| Ram Big Horn Restaurant & Brewery | Lakewood, WA | |
|
We went to the Lakewood Ram with a fairly large group. We went in the bar
to avoid the long wait time in the dining area. We sat at the only available
table large enough for our group and waited for service. After waiting
quite a while, one of my friends went and grabbed a bleach rag to clean
off the dirty table. We continued to wait. After about half an hour of
zero service, we left. The staff was intentionally avoiding our large
group. We were not rowdy or difficult, but it was clear that a party of
our size was not welcomed by the staff! I've been to other Ram restaurants
and had amazing food, but I will NEVER return to the Lakewood Ram.

| Jambalaya | Tacoma, WA | |
|
Amazing food! Not much has changed with the new owners and name change.
They have added some menu options, but otherwise they have kept the
traditional Cajun food From the Bayou was always famous for. My favorite
is the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. They still give you muffins before
your meal too. This is my very favorite restaurant! The themed decor
is really nifty as well.

| The Wagon Wheel | Tacoma, WA | |

Great food and good coffee. Last I checked they still had a student discount
with ID. Denney's style menu. Nifty themed decor.

| Red Robin | Tacoma, WA | |
|
Its a good Red Robin. I always drink coffee with cream when I go to restaurants.
The bartender would always have coffee and cream ready for me before
I even asked. Great staff. Burgers are overpriced and Red Robin no longer
does half price appetizers for happy hour, but the food is pretty good.

| Frugals | Tacoma, WA | |
|
Great food at discount prices! The only problem is location. Its in
the Parkland neighborhood in the same parking lot as a strip club at
the corner of a busy intersection. Its a good place to go when traffic
is light and the strip club is closed.

| Marzano | Tacoma, WA | |

Not cheap, but very tasty food. The espresso is good too. Great place
to go if you have extra money to spend. Comfortable and private, yet
always busy.

| Little Park Restaurant | Spanaway, WA | |
|
Its kinda like if your grandma opened up a tasty restaurant in the middle
of the hood. The area is sketchy, but the food is good ol' home cooking.
A nice place to stop with your family. Denney's style menu with
higher quality ingredients.

| Dugan's Pizza | Ocean Shores, WA | |
|
Pizza was good. The restaurant itself doesn't look too nice, but
the food is all that really matters. They do have video games, pinball,
and a nifty aquarium to check out while you're waiting. Its a good
to place for to go orders. Just bring the pizza back to your hotel.

| Galway Bay Irish Restaurant & Pub | Ocean Shores, WA | |
|
The soda bread is tasty as was my steak...marinated in Bailey's
Irish Cream! Crazy, but good. When I saw it on the menu I had to give it
a try. The meat was high quality and we enjoyed our meals. We liked it
so much we came back later that night for the live Irish music. Cool place.

| Big Bubba's Burgers | Allyn, WA | |

Great milkshakes! Their food is excellent, similar to the tasty treats
you find at the Puyallup Fair. Good stuff!

| The Baren Haus Restaurant | Leavenworth, WA | |
|
I was very impressed with their selection, prices, and tasty food.
We had really been burned by the prices down the street at Gustav's
and were looking for something more affordable (Gustav's has
inflated their prices since my last visit...pennies short of $10 for
a burger that didn't come with fries!).
Anyway, the Baron Haus had everything from pizza to hamburgers to pasta.
We decided to share a pepperoni and salami pizza. All of the ingredients
were high quality. The food was yummy and our grand total came to half
of what we paid for our meal at Gustav's. Service was impressive,
their was always someone around to refill my coffee. Skip Gustav's
and walk down to the Baron Haus for a high quality affordable meal.

| Gustav's | Leavenworth, WA | |
|
Their prices have climbed! Wow! My burger was almost $10 and didn't
even come with fries! The food was excellent, but not worth the now inflated
prices! We decided to share a side order of french fries for almost $4.
They were freshly cut and quite tasty, but they should have been included
with our meals.
If you go to their website, the prices on the online menu are NOT up-to-date.
My burger was $2 more than what is listed on the website. The service
was good and the atmosphere is pretty nifty, but I was amazed at how much
the prices have gone up since the last time I visited. It just seemed
like they were trying to take advantage of the tourists and jack up the
prices.
The next day we went to the Baren Haus out of convenience. I hadn't
been there before, but it was far more reasonable and the food was excellent.
They had everything from burgers to pasta to pizza. Skip Gustav's
and walk down the street for a more affordable experience. Oh...and
the fries were included with the burgers there. :)

| From the Bayou | Spanaway, WA | |
|
From the Bayou has been sold to new owners and has been re-named Jambalaya.
We went a few days ago and the food tasted as good as it has always been.
I had the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. I couldn't tell any difference
between the gumbo before the restaurant was sold from after it was sold.
They still give you the free muffins with every meal too. The menus look
a little different, but otherwise not much else has changed. The old
owner apparently didn't have the phone number switched over to
the new owners. As a result, folks do not seem to realize it is still in
business! They have a website under construction at http://visitjambalaya.com/
I'm just hoping the number change/name change will not run this
amazing restaurant out of business!
