| Mythos Restaurant At Islands of Adventure | Orlando, FL | |
|
A great atmosphere and good selection make this the gem of Islands
of Adventure. If you are looking for an oasis from the crowds and
bustle, and don't mind paying a bit for it, try Mythos. My
favorite is the Lobster Bisque. This and Confisco's are
the exception for the Universal owned restuarants (the others
are poor in quality in addition to being overpriced).

| Chillers | Orlando, FL | |
|
No food here, just a huge assortment of frozen alcoholic concoctions.
Most are pretty good. The place can get pretty crowded on the weekends
and on Wednesday (due to nickle beer night upstairs at big belly).
This is one of the carryovers from the old Church Street days (when
Church Street Station and Sloppy Joe's were in their heyday).

| Brown Derby At Disney's Mgm Studios Park | Orlando, FL | |
|
Top drawer Disney service (and for the price it better be). Not
so sure it fits in at MGM (except for its theme) due to the amazingly
high prices (even for Disney). The food was pretty good (once
you get past choking on the price) and what you would expect from
an upscale establishment like this. The turtle cheesecake is
to die for (but if that's all you want, try the nearby bakery)

| Sci Fi Dine-In At Disney's Mgm Studios Park | Orlando, FL | |
|
I LOVED this place! If you are going to pay theme park prices for
food, you might as well enjoy it. And here you will. Set in a 50's
style drive in atmosphere, you dine in "parked cars"
while watching a giant screen of B movie trailers. FUN!

| Motown Cafe At Citywalk | Orlando, FL | |
|
I was pleasanly surprised here. The service was great and the
steak came out perfect and timely. There are better steak houses
in Orlando, but if you are at the theme parks or City Walk this is
a safe bet.

| Pirates Dinner Adventure | Orlando, FL | |
|
A fun and imaginative show with good food. Its come a LOOOONG way
from its hookey beginnings! This one adventure thats suitable
for the entire family (if you want the dinner show expereience
take the kids here).

||
| Wendys | Orlando, FL | |
|
As far as Wendy's go, I have to agree, the staff just doesn't
care. The food is usually pretty good (but I usually get the Mandarin
Chicken Salad-one of my favorites). Try a different location
if you are stuck on Wendy's.

| Cityjazz At Citywalk | Orlando, FL | |
|
One of the worst excuses for food at Universal. The service was
mediocre and the food terrible. The chicken was undercooked
(pink!) and sent back. What I got back should have had "Goodyear"
stamped on it (guessing they just nuked it a bit). . .stick to Mowotwon
or Emerils if you MUST dine at CityWalk (or eat a Confisco's
before leaving Islands of Adventure). For a jazz club its okay
(Pleasure Island is usually better).

||
| Altantic Dance At Disney Broadwalk | Orlando, FL | |
|
Love the big city feel here. I miss the days when Big Band was in
and Swingerhead used to play here. Still a lot of fun (and on a less
travelled path that Pleasure Island for Disney entertainment)

||
| Sapphire Supper Club | Orlando, FL | |
|
In its heyday Sapphire was a lot of fun and is sorely missed. Now
its the Social, great fun if you are into the Punk scene. This used
be Valentine's (if you look up at the skylite you can still
see the stained glass "V")

| Old Munich Restaurant | Orlando, FL | |
|
A bit off the beaten path, but worth the drive. Excellent representation
of German cuisine. The service is pretty good too.
|
||
| Rose & Crown Pub & Dining At Disney's ... | Orlando, FL | |
|
Not bad if you want fish and chips at theme park prices. However
if you are driking your way around the world, this is a MUST stop!
|
||
| Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki At Disney's Epcot Theme ... | Orlando, FL | |
|
Very much like a Bennihana with all of the top drawer service you
would come to expect at a full service eatery at Disney. If you
don't have a big party expect to be seated with someone you
don't know.
|
||
| L'originale Alfredo At Disney's Epcot Theme P ... | Orlando, FL | |
|
Not bad for italian food, but could be better for the price. As
always the Disney service was excellent. However, you'd
do better going to Olive Garden after the park closes.
|
||
| Pat O'brien's At Citywalk | Orlando, FL | |
|
The piano bar here is fun, but not as racey as Howl at the Moon was
(in fact some of the howl at the moon former performers tickle
the keys here). Drink prices are a bit stiff however.
|
||
| Pastamore Express At Citywalk | Orlando, FL | |
|
Another example of how Universal cannot seem to get it right about
a restuarant. The food is somewhat overpriced and very bland.
If you MUST dine at Citywalk try Mowtown Cafe.
|
||
| Bob Marley's Express At Citywalk | Orlando, FL | |
|
A lot of fun, but can get crowded especially on the weekends. The
drink prices are kind of stiff, but are well poured. A MUST for
lovers of Regge
|
||
| Starbucks At Citywalk | Orlando, FL | |
|
Your typical cookie cutter Starbuck's here. A bit crowded
if you want to grab a seat and all of the priceyness we've come
to expect from Starbuck's. . .try Cinnabun if you have a sweet
tooth.
|
||
| Confisco Grille At Islands of Adventure | Orlando, FL | |
|
Here is another example of the rare "getting it right"
of restauranting on Universal's part. I personally enoyed
the Pad Thai, but there is something to please everyone here.
Expect theme park prices and hit or miss service.

||
| Too Jay's Original Deli | Stuart, FL | |
|
Great Kosher food herer combined with a fantastic bakery, this
is an excellent lunch eatery. Try the turkey and chopped chicken
liver sandwich. A little pricey but there are pretty good service.
