My wife and I had dinner here one evening in July (2007). There are so many places in Ann Arbor, it was difficult for us to make a selection. It was so busy we figured it had to be a good choice - and it was! We decided to eat outside which was lovely. The food was good. The service was fine. The prices were fair. If I had to come up with a complaint, I guess it was that our table was rather "tippy" - a small thing in the overall scheme of things.

Traveling through town, I stopped here a about two weeks ago on a Friday evening. I almost did not go inside as there did not appear to be anyone else there. But just as I was about to get back into my vehicle, a couple of men approached the door and vouched for the place. I was certainly glad for that. Otherwise I would have missed an excellent meal. The service was efficient and friendly. The decor was very pleasant. The food was excellent. Overall a very pleasant experience. I was sorry that my wife was not traveling with me this time. Cost, including tax and tip: $19.

My wife and I were just traveling through this pleasant little town on a late Sunday morning earlier this month. We stopped and had their brunch buffet. Our opinion: first rate! pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, good food. Cost was reasonable ($26, including tax and tip.)

My wife and I were in town for the Great American Brass Band Festival which is a truly pleasant experience. We asked the desk clerk at our motel for a dinner recommendation and she suggested this place. We have eaten at a lot of Chinese buffets and this one ranks among the best. They have a very large selection and everything we tried was very good. They keep on top of things so as not to let the buffet line become messy. They also have a Mongolian grille available. The frog legs were excellent. The cost for the two of us was $25 including tax and tip.

My wife and I decided to stop here on the strength of the previous reviews of this place. We were glad we did - excellent pizza. If you want something other than pizza, you have to go somewhere else. They do one thing here and they do it very well. We shared a 12" pizza and each had a soft drink at a cost of $22 including tax and tip. We would not hesitate to stop here again should we find ourselves in Iowa City again.

My wife and I had a noon meal here the Sunday before Memorial Day. The food was good and plentiful. The lady that waited on us was efficient but not overly friendly. Cost for the two of us, including tax and tip: $40.

The place did not lack for patrons the Friday night before Memorial Day. The plus: the people were friendly. THe minus: it took a very long time to get our food. The food was just ok, at best. The worst: I believe that at one time, every table in the place, except for ours, at least one person was smoking - it was powerful. We probably will not return

My wife and I had dinner here last Saturday evening. Everything was good - the service, the food, the atmosphere and the cost. Not the best steak I have ever eaten but certainly good.

My wife and I ate here last Thursday evening. We had the Farouk Special. It was excellent. The only thing that would have made the pizza perfect is to have had a bit more sauce (and this is from a guy that does not favor a lot of sauce). The place has been around since the early 1950s. It appeared that the last serious remodelling was done probably in the 70s. We would not hesitate to eat here again regardless of the decor. The pizza ranked in the top 10% of the pizzas we have had in our nearly 39 years of marriage.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch here a month ago. The food was good and service was very fast - not unlike many other Mexican restaurants where we have eaten. Perhaps the only thing that sets this place apart from your typical Mexican eatery is that the decor was a bit better than what one usually finds in such places in middle America.

A colleague and I had dinner here last night. The place was recommended to us by another colleague. We were not disappointed. The place has a nice atmosphere - like stepping back in time. I enjoyed the salad bar and the somewhat novel approach to pricing it (27 cents per ounce). We each had a burger (different types) and were quite pleased. I will make it a point to come back with my wife so she can enjoy a meal here also.

I just read in the local newspaper that this place is closing.

My wife and I had lunch here while on a site-seeing vacation which included some of the Utah canyons. We make it a point to eat in locally-owned places when we travel; one can get a much better sense of the place you are visiting as compared to some chain restaurant that looks, smells and tastes just like all the others. We found the people friendly, the food was good, the prices reasonable and the whole experience fun.

My wife and I have eaten here twice during overnight stays in Hot Springs. Our impression of the place is quite a bit different from the other reviewers. We, of course, did not tour the kitchen; how many people do that in any restaurant? The dining area appeared to be clean to us. We found the staff friendly, the buffet certainly had a lot of things to choose from; the food was plentiful, nicely presented and tasted good. All this at a reasonable price...what's not to like?

My wife and I enjoyed lunch here last July while traveling to Durango for vacation. It was a pleasant day so we ate outside and watched people tubing the San Juan river a few feet from our table - a nice way to enjoy lunch. My wife had fish & chips. I had their gigantic BLT sandwich.

Sorry, but this place no longer exists. There is another restaurant at the same location called Michael Domani's. I have eaten there only once since it changed hands - pretty good.

They advertise "Burritos as big as your head". The food is not bad, the surroundings is not much. It is mostly a college eatery. I believe their late night business is pretty brisk due to its proximity to Eastern Illinois University.

A "strip-mall" Chinese buffet; which is not to denigrate it but merely to say that it is fine but nothing special. However, the quality and selections available are rather good. Their lunch time business appears to be brisk so you may have to stand in line for a little while if you get there right at noon.

Located outside of town in a renovated 100+ year old brick farmhouse, this restaurant is one most people would go to on special occasions, like a wedding anniversary. It is expensive and is open only the evenings of Thursday, Friday and Saturday. However, the food is excellent, the atmostphere is romantic; it is one of the nicest dining experiences one can have in central Illinois.

I ate dinner here last Thursday evening. When I first walked into the place, I thought it was just a bar. But there is a sizeable seating area for food service behind the bar. I enjoyed my meal - the food, the service and the atmosphere. Perhaps a bit noisy, but it has the feeling of a friendly neighborhood bar and grille. I would not hestitate to eat here again.
