| Geno's Steaks | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
More Meat, real provolone cheese, tastier and more tender meat,
plus well lit for that late night snack. I have driven 20 miles
just to get the real thing at Geno's. As for the famous Philadelphia
Cheesesteak , Genos is certainly one of the best.

| Pub | Merchantville, NJ | |
|
I have been going to the Pub for over 25 years. I have seen it change
management several times and ownership. Known as the largest
dining room in the county, the Open Hearth brick ovens make for
an excellent way to cook Steaks and Chops over an open mesquite
wood fire. Their Salad Bar choices are famous, led by their unusally
good tasting Zucchini Bread and fresh made Caesar Salad(no bottled
dressing). Their King cut Prime Rib can feed an entire family
and is as tender as it is tasty. You will find the Pub traditions
and quality has endured for the most part. Their Cocktail lounge
is not as popular as it used to be, mainly because of the neighborhood
and increased competition in nearby Cherry Hill. Don't
worry about your car though, they have a guard watching the lot.

| Cap'n Cat Clam Bar of Voorhees | Voorhees, NJ | |
|
Crabs, Crabs, and more Crabs. This is the place to go if you want
Crab legs, but beware, it gets pricey. One of the best places to
get Alasken King Crab legs, but the entree is $19.95 a pound, which
is not enough for a decent appetite (mostly shell). The Combo
is more reasonable for $25.95 (1 King crab, 1 Snow cluster, 1 Dungeness
crab cluster)and very tasty.

| Country Club Diner | Voorhees, NJ | |
|
The Food is of average diner quality, the service is okay depending
on what kind of mood your waitress is in. The management has an
attitide that does not appreciate regular customers. We use
to frequent the restaurant at least once a month, until my wife
found a live bug in her lettuce. The Managements response was
to take 50 cents off the bill and to act like this is normal and they
were doing us a favor. Have not been back since.

| Echo Pizza and Wings | Voorhees, NJ | |
|
Very good Pizza and their hours are great. Open till 2am on weekends.
They deliver locally. There Steak sandwhiches are very meaty
but the bread is too soft and spongey. Primarily a takeout place
although there maybe one or two tables in the store. They advertise
alot and even if you forget the coupon they will give you the discounted
price if you ask.

| Library II Restaurant & Lounge | Voorhees, NJ | |
|
I found the price a little excessive, the lowest priced Filet
Mignon is 24.95. My wife and I cannot leave without the check including
tax and tip to be in excess of 90 dollars. The Salad Bar is great,
but the place is a fire trap in my opinion. Each table is candle
lit and although they strive for a Romantic atmosphere, the tables
are too close together to acheive the result. Best to go early
at 5pm, when it first opens because the food is very good.

| Ramada Inn | Vineland, NJ | |
|
I like this place for a nice quiet business lunch. The Caeser Chicken
salad is excellent and their lunch menu is reasonably priced.
Their ambience is very elegent and the service is great. Family
owned and operated, this is one of the better restaurants in this
town.

| New Vincentown Diner | Vincentown, NJ | |
|
Good diner type food with a greek flair. If you are on the road this
is a great place to stop. Priced reasonably for the portions given,
I enjoyed my open faced Turkey with all the trimmings. Childrens
menu for the little ones, and I thought the service was better
than most other diners. They seem to appreciate your business.

| Wellington and Chan Steak House | Atlantic City, NJ | |
|
This Restaurant has now changed to just Wellingtons. No more
Asian Flair. I disagree with the prior review because I found
my meal on par with the better than average steak house. Perhaps
since our meal was paid for with casino comps (Tropicana's
Steakhouse) I enjoyed it a lot more. My Fillet was cooked perfectly
and was a Prime cut, tasty, Juicy and tender. The baked potatoe
was crunchy on the outside, tender and hot on the inside, just
the way I like it. My Ceaser salad was good, although I have had
better. The fresh bread was good. The total bill including a couple
glasses of Zifendal was approximately $110 including taxes
and tip. If you have comps, great way to use them. Reservations
are necessary on weekends or you will not be able to get in.

| The Oaks | Atlantic City, NJ | |
|
My favorite meal is a Perfectly cooked Fillet Mignon, Baked Potatoe,
Caeser Salad, and fresh baked bread. My wife and I and another
couple decided to go to the Hilton Casino to see Three Dog Night(sorry
giving away my age). We decide to eat at one of the gourmet restaurants
and had made reservations. When we arrived we checked out the
menu and did not like the choices so without reservations on a
Saturday night we were able to get into The Oaks Steakhouse. Great
atmosphere and the service was excellent. Although pricey $200
for the four of us including a bottle of wine. Fortunately we had
enough comps for half of the bill. My wife had the Chilean Sea bass
which was tender, tasty and very well prepared. Tony had the Pork
tenderloin and raved about his meal. His wife had salmon and enjoyed
her meal. I loved the fillet mignon and asked for their sauces
on the side. They were all good and worth trying. Dessert choices
were great too. I highly recommend this place, especially if
you have comps. Remember, All Bally's casino properties
comps are now transferable, so you can use Caesers, Claridge,
Wild West and Bally's comps there.

| Stage Delicatessen | Atlantic City, NJ | |
|
Inside the Trump Taj Mahal is a replica of one of New York City's
best Deli's, Stage Deli. The original is not as nice as this
one. Here the seating is roomier, the service is friendlier and
the portions are well not quite as big as NYC. To me, a Deli must
have great Kosher Pickles, and the Stage did not disappoint.
The Corned beef was lean and tasty. The coleslaw was fresh and
the Russian dressing was thick and creamy. My wife ordered a plain
turkey and it tasted fresh made. The rye bread was good, but not
as fresh as I expected. The large homemade cookies are a meal in
itself. If you like good quality deli food, the Stage is for you.

| Virginia City Buffet | Atlantic City, NJ | |
|
This used to be my favorite AC buffet, but as time goes by the quality
has slipped a little. The Steaks are now stacked up on the grill
and if you are not demanding you will get a dried out steak, especially
if you ask for well done. Also, the quality of the steak is now select
(not choice which is more expensive and used to be the standard).
I have not verified with Management, not that they would tell
me, but I can just tell by the amount of fat and the lack of tenderness.
The deli section rye bread is no longer as fresh, and they do not
seem eager to fresh cut you your deli meat like they used to. Also,
the sour pickles have been served spoiled on more than one occasion.
The desserts are still great, except no more fresh Oreos for the
soft serve ice cream. However, the Buffet is still one of the better
ones in AC.

| Big John's Steaks Deli & Pizza | Cherry Hill, NJ | |
|
If you want a meaty Philadelphia style Cheesesteak, then this
is a good place. The french fries are not so great. The Pickle bar
is a nice touch and the only reason I dine in. The service could
be better. The owners should spend some money to upgrade the dining
area and bathrooms. Kids menu for the little ones available.

| Lamberti's Cucina | Cherry Hill, NJ | |
|
My son and I recently had dinner there while my daughter was attending
her ballet class. Although we ate around 6:30 pm, there were only
2 other parties in the restaurant. I ordered Veal Parm and my 16
year old son ordered Chicken Parm. the service was slow, but adequate.
The veal was a smaller portion than expected but just enough.
The taste was impressivley good and the veal very thin and tender.
The sauce tasted homemade and they gave me a soup bowl size because
I requested it on the side. The capellini tasted a little overdone,
I like aldente. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the bread was
a tasty sicilian pizza type without the mozzerella, served hot.
My son said the Chicken Parm was very good and he finished his entire
portion. Our total bill including tax and tip was $42.00.

| Ponzio's Restaurant & Bakeshop | Cherry Hill, NJ | |
|
The previous reviews are over three years old. This Cherry hill
Landmark has a great tradition with the locals (Like Me) Some
of the Bakery items, like cookies, homentashen, cakes and pies
are sensational and better quality than most bakeries. Their
strawberry cheesecake is great too. Dinner entrees are a bit
expensive, but the portions make up for it. The fresh baked cinnamin
bread and cheeserolls come in a basket with dinner rolls and rye
bread. This is included with your entree. The service really
depends on the server. I have had great and not so great in the many
times I have been there. For a family of four the bill for dinner
including tax and tip came to $75.00. I recommend Veal or Chicken
Parmesian, Broiled Salmon, flounder or Haddock. This is also
the perfect late night snack place and their sandwhiches are
good, but not great. All in all I think you should give this place
a try, if for nothing else, the bakery items.

| Red Hot and Blue | Cherry Hill, NJ | |
|
If you are in the mood for real tender, meaty ribs, that fall off
the bones and don't mind some tasty fat, then this is the best
rib place around. Their secret is to slow cook them all day. They
serve with a dry sauce or wet sauce. I prefer wet. Their side dishes
are baked beans and home made coleslaw. You can trade your beans
for great french fries if you prefer. Live blues music on weekends,
but we usually go during the week. They do have an all you can eat
rib night, but their normal portions are adequate.

| Short Hills Restaurant & Deli | Cherry Hill, NJ | |
|
Nice atmosphere and a great place to see all the people who know
people in Cherry Hill. The Food is very good and the prices are
reasonable. The service is adequate too. The protions are not
that great, but sufficient for most appetites. I enjoy the smoked
fish platter, although the Nova Smoked Salmon is pre-sliced
as in most places now-a-days. My 14 year old daughter loves the
chicken matzo-ball soup. My wife says the fresh turkey sandwhich
is the best around. My son loves the sweet potatoe fries (a real
treat served with honey). Although there is another deli close
by that is also great, Short Hills holds its own.

| Baron's Steak House | Clementon, NJ | |
|
I recently went there for a bowling banquet and was quite disappointed.
The service was slow, The appetizers were the same as the served
salad, and the entrees were served luke warm. The prime rib was
not prime, and had too much fat on it. the bread was cold as in previously
frozen, and the parfait desserts were poor at best. They tasted
icey as in melted, refrozen and melted again. I do not recommend
this place for an affair.

| Berlin Diner | Berlin, NJ | |
|
Their claim to fame is this is where Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck filmed a scene in their upcoming movie, Jersey Girl. As for the food, it is okay for the price. The service is friendly and efficient. This place is a perfect average diner with average diner food.

| Palace Diner Restaurant | Berlin, NJ | |
|
Great location at the Berlin Circle on the way to the shore from
Northeast Philly. This was like the halfway point for us when
I lived in Philly years ago. They have very good diner food. I thoroughly
enjoyed my Purdue roasted Chicken entree. The Turkey was good
also. Like mopst of the previous reviews, I have been there quite
a few times. We even tried the late night desserts and were pleasantly
surprised how good their Strawberry Cheesecake and Lemon Marenge
Pie were. Service is always good too.
