Sushi Kim Pittsburgh, PA
Pretty good sushi...Fish is always fresh...Not as good as Little Tokyo in Mt Lebanon, which I think is the best in Pgh... Bonus of Korean food as a change of pace
Mallorca Restaurant Pittsburgh, PA
Great....One of the best values in Pittsburgh...Usually very crowded so be prepared to wait, but it's worth it...Excellent Spanish favorites like paella, mariscada, garlic shrimp...The filet mignon is outstanding...Double veal chops...Twin lobsters...Appitizers are also excellent..try the stuffed calimari.. Wine list a little pricey, but there's always sangria.
Davio Pittsburgh, PA
Generally pretty good...Specials can be really expensive ($40-45) so ask before you order...Food is better than both service and atmosphere which can be poor..BYOB is a plus...I think it's lost a little over time.
Hyeholde Restaurant Coraopolis, PA
One of the most overrated restaurants in Pittsburgh. The food is good, not great and way overpriced. Appitizers were $10-15 and entrees were generally over $25 and portions are small...Wine prices are 4 times retail...YIKES...The atmosphere is very nice, but be prepared to spend well north of $150 for dinner for two with a low priced bottle of wine. If someone else is paying, try it..If you will be, think twice.
Little Tokyo Pittsburgh, PA
By far, the best sushi in Pittsburgh. Perfectly fresh fish. Good service. Frank, the owner, is a gracious host. On a busy night there are 4 sushi chefs working away behind the sushi bar. They also do a good job with other traditional Japanese dishes. Fine wine list, sake, beer and mixed drinks. Amazing, but they also do a large sushi take-out business!
Palomino Pittsburgh, PA
Food pretty good...Service can be absolutely terrible...It's just not worth the aggravation
Casbah Pittsburgh, PA
Very good, with some truly unique flavors...Last time I had a lamb tagine that was fantastic..Pretty atmosphere..A little pricy, but worth it
Colony Pittsburgh, PA
Expensive, but food was good. Atmosphere is for an older crowd although not a bad as the prior "geriatric" clientele.
Kazansky's Delicatessen Pittsburgh, PA
Only "real" Jewish style deli in Pittsburgh. Not bad, but a far cry from the real thing.
Pasquarelli's Pittsburgh, PA
Ok Italian Food...If you don't want to drive, it will do, but there are better ones out there.
Piper's Pub Pittsburgh, PA
Excellent fish and Chips and Shepherds Pie...Great selection of English beers...Premier League on the TV's...As close to an English Pub as you'll find in Pittsburgh.
Morimoto Philadelphia, PA
Amazing....Sit at the sushi bar and chat with Morimoto (he is kind of quiet, but friendly)...Get one of his special dinners, aaprox $100, and go to heaven....fantastic
Francisco's New York, NY
Francisco's Centro Vasco, the place to go for jumbo lobsters at a great price....Try to tackle an 8 pounder...wow....
Corky & Lenny's Village Square Beachwood, OH
Great deli....corned beef pastrami, nova, belly lox, sable, baked (kippered) salmon, whitefish....OYE....fantastic
The French Laundry Yountville, CA
Really good, but is it the temple of food everyone claims....I don't know...At $425 for two it should be....The menu degustacion is the way to go....Many different tastes and flavors....I've had other great meals at less than half the price....But I did really enjoy it.
Fleur De Lys San Francisco, CA
Wonderful, truly "French" dining experience. Beautiful decor. Great service. Excellent wine list. The food was sublime. I would go back any time.
Roland's Seafood Grill Pittsburgh, PA
Good lobster roll and fried fish sandwich....Also have a raw bar. Good when you're in the strip, but would not make a trip just to eat here
Yovi's Chicago Style Hot Dogs Pittsburgh, PA
Great dogs....the place downtown for a dog...fries are good too. The guy that owns it is real nice and friendly.
