| Firehouse | Harrisburg, PA | |
|
Firehouse was on my list of want to's. Finally was able to check
it off. I had family in from CA, fresh off the plane. The food was very
good. I had the Tuna w/ Wasabi paste. I ask for MedRare and that was just
how I got it. The building is very nice. All around I plan on going again.
Honestly, the best part was my cousin had here two daughters with her.
Both very young. The waitress were very nice to the kids. Played peak
with them and did not make them feel out of place. It is not a typical kids
style place, but there actions were a comfort to my family. I would recommend the Firehouse

| Rachael's Cafe | Lancaster, PA | |
|
We had family in town this weekend and made a stop to Rachael's after
a stop at Central Market and a walk around town. This was out second visit
and it was as enjoyable as the first. My parents very muck enjoyed to
atmosphere as well as the food. A definite place that will have many
more visits!

| Rachael's Cafe | Lancaster, PA | |
|
A small local joint run by Rachael and her father. Rachael feel in love
with the creation of crêpes and wanted to bring them, in quality, the
Lancaster. She pulled it off. We appointed, decorated by Rachael.
She give you the feel that she cares about each plated made. I would recommend
this location for lunch or a lite dinner. She serves a large portion
with quality in each bite. We really enjoyed our first or many visits.

| Carrabba's Italian Grill | Lancaster, PA | |
|
This Italian chain is big in the South. Due to the number of Snowbirds
in the area they picked Lancaster for a new up North location. The location
was packed, which is typical for any Lancaster restaurant. The wait
time for early Friday evening was 45 minutes. The waiting area really
needs to be larger to accommodate the people. You can sit outside as
long as the weather is good.
The service was fine. Quick and attentive, but nothing above the average.
The food was average. Nothing to write home about. Prices are a bit high
Vs the quality. This is the third Italian chain in the area and I would
rank it third. Macaroni Grill, first and Olive Garden second. Since
we have many options in the area I doubt if we will be in a rush to return.

| Country Fare Restaurant | Myerstown, PA | |
|
Classic Dutch comfort food. Very clean, good wait staff, excellent
dessert and well priced.

| Gilligan's Bar & Grill | Harrisburg, PA | |
|
I have eaten at the location on the Ike a number of times on business.
However, the family and I stopped here for a meal. Nice separation between
the smoking-bar and non-smoking section. Quick service; granted
it was an early supper, clean and attentive. I had the veal witch was
very good. Only down fall is the prices are a bit high. Typical dinner
is $15.00-$24.00 each so a family of four can add up. I would eat there
again, but the price Vs. quality would probably make me consider other
options.

| El Rodeo | Lancaster, PA | |
|
Another successful meal at El Rodeo. Got there before the big rush and
enjoyed every bit. Have not had a bad meal yet!

| Prudhommes' Lost Cajun Kitchen | Columbia, PA | |
|
My wife is not a fan of fish, Cajun or much that is considered "out
of the ordinary", but I finally was able to coax her into going.
She was rewarded with a meal that she said was worth coming back for.
Saturday night at Prudhommes' should become some sort of a holiday.
The place was packed, but still only had to wait 15 minutes. I would wait
all night if I had to. When the owners greet you at the door with a warm
welcome and a smile you know you are in Cajun Country! Our meal contained,
catfish, Red Beans and Rice, shrimp, crawfish, claims and gator. There
is only one word I can use to describe the meal, PERFECT! Run or speed
(it's worth the ticket) to Prudhomme's-NOW!

| Mount Joy Family Restaurant | Mount Joy, PA | |
|
We checked off another "really should try that place, place".
Typically a very busy location. We ate late so did not have the wait.
The menu is fantastic. It would take 20 minutes to read the whole thing.
I had the prime rib. It was good, not great, but good. Wife had a burger
that was very good. Since it is Oyster season I tried there homemade
Oyster stew. I literally used the words, just like my mom makes. I even
told her that when I talked to here. I would recommend for dinner. If
you are looking for a place to stop for dessert this is also a very good
choice. Many, many choices of homemade cakes & pies. We shall return!

| Family Cupboard | Lititz, PA | |
|
2 Visits in three weeks. Good meal, good service and good price both
times. A good place to take visitors looking for the "Lancaster"
food they keep hearing about.

| Family Cupboard | Lititz, PA | |

We made our first visit of many yesterday. Nice clean location, good
service and wonderful food. If you go away hungry, it's your own
fault.

| El Serrano | Lancaster, PA | |
|
This is one of those restaurants that has been on my list to try for some
time know. My wife & I decided New Year's Eve was a good time
to give it its first go. Hands down this is a wonderful restaurant! They
do not accept reservation unless for a large group, so I was prepared
for the typical long wait. Wrong! We were seated at a wonderful table
in under three minutes. The decor is a fantastic combination of understated
detail. The colors and decor are of the Mexican/Peruvian style of the
highest quality. The service was impeccable. Our server knows the
menu and able to answer questions. Drinks were always refilled-just
in time. The main course was a natural blend of flavors with seasonings
adding to the flavor without overpowering, This is a fine dinning experience
that I would be proud to take friends and family to. The food shows they
care. Well done.

| Lone Star Steakhouse | Lancaster, OH | |
|
We consider it-The other steak house. If Texas Road House is not possible
we may accept the Lone Star. I like the Cajun Prime. However, the prices
are higher, but the overall meal quality is lower. Service is always
acceptable. In general, cost/quality is just not what is could be.
|
||
| Texas Roadhouse | Lancaster, PA | |
|
Still, consistently the best steak house in Lancaster. We continue
to visit this location and have yet to find a fault in quality or service.
I know I am not alone in this by the size of the waiting line regardless
of the day of the week. Keep-up keeping up folks!

| Red Lobster | Lancaster, PA | |
|
About once a month I get a night out just with one of my girls. Our youngest
loves crab legs so off to Red Lobster we go. This location is consistently
good. Our food was good, the location is clean, relative to the amount
of patrons they put through. Our server was very nice and I was sure to
let the manager know, by name, of her fine job. You can feel safe planning
a visit to this location. Hint, use the call ahead service to save much
of the time waiting in line.

| Seattle's Best Coffee | Lancaster, PA | |
|
Always busy, always fresh and fast. Even over the Christmas blitz they
keep just keep going. The Everready bunny of coffee shops.
|
||
| Fiorentinos | Lancaster, PA | |
|
A growing local eatery with a good reputation. Service was warm and
friendly. The wife's food was very good. My tuna in balsamic was
over cooked and a bit to heavy on the vinegar. Will consider it for another
try at some point down the road.

| Clyde's Cafe | Lancaster, PA | |
|
Great place to stop for coffee on the way home or a sandwich after shopping.
This is part of S. Clyde Weavers market.
|
||
| Kreider Farms Family Restaurant | Manheim, PA | |
|
Consistently the best all around local eatery in Manheim.
|
||
| Dutch Kountry Kitchen | Manheim, PA | |
|
Small local spot with high quality local food and a friendly wait staff.
