| Nascar Cafe | Nashville, TN | |

We only stopped in for drinks. Played some racing video games
too, cost 4 tokens! 3 tokens for a buck... gets kinda costly.
The simulator was $5, no one was willing to fork it up to try
it out. The NASCAR theme might be cool if you're into that, but
we weren't.

| Sunset Grill | Nashville, TN | |

The food was excellent, and had enough variety to satisfy
everyone. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Wine selection was superb, and presentation was very nice.
Was the best place we ate at our whole trip to Nashville.

| Merchants Restaurant | Nashville, TN | |
|
Went with a large group of 11, and were sectioned off from the
rest of the sparse crowd, on a saturday night. The food was
actually very good, though the menu was not very diverse. And
our waiter even recommended not getting 1 of the entree items.
The restaurant was very warm, and half of our group was sitting
on a booth-type bench. Not good when you're dressed up. The
wine was served warm, as was the sherry. When we asked about
that, we were given an excuse that it is tough to keep an old
building cool. Refrigerate! This restaurant was recommended
by our tour book, which frankly surprises me. Hope future tourists
read this!

| Wolfy's | Nashville, TN | |
|
The food was very average. Not exceptional at all. The local
brew "Market Street", was recommended by the waitress. It is
a vanilla beer, so only get it if you think you'd like it. I
probably would not eat here again.

| Golden Wok Chinese Restaurant | State College, PA | |
|
Very Good food, and a nice dining environment. It does get busy
at lunchtime, so they may rush you out. Makes a nice casual
luncheon date place or dress up a bit more for dinner.
They drove me a bit nuts with refilling my water constantly.

| Tavern Restaurant | State College, PA | |
|
Nice dining environment. Food overall is good, side dishes are
served in small bowls which is kind of odd. The service is
mostly good, but they have their share of college students who
really don't know what they're doing. Depends on who you get.
Usually crowded, long waits for table...but you can usually
wait in the bar (Adam's Apple), which has a fireplace that gets
roaring in the winter. Dress more than casual.

| Faccia Luna Pizzeria | State College, PA | |
|
Gourmet pizza baked in a wood stove. Great tasting, and you
can see them make your pizza. Also have other normal pizzeria
foods like strombolis and pastas, and a good selection of
drinks. Tables are a bit small once they bring out your pizza(s)
though.

| American Ale House & Grill | State College, PA | |
|
Food is pretty good, and there is a large patio area, or you
can eat inside. Very clean facilities. Drinks and food at the
bar seems to be overpriced. Two very nice pool tables as well,
and piano entertainment at night.

| Plumsteadville Inn | Plumsteadville, PA | |
|
We went there for their sunday buffet brunch. Wait was only
a few minutes, and we beat the rush of a crowd. The food was
nicely laid out, and had a lot of variety. The coffee was good
too. Nice place to bring Mom on her birthday or Mother's Day!

| The Olive Garden | Altoona, PA | |
|
Very good Italian representation. Food is excellent, and
service is fine. Primarily featuring Southern Italian foods,
as
opposed to the northern foods. Good portions too! Dress can
range from casual to dressy, depending on your occasion.

| Hibachi Japanese Steak House | Morgantown, WV | |
|
Fabulous time! Having the chefs cooking right in front of you
is great. They all seemed very skilled. The food was very tasty
but I did not try the sushi. Great for a group or couple.
Dress can range from casual to dressy-casual.

| Quakertown Family Restaurant | Quakertown, PA | |
|
Went there for brunch with a date on a saturday. My omelet was a
bit bland, but the portions were good sized. The staff was
very friendly, and it was obviously popular. We got seated right
away, though we were there a bit early.
The total bill for the two of us, including coffee and juice was
just under $10.

| Baby's Burgers & Shakes | State College, PA | |
|
The 50's Diner atmosphere is great! The food is usually really
good, and the shakes are real! However, not all the booth
jukeboxes work, and they never seem to be in a rush to fix them.
Great date place; the low budget but also the conversation
starters all over the place.

| Waffle Shop | State College, PA | |
|
One of my favorites. This is the place to be for Sunday Brunch.
It does get crowded on football weekends, and right after church
services get out, so plan accordingly. There are also 2 other
locations in state college, and 1 in nearby Bellefonte. The
coffee is terrific, and they give you plenty of food. Try an
omelet!

| Gamble Mill Tavern | Bellefonte, PA | |
|
Set in an old Mill, the atmosphere is very quaint, lots of wood
and beams. Also decorated with local artists' works, which are
for sale.
The food is great, very tasty and varied. The staff has always
been very informed about the menu and the individual items.
The stuffed grape leaves is always a favorite appetizer of mine.
Great place for a nice dinner date, casual dress is okay, but
I recommend dressing more casual-dressy. Afterwards, take
a
walk down to Talleyrand Park and feed the ducks or look at the
stars.

| Spats Cafe & Speakeasy | State College, PA | |
|
This is one of the best, if not THE best restaurant in State
College. Their speciality is cajun food, but they do have
other types as well. They do have a vast wine selection, and the
menu even includes suggested beverages for the entrees. They
even include regional beers from the New Orleans area. If you're
planning to go, definitley call for a reservation of you can get
one! They do get a bit pricey for small town, with drinks,
appetizers, entree, and maybe dessert, you can easily spend
$60-80 for a couple.
