| Uncle Vito's Ny Pizza | Lawrenceville, GA | |
|
Traditional NY Style pizza, reminds me of when I used to be a Yankee.
Food is great (try the meatball sub!) and service is average.
Pluse there's a few arcade games to pass the time while you
wait for your pizza.

| Cafe Au Lait | Lawrenceville, GA | |
|
While the regular coffee is a bit inconsistant, the decaf and
speciality drinks tend to fare better. A bottomless cup of joe
in a large mug runs you a couple bucks and the sandwhiches tend
to be a bit overpriced for the amount of food they serve you. Best
thing to do is get a cup of joe and dessert (my personal favorite
is the raspberry chocolate mouse cake) which will run you about
$5 total.

Convenient to the AMC Colonial 18 it makes a great stop for before
or after a movie. Weekends typically will have live music as well,
making it a perfect date night.

||
| Golden Palace | Lawrenceville, GA | |
|
Nothing too special about this restaurant, you tend to get more
food for your money at other Chinese restaurants in the area and
some traditional menu items lack that certain flavor. The sesame
beef is rather tired and shrimp dishes are small. Stick with chicken
and rib menu items for the best experience.
|
||
| Outback Steakhouse | Lilburn, GA | |
|
Your traditional steak-house franchise. While the food is average
and the atmosphere comfortable, the selection is what makes
this a good family restaurant. From Mac 'n Cheese for the
kids to Prime Rib for dad and a good selection of beverages, everyone
will leave satisfied.
Watch out for weekends - waits can be over 2 hours.
|
||
| Bahama Breeze | Duluth, GA | |
|
An interesting variety of menu items makes this a place to come
back to. If you can't decide, go with your first choice, then
come back for your second. Wait staff is very friendly and seem
to enjoy working there and are more than willing to point out a
few of their favorite dishes.
The bar is excellent and fully stocked - no fear that they'll
run out of your favorite alternative beverage. Waits can be a
bit long on the weekends, so go early or arrive late. Open kitchen
gives you an inside view to where your meal is being prepared and
the amount of fun that the chef is having.
Great for meeting new or old friends it's a fun, inviting
restaurant.
|
||
| Dave & Buster's | Duluth, GA | |
|
Don't come for the food - come for the games. Appetizers and
drinks are fine, but burgers and fish tend to have a frozen taste
to them, although they tend to fare better if you cater an event
there.
Games are the primary driver. Check out the "business lunch"
deals, they tend to have some good specials.

||
| Hops Restaurant Bar & Brewery | Duluth, GA | |
|
Good beer made on-site. They're trying to upgrade their
menu items, so a few favorites have come off the menu. Ribs are
excellent, as are the burgers. If you like a lighter meal, try
the thai (asian) chicken salad - it's got a great taste.
Feel free to order at the bar if you're stuck waiting for a
table. Take out service is excellent.

| Vickery's Crescent Avenue Bar | Atlanta, GA | |
|
Get the Vick's Burger! One of my favorite burgers in town
- this old house-turned-restaurant is a great sandwhich place
to bring friends or clients.
Ask the staff about the dog that ran for President, and which famous
Atlanta novelist spent a good portion of time writing in the house.
Appetizers are mediocre, so stick with the main entree and dessert.
|
||
| Max Lager's American Grill & Brewery | Atlanta, GA | |
|
Aren't there any good brewhouses in town? While the beer
was average, the food was a bit mediocre. Atmosphere is nice,
so more money must have gone into the facility rather than the
food. Tried it a few times and can only say that the food is "consistent."
Dinner is also better than lunch.

||
| Lil' Dino Deli & Grill | Atlanta, GA | |
|
One of the best midtown Deli's, Lil' Dino is a pleasure
for the college scene and for local employees. Generous subs
and great chicken - you shouldn't pass this up!
Parking is a bit of a problem in the area, so try to find a side street
and walk. It's worth the food!
|
||
| Big Red Tomato | Atlanta, GA | |
|
Once in a while a small restaurant will suprise you with a meal
that becomes your new favorite - Big Red Tomato's stuffed
mushroom ravioli with lobster cream sauce is just that meal.
Always delicious and better than the last time! Pasta is hand
made on-site, service is pleasant and wait times are rarely too
long.
Great for first dates and a short walk from Piedmont park!
|
||
| Veni Vidi Vici | Atlanta, GA | |
|
While meals tend to be a bit overpriced, they are consistently
delicious. After tasting their desserts, this restaurant has
become a favorite "after dinner" spot for coffee
and pastries.
Service is excellent and atmosphere is enjoyable. There is a
dress code, so leave the jeans at home.
|
||
| Old Spaghetti Factory | Atlanta, GA | |
|
Overpriced mediocre pasta says it all! Nothing original or stand
out, I went once and never came back.
|
||
| Pad Thai Restaurant | Atlanta, GA | |
|
Great selection of thai, their namesake is one of the best items
on the menu. Extra special attention is given to each plate, with
ornately carved vegetables and fruit as garnish it all looks
almost too good to eat. Items can be made to order, so if you don't
like anything spicy, let them know. Otherwise this is a great
introduction into the world of thai food for anyone.
|
||
| Jaqbo Bakery | Atlanta, GA | |
|
One of midtowns best kept secrets, lunch and desserts are incredible.
The turkey loaf is exceptional and is made to order. No seating
-everything is take out, so it's perfect for when you're
in a hurry.
Grab a sandwhich and take a date to Piedmont park for a picnic.
|
||
| Central Subs & Gyros | Atlanta, GA | |
|
Great little midtown find! Parking is a bit of a hassle, but it's
across from the Arts Center marta station so it's accessible
from anywhere in the city for lunch or dinner. Staff is friendly
and food is always good.
|
||
| Agnes and Muriel's | Atlanta, GA | |
|
Chicken pot pie and mac 'n cheese are delicious with a true
southern flair. Great for taking clients from the North who want
to experience the South. Atmosphere is casual and fun - don't
be afraid to mix and match menu items; they'll serve it with
a smile.
Valet parking definitely a bonus and within walking distance
to a coffee shop for your after dinner desires.
|
||
| Cowtippers | Atlanta, GA | |
|
This cow has definitely been tipped. Metrotainment (who owns
the restaurant) has been spending more attention on Garrison's
(it's upscale restaurant) and has seen this one-time favorite
suffer. Burgers are still good and steaks are still the best dollar
value intown, but the food quality has dropped overall.
There's plenty of room for improvement and hopefully it'll
be back to normal standards.
|
||
| Garrison's Vinings | Atlanta, GA | |
|
You simply can't go wrong with this restaurant - from their
extensive wine list to mouth-watering steaks made to order Garrison's
is a complete winner. Take a loved one or a bunch of co-workers
you will leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. Be sure
to ask for server recommendations - they'll help steer you
in th right direction. And save room for dessert!
|
||
| Flying Biscuit | Atlanta, GA | |
|
A true Atlanta original, the Flying Biscuit offers great breakfast
and lunchtime fare. The Biscuits are classic and Sunday Brunch
always has a wait - no matter how early you arrive, but it's
worth every bite. Take a box of biscuits home with you after your
meal and savor every last bite. Scrumptious!
