| Nisleit's Country Inn | Port Washington, WI | |
|
After a complete restaurant remodel the interior dining room
is smoke-free, service is excellent and the food remains the
best in town.

| Pasta Shoppe | Port Washington, WI | |
|
Recent visits to this restaurant have shown great improvement
in service and the food is excellent. The pizza is also a really
nice pleasant surprise. Best garlic bread this side of Mama Mia's
of Milwaukee.

| Leonardo's Pizza Parlor | Thiensville, WI | |
|
Recent visits have proven this pizza parlor to be the most consistent
with the best sauce and freshest ingredients. My only complaint
is that I wish they were open later during the week.

| Newport Shores | Port Washington, WI | |
|
Recent visit was fantastic. Service was top-notch even though
the place was packed. The food is always superb with fish fry every
day and a great selection of fish to choose from. I can't believe
this place isn't on a top 25 list somewhere.

| Beanies | Port Washington, WI | |
|
Great expansion and remodel have made Beanie's a destination
choice. One of the most consistent and best Mexican restaurants
north of Milwaukee. Highly recommended.
|
||
| Harry's Restaurant | Port Washington, WI | |
|
Great value. Be careful when you frequent however. Sometimes
the part-time high schoolers working the grill don't have
the same experience in cooking as the day shift. Overall though
it is a part of history and a must visit when coming to Port Washington.

||
| Beanies | Port Washington, WI | |
|
In an area where decent Mexican restaurants are few and far between,
Beanies provides quality authentic mexican at reasonable prices.
Seating can be crowded in the small dining area, however the walk
to the lakefront after dinner makes the trip to Port Washington
worthwhile.

| Harry's Restaurant | Port Washington, WI | |
|
Port Washington's classic greasy spoon offers surprisingly
quick and consistent service and a nice smoke-free atmosphere.
I highly recommend the chicken breast sandwhich and the coffee
cake for desert.
|
||
| Newport Shores | Port Washington, WI | |
|
Probably one of the best fish fry dinners in the area. The only
drawback is the large bar area and poor ventilation (lots of smokers).
Nevertheless, if you come to Port Washington, you've got to go
to Newport Shores.

||
| Nisleit's Country Inn | Port Washington, WI | |
|
The owners of this restaurant are wonderful people and do everything
they can to befriend you. Great food and consistency is the main
word at Nisleit's. Smokey dining room, however, which makes
it next to impossible for a non-smoker to enjoy. Perhaps one of
the smokiest restaurants I've ever been to, but the food is first
class.

| Pasta Shoppe | Port Washington, WI | |
|
Although this place has a great atmosphere and a nice dining area,
the food is merely average. The menu lacks the type of pasta variety
and authenticity you would expect from the name of the restaurant.
Olive Garden gives you better choice. However, it's probably
the best place in Port Washington, and the food is consistently
hot. Service could be better..waitresses tended to have a chip
on their shoulder.
|
||
| Port Hotel Restaurant | Port Washington, WI | |
|
Once perhaps regarded as the preminent restaurant in town, the
Port Hotel has slipped some the past few years. The menu needs
updating and the waitresses seemed stressed. Nice atmosphere
and pleasant seating. Food is average for the money. The restaurant
has great potential, but they need to come out of the 70s.
|
||
| Wilson House | Port Washington, WI | |
|
The Wilson house has been a pleasant surprise both times I've
had the chance to visit. The atmosphere is elegant, the service
is incredible, and the food is on par with some of Milwaukee's
finest gourmet restaurants. If the secret ever gets out this
place will be a destination from all over the SE Wisconsin area.
The grilled fish is particularly good with the garlic mashed
potatoes. Highly recommended.
|
||
| Boder's On the River | Thiensville, WI | |
|
Boder's has great food and nice location along the Milwaukee
River in Mequon. They need to update the decor, however. I felt
like it was 1977. A little expensive, but it seems they've tried
to bring the menu up to date which made the experience very nice.

||
| Chuck's Place-Family Rstrnt | Thiensville, WI | |
|
A great family restaurant with the best variety around. Much
better than the larger greek family restaurants. The manager
is always around and very accomodating. The rotisserie chicken
is great and the pizza is perhaps the best in the area. Can be crowded
in the dining room and a bit smokey.
|
||
| Leonardo's Pizza Parlor | Thiensville, WI | |
|
This place claims to have New York style pizza. Nice try. I've
been to New York, to the corner pizza places in Manhattan and Queens.
I've had New York pizza. Leonardo's doesn't come close. However,
this is Wisconsin. Thus, says this reviewer, if you want decent
pizza, skip Pizza Hut and go here. It's better than most places...but
PLEASE don't call this New York!
|
||
| Alpine Village | Thiensville, WI | |
|
This is always one of my favorite places to come. Where else can
you see authentic european decor with live music and a live stream
with fresh fish swimming around? The atmosphere is great here.
Good fish fries, however the rest of the menu needs help.
|
||
| Chocolate Factory Parlor | Cedarburg, WI | |
|
Ok, let's face it.... we're not here for great service or shiney
clean floors. This is history. How can you not enjoy the traditional
ice cream cooler, the 50s music in the background and perhaps
the best subs in Wisconsin? So, we look past the negatives and
enjoy the experience...and the food.
|
||
| Jalisco's | Cedarburg, WI | |
|
I couldn't put my finger on it until recently. This restaurant
is a nice place. It's clean, quick and consistent. However, something
was missing. I wasn't sure. The food is good. Nice variety. However,
I think I now know. The food is bland. Perhaps more spice and it
will be there.
