Now L'escale.... see that review....5 stars , gfantastic food, but bring your pocketbook ... or 2...
Tucson Cafe Greenwich, CT
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Tucson close several years ago and another restaurant is in it's place? Again, I could be wrong...but I don't think so.
Arcuri's Pizza & Salads Greenwich, CT
I agree with the reviewer above; some of the best food around; open early for breakfast 'till late at night; you can dine in at casual tables, takeout, or have delivered; price is right and the food usually close to perfection...great pizzi, hippi rolls, calzones, burges, salads....the list goes on...
Panda Pavilion 3 Greenwich, CT
Good food; nice setting; good service....but really basic chinese food....nothing to really "knock your socks off"; never greasy, friendly, efficient service.
Los Remolinos Bar Restaurant Port Chester, NY
Not the "hottest" place inside....ok, but no real ambiance; Food, good....could be great if the chef was a more consistent; I've eaten here when the seafood platter was so good you could keep squeezing lime on it become totally engorged; at other times, it's either over or under cooked....your basic latino cuisine with tv's to watch primarily soccer matches....started out as a "higher end" restaurant just when Port Chester was going through a major "restaurant revival"; now just another place to get something quick to eat, have a drink, watch tv...
Mary Ann's Mexican Restaurant Port Chester, NY
I don't know why so many "locals" eat here; maybe because the food is relatively inexpensive, i suppose; or maybe because the owners are so nice you're treated like family....basic "Mexican Fare"; nothing more; nothing less
Pearl Port Chester, NY
I had always wanted to go here because i'd heard the food was excellent; true, the seafood is very fresh and you'll probably never be disappointed if that's all you're looking for; The thing that annoyed me the most was that I'd ordered a Virgin Mary, which was one of the best I'd ever had, but when i ordered a 2nd one, they were out of the "special mix" and no one knew how to make it; the bartender wasn't in yet; I offered to make my own and they declined; lunch for 2 including 1 person having a couple of glasses of wine was approximately $80.00 plus tip...
Port Chester Coach Diner Port Chester, NY
I have eaten here at least 30 times; breakfast-great; lunch-good; dinner-good....tons of choices (the menu is probably 8 pages long). True, there has been a time or 2 when the food wasn't up to snuff (overcooked steak, for example), but I've always felt comfortable the 1 or 2 times that I've had a concern, to send it back and been satisfied with the end result; usually super quick service; try the fresh seafood!!!
Raimondo's Coach Light Inn Port Chester, NY
I am almost positive this place is out of business...but when it was, it was nothing to write home about; a dump!!!
Sequoia Port Chester, NY
The chef(s) here is an absolute genius; Fabulous food; Kind of a nouveau spanish/southwestern influence; Nice sized portions; unusual flavor combinations; excellent service! All worth the price!!!
Tarry Lodge Restaurant Port Chester, NY
The main chef, the main bartender (Vicky), one of the managers, have been here for YEARS...it looks almost exactly the same as when i first started going there about 35 years ago; definately needs a major "facelift" inside....somewhat "dumpy" now. Pizza's are great: only 1 size in a personal pan with a darkened crust that's their speciality; some "newbies" confuse this for "burnt", but they're yummy; great burger: "the jumbo"; fresh steamers with clarified butter; Lobster night is every Wed.: make a reservation; pasta: try the "Simplicata"; A good place to go for a decent meal, but don't expect too much excitement.
Two Moons Port Chester, NY
This place has been out of business for years; Sequoia is there now...excellent!!!
Abis Japanese Traditional Greenwich, CT
With the utmost respect for the above mentioned reviewers, but have they ever eaten at more than 1 japanese restaurant before; This is a good place to eat, but don't come expecting it to be the best you've ever had; the fish is fresh and the hibachi tables are adequate; Just because it's Greenwich, don't assume it's "THE BEST", but a lot better then most; also, more expensive then most....always enjoy a good meal here.
Greenwich Colonial Diner Greenwich, CT
The above reviewer obviously hasn't been here in quite a while; The entire place was renovated, oh, probably about 2 years ago; Everything is fresh and clean; Still typical diner atmosphere, but good food and good service; plus, Judge Judy and other local celebs like to hang out here for a quick, good meal.
Planet Pizza Greenwich, CT
Typical Pizza joint; Pretty good pies; pastas, not bad; sandwiches, ok....a teenage hangout, especially on the weekends! Good place to catch a quick, inexpensive bite before/after the movies (theatre is a couple of doors down)
Manero's Retail Meat Market Greenwich, CT
If you're looking for an authentic butcher shop, this is it...from kobe beef to crown rib roasts, to filet mignons, to quail to venison, to caviar....the best!!! Also, you call the meat dept. if you want to order, for instance, their famous steak tidbit wedge with cheese and fresh made onion rings or tossed salad with gorgonzola cheese or garlic bread (be sure to eat this around holloween; will definately keep vampires away!)
L'escale Greenwich, CT
Think of the best of....well, anything, that you've ever eaten and l'escale will surely beat it!!! Seafood so fresh they probably just caught it outside their front door; meats so tender, you can cut them with a fork; a wine list that will please even the most discriminating tastes; service: out of this world. Great views of the Long Island Sound....Make reservations!!! You won't be disappointed, but do expect to pay the price....from soup to nuts, with drinks/wine, dinner for 2 could go to $200.00 or more...plus tip!!!
Country Squire Cos Cob, CT
Typical diner fare ; burgers, greek salads, pasta dishes, grilled cheese, eggs, omletes...the basics; friendly service.
Willet House Port Chester, NY
Great food, but incredibly overpriced; I mean, come on, about $60.00 for a 3 pound lobster; Heck, buy a live one next door at Ebb Tide $24.00 and eat it home; Meats are fantastic, but Manero's or Luca's Steak in Greenwich, Ct. are just as good; Sure, if you want to impress your friends, take them here, but expect to pay about $100.00 per person (including a glass of wine or 2).
Pellicci's Restaurant Stamford, CT
This is an old standby for many who have been here over the years; I think I first started coming here in 1976, but 5 star ratings??? Don't kid yourself; Great pizza; fab whole clam (white or red) sauce over your choice of pasta; the "francese" and marsala items, good....great for the family and not too expensive.
