Very good BBQ. Falling off the bone good! Needed no sauce on any kind
[though they offer about 5]. Had 1/2 rack of baby back ribs, with baked
potato & slaw, came with corn bread. Also pulled pork sandwich,
with beans& aked potato. They also make a good drink. Well worth
a visit!

| Ristorante Donatello | Saugus, MA | |
|
We`had pasta=orecchiette [home made] with a good sauce; and a pre fix
dinner that came with ceasar salad, veal picatta & cannoli. Ceasar
salad was very good, veal nice but could have been cooked another minute,
canolli home made with ricotta. Good glass of ferrari fume blanc.

| The Farmer's Table | Portland, ME | |
|
This used to the Mim's. Same general layout, still cold downstairs
and not so nice upstairs. But we ate at the bar-good fresh local food.
And an interesting wine selection. This is an improvement over what
Mim's was. Had onion soup-good no salty; crab cake; ground veal
in polenta, wrapped in a cabbage leaf with some red sauce. Interesting
wine selections, ,

| Red Fish Grille | Plainview, NY | |
|
2nd visit-the $25 3 course special is not to be beat! Not only is it good, they don't skimp on the portiion size. App=fried
calamari; entre=tilapia picata, with mashed, broccholi; dessert=rummy
bread pudding with chocolate. Also had whole tilapia wok fried with
a salsa. It is a great presentation-the cubed whole fish, and the spine,
skin, head and tail circled with the cubes inside. Good reasonable
wine list. The service is very attentive. This you shouod go out of your
way for.

| Bin 100 | Milford, CT | |
|
Went for price fixed brunch @ $15 per person. Had frittata, french toast,
bacon & eggs, steak & eggs, crab cake & eggs & a burger.
Comes with OJ. Coffee is extra. All of the food was very good, fresh and
done well. The french toast & the burger were not worth the money,
BUT everything else was. The ambiance and decor were outstanding-right
down to the rest rooms!

| Fuji Restaurant | Portland, ME | |
|
Fuji has sushi upstairs and hibachi downstairs; but it also has a dining
room. We had bibam bap [without the hot sauce] and chicken & vegetable
tempura. The bibam bap was good and served in a szilling pot, the tempura
was fried, delicate and tasty. A Kirin beer topped it all off.

his is pretty good for the price, and the food wads decent.

| Rose's Old World Restaurant | Windham, ME | |
|
Passed many times, never went in. Tried it this time one someone's
recommendation. We both had the chicken marsalla, it was ok. But restaurants
['italian'] continue to serve chicken with pasta. Just not
done in Italy. Besides the pasta was well pasted 'al dente'.
The dish was ok and came with salad bar. With a good glass of scillian
wine it was fine for what it is.

| Frog and Turtle | Westbrook, ME | |
|
Well we tried this again. We had dinner=which is a strange meal here.
Hamburger was not one piece, it came apart=hard to eat. Also ordered
mushroom raviolli. It was $17 for 3 or 4 [not sure] over some peppery
watercress. Called a small plate, but tremendously overpriced. There
is nobody to seat you.. service is slow and spotty; and then at the end of the meal they bring
the charge machine to your table, and the wait person stands there while
you have to enter the tip on the machine=gauche!!! Stick to the brunch!!

| Kon Asian Bostro | Portland, ME | |
|
Large place....has all of: sushi bar; restaurant & hibacchi tables.
We were hungry and the fastest service & seating was regular dinner.
Very crowded=Valentine's day. Good food & service. Nice
to see a place full in this economic atmosphere. Well worth a visit. Had chicken pad thia; orange ginger duck ; glass
la crema pinot noir.

||
| Green Elephant | Portland, ME | |
|
Lunch...I don't especially like vegetarian food, BUT, this is
the best vegetarian restaurant I've tried. Very tasty and interesting food. Had Asian stir fry; tofu-vegie teriaki;
good glass of Avondale chardonnay. This is well worth a visit.

| Casa Maya | Saint Augustine, FL | |
|
This one can be skipped. Sangria=cheap red wine with diced apples,
no citrus, no gran marnier/triple sec. Soup was good and home made.
Cuban samdwich was their interpretation with garlic?

| Publick House Historic Resort | Sturbridge, MA | |
|
Think they are coasting on past glories. Had lunch, been going here
for over 10 years. Food is nothing to write home about. Fish sandwich=decent;
turkey veg soup=too salty & spicy. Stale sweet rolls in bread basket.
Try somewheres else...

| Habana Village Cafe | Saint Augustine, FL | |
|
Good Cuban food!!! Had tilapia blackened & lechon asado [pork],
both with cuban rice & beans & fried yucca. Had great Mojito's,
with lots of fresh mint & bacardi, tres leches for dessert [like
triffle] and cuban coffee. Really authentic food....

| Randy's Restaurant Fish Mkt | Naples, FL | |
|
Went for lunch...had calamari fried, came with potatoe salad &
cole slaw=very good and fresh. Also had salad with grilled mahi mahi.
The fish tasted of the grill [possibly not tooo clean]. But again it
was fresh. Great coconut dessert and a large coffee. They also have a problem with little fruit flies, which they should
try to remedy [one got into my wine, anothetr into the food]. Still worth
a try...

| Perkin's Restaurant | Bonita Springs, FL | |
|
This is a diner dressed up as a restaurant. The service is not the greatest.
The food matches the service. Hadfrench toast; potato pancakes, coffee.
NOT a satisfying experience..
|
||
| Dolly's Produce Patch | Bonita Springs, FL | |
|
They have a sign that states they have a small kitchen and it takes time
to get served. BUT the amount of time it took was ridiculous. No service
provided after we were seated. Get your own coffee after the original
first cup. You can get breakfast anywhere else, just as good and be served
the way you s/b. Skip this one

| Cafe Italia | Naples, FL | |
|
This was previously in Naples Park=they moved. Tried twice for lunch.
First time was better than the second. Had grouper francese, bass ala
orange [with basil, orange & peaches] came with potatoes and veggies.
The second time same grouper [it was totally different], chicken marsalla.
The chicken had so much garlic that it overwhelmed everything [it s/b
sweet from the wine] with pasta & veggies. Also had capuccino both
times, and they were entirley different. Would recommend this, with
some reservations...
