Comments: I went here today for lunch with friends. The place is definitely cafe-like on the inside but it is (as Greig said) clean and comfortable and the servers are polite and prompt. I had the lunch combo (ONLY $5.95!!!) which consists of two items. I chose sweet and sour pork and prawns with lobster sauce. First, they give you a generous bowl of hot and sour soup, which was good, and a mini-Chinese sesame salad and then we received our entrees and I had ordered the vegetable fried rice with mine. The rice was quite good, the sweet and sour pork was pretty good, and the prawns were very good. I recommend China Cafe for inexpensive, good-tasting Chinese food in a nice atmosphere with decent service. |

Comments: I went here today for lunch with a co-worker. We received (unsually) good service here today (prompt and polite). The chips and salsa were very good, as always. I had the Enchiladas Chitople, consisting of two chicken enchiladas with a white cream sauce (sweet-tasting), onions, and cheese, and also spanish rice and black beans with melted cheese. As usual, it was VERY good and satisfying (and only $9.99). I recommend Pedro's for good Mexican food in a nice atmosphere at a good price. |

Comments: I went here today with family. Today, we had one of the steller servers (who are both friendly and attentive) and so that was appreciated. The food today was also quite good. I chose the Shrimp Shrimp Shrimp ($8.99), which consisted of a mound of their popcorn shrimp, five small skewered shrimp, and three jumbo stuffed shrimp (with monterey jack cheese) and also a generous portion of wild rice and their good-tasting bread/toast and so the price/portions were great and the food tasted very good. I recommend Sizzler (if you choose your food carefully and get the good servers) for good food at good prices. |

Comments: I went here the other night with a friend and we sat at the sushi bar and had our usual sushi bar guy. We received good service the entire time. I had three items: Shrimp, Crab, and the Crab/Avocado rolls (also a bowl of rice) and all were VERY good and my friend had four items and he said his were all very good also. We were both satisfied with the food and VERY pleased with the price of $25 after tip for both of us! I highly recommend Kobe for excellent sushi at great prices. |

Comments: This 4-star rating is ONLY for the pizza (everything is usually 3 stars). I went here with a friend last night. We received decent service most of the night. I had the caesar salad ($4.95), which was pretty good, as was the bread. We ordered a large (16") half Hawaiian Delight/half Stromboli ($18ish). It was MUCH bigger than we expected and we only ate four slices out of the ten on this very large pizza. The hawaiian part (Pineapple, ham, mushrooms, and green bell peppers)was pretty good but the Stromboli (Mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni, and salami) was EXCELLENT, the highlight of which was the flavor-packed, crispy pepperoni. I agree with Dave, that it seems they must drain off much of the oils from the meats/cheeses (since there was very little oil, to my pleasure). Then we both had the 'Mo Cioccolata dessert ($3.95). It's a chocolate mousse-ish cake with chocolate syrup and oreo crust. It was VERY good. I highly recommend FJaL2 for excellent pizza at reasonable prices (just don't get a large for only two people). |

Comments: We went here last night for dinner. We received VERY GOOD service this time (the server brought everything promptly, refilled drinks/chips before we could ask, and was also polite and courteous). The chips were pretty good, but nothing exceptional. I had the Vera Cruz Chicken ($9.99), which consisted of a chicken breast, wild spicy rice and cucumbers/zucchini with corn and spices. It was quite good, though the chicken seemed slightly undercooked. I recommend Spoons for good, inexpensive food in a fun atmosphere. |

| Mountain Mike's Pizza | Mountain View, CA | |
|
A co-worker wanted to split a pizza again today. We ordered a large
Diamond Head (Pineapple and Ham...we substitued Canadian Bacon)
and with a coupon from the Santa Clara store's online website
(which this store happily honored), we only paid $14.99 for a
good above average pizza.

| Togo's | Sunnyvale, CA | |
|
I had the #14 Hummus (around $5). Hummus is a mixture of "garbanzo
beans and spices" that is VERY good. It's kind of spicy, very flavorful,
and of a very thick texture. I recommend Togo's for good quality
sandwiches at near fast-food prices.

Comments: I went here today for lunch with a friend. We received good service this time (prompt refills of our drinks, etc.). We had the chips as an appetizer (They were better tasting than usual...more crispy and flavorful). I had the Fajita Chicken Quesadillas ($7.99). They were pretty good with jack cheese and fresh pico de gallo. Overall, I recommend Chili's for inexpensive, good tasting food in a relaxed atmosphere. |

Comments: I went here with a friend last night for dinner. We were told about a twenty-five minute wait but then were paged after five minutes (excellent). Our service was pretty good tonight, though a little sketchy at some points. First, we had an appetizer sampler platter consisting of: Stuffed mushrooms, fried calimari, and fried mozerella. All three were very good and took the edge off of our hunger. Then, we received the salad and breadsticks. Both were, as usual, good (though I always find it amusing that the "OLIVE Garden" has only a couple olives in their salad). Then we received our entree. My friend had the stuffed chicken, which he said was very good. I had the swordfish piccata. The swordfish was cooked well and seasoned well. The vegetables (Green and yellow zuchini, red and green bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms) were all very fresh and cooked perfectly. Then, we both had dessert. I had the strawberry limone, which, I think, is one of the best desserts. It's basically a piece of lemon cake, interspersed with custard, whipped cream, and strawberry and it was VERY good. I recommend Olive Garden for good Americanized Italian food at a reasonable price. |

| Togo's | Sunnyvale, CA | |

Today, I went here with family and got a #8 (Turkey, roast beef
and swiss) on rye bread and it was good as usual. I recommend the
rye (or wheat) bread highly over the normal white, which is somewhat
bland and not very interesting.

Comments: I went here today for lunch with a friend. Our experience was much better than last time. We had consistent, prompt service and the food was much better. We ordered chinese chicken salad to start off, combination fried rice ($6.95), candied prawns with pecans ($13.95), and sweet and sour pork ($9.95) and all was very good this time. I recommend Chef Chu's for decent Americanized Chinese food. |

Comments: I went here today with a friend for lunch. The atmosphere is similar to Sahari (Egyptian in Sunnyvale) but with an Ethiopian flair and more comfortable booths. The service is somewhat sketchy (like drink refills and such) but the servers are nice and polite. We had two combination platters (one that was meat and one that was vegetable). They give you fermented bread that you use (no silverware) to wrap up different items from the platters. It was all very good and of interesting taste ranging from no spice to mildly spiced to quite spicy. It's a great value (Around $10 a platter). I recommend Shebele for good Ethiopian food at a great value. |

Today, we picked up our sandwiches. I had a #14 (Hummus), which
was VERY good as a vegetarian option (I was in that sort of mood).
I recommend Togo's for good sandwiches at a good price.

Comments: I went here tonight with friends. Because of daylight savings time, it was bright outside and the light was shining in, which, though not their fault, does degrade the romantic atmosphere of a dark night. Our service was quite good today. We had sweet and sour pork, combination chow mein, and honey pecan prawns (all $10 range). In order of excellence: Chow mein, sweet and sour pork, prawns...chow mein is chow mein regardless of where you go (Though this was good chow mein); the sweet and sour pork was in a brown sauce (as opposed to the usual red sauce) and was very good; the prawns were, as with last time, exceptional. Also, I had the HoneyDew Melon Mousse for dessert which was presented well, fresh, and very good tasting (it was served cold in an almost gelatinous form with a dullop of whipped cream on top and a strawberry syrup on the side of the plate for topping). I continue to highly recommend Mei Long for top-quality Chinese food in a nice atmosphere with good service and reasonable prices. |

Comments: I went here with friends for lunch. Though everything is pretty average, the food is a good deal. I had #27 Fried Rice ($5) with Tao Pearls ($2). The fried rice was clumpy (as is good...no one wants Uncle Ben's) and the vegetables were fresh-tasting. The Tao was EXCELLENT (very sweet) and the pearls were very good. I recommend New Tung Kee as a good, Vietnamese noodle house at a great price. |

Comments: Again, my extended family wanted to go here today (for some reason, this is one of their favorite places). Today we received good service (the service has only been good when the server is Michelle...whom we had today; at times when we've had other servers, the service has been par or sub-par). I had the Fried Shrimp ($14.99) with a side caesar. The caesar was typical but good. The fried shrimp were crunchy (fried part) and fresh-tasting (fish part) and the fries were also good. Overall, we had a good experience today (versus last time, which was not good). |

| Baskin Robbins | Santa Clara, CA | |

I went here with a friend after sushi yesterday. I had a scoop of
chocolate chip cookie dough. It is VERY good, flavorful, and
thick ice cream. I recommend Baskin Robbins for good ice cream
at a reasonable price.
