (Steak sauce, bernaise,
etc) The bread is excellent, as is the salad that is included in your
meal. I've been here 5 times and have sat at and eaten at the bar every
time- the bartenders have great personality and are very friendly.
One of the only places in Tampa that TOPS OFF their VERY large martini's.

| Ceviche' | Tampa, FL | |
|
A must for anyone who appreciates great food. A substantial menu of
Tapa like food. The wonderful thing about the portions, (appetizer
size), is that it allows you to try more of the menu. Also don't forget
about the fresh Sangria, especially the Champagne Sangria.

| Columbia Restaurant | Tampa, FL | |
|
Incredible restaraunt. The inside is loaded with cuban culture that
you could spend an hour just trying to absorb. They even have live flaminco
dancers. I learned of Paella (sp?) at the Columbia. Even though you
have to wait longer than normal it is worth it for this dish. The Ybor
location is full of nightlife and the St. Pete location has incredible
views off the 3rd story on the Pier.

|

| Ichiban Japanese Cuisine | Tampa, FL | |
|
A marvelous sushi retaurant on Fowler Ave in Tampa. They have an excellent
variety on the menu all the time. The only thing that changes is the quantity
of any item that you order depending on what is freshest that day. The
service is wonderful and they will quickly remember who you are and
greet you like old friends every time you arrive.

| Tumbleweed Cafe | Tampa, FL | |
|
How do you explain excellence? This breakfast and lunch cafe is easy
to miss but no one should. I had breakfast there and will make it a regular
stop if that meal was any indication of the quality. I just had a western
omlette with potatoes and a wide choice of bread, I chose pumpernickel
toast. the omlette came out very large, very fluffy and all ingredients
perfectly done. the potatoes looked good but also tastes better than
I have had before in other places when they didn't live up to the
looks. I don't know if it is the kind of potato, kind of oil, or seasonings,
or just the love of the cook, but they were also delicious. and for "fast
food" prices, you can get a wide variety of good lunches for less
than $5. Inexpensive and good rarely go together, but this place wins
on all points, including prompt and friendly service.

| Melting Pot Restaurants | Tampa, FL | |
|
Love the fiesta cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue. The California
salad used to be excellent but it now tastes different, not as good.
My favorite entree was the tuscan but was taken off the menu for reasons
unknown. One could make a meal out of the cheese fondue a salad and chocolate
fondue for dessert. The Turtle fondue is the best!

| Jimbo's Pit Bar-B-Que | Tampa, FL | |
|
This is the quinessential bbq restaurant, wheter it be the picnic tables
in the seating area, the pepper bar or the hush puppies on the side, you
are sure to enjoy the feast in store for you. The meals are huge; hefty
order of meat, two sides and hush puppies to boot! I believe they have
the best beans I've had, and I am from the Deep South. I would love
to say I have sampled the entire menu, but I usually end up getting the
same thing...chopped pork dinner. The reason I get the same dinner,
IT'S TOO DARN GOOD NOT TOO! I have tried the chicken and the beef,
and they were excellent as well. The staff is always friendly, courteous
and helpful...plus they can get 2 meals ready in less than 10 minutes!
All in all, a great bbq experience.

| The Cheesecake Factory | Tampa, FL | |
|
Oh yeah, one of my favorite, I mean favorite places to eat. You got can
I say, internationally diverse meals ranging from thai, to French,
etc. The food is simply excellent, and the atmosphere is definitely
high class, even though the name throws u off. But when its all said and
done with, forget abt the main course, you got so many different version's
of cheesecake its like amazing. I've only had 3 different version's
and each one of them were fantastic. I have a thing for their cookies
& Cream. I'd definitely recommend this place
for a good evening for food, and desert. Not to mention this is my girl's
favorite place to eat. lol.
