service:3. Waiters seems to be UCI students, polite enough but also lack of experience. They seemed to be familiar on the menu, but they definitely need inprovement on English skills. Fortunately I speak Mandarin so it's not a problem to me :)
================================================================ food:4. Seems to be Taiwanese style cooking. Tastes good for Asian. I don't know if it's ok to American people, but it's really good for Asain standard. Also their tapioca ball drink is awsome, either hot or cold. The problem of the iced one is that they put too much ice in it so it tastes bad at the end.
================================================================ price:4. "quality over price" is good.

================================================================ setting:3. the center seats along the aisle are bad, and lack of privacy. Room seems to be too dark
Chinatown Restaurant Irvine, CA
Price is well-fitted into the university student audience. Lunch is combo-based, steamed rice+entree+eggroll. Eggroll needs improvement as the filling is not seasoned well, plus it should be drained out the exceed oil. Other than that, it's an OK place to go. I suggest "Far-East Fish".
Koto Newport Beach, CA
Koto's quality no doubt is really good. The dark red meat of Tuna tells the difference. Real sushi chef from Japan prepares food, not like regular sushi bars hiring college interns to do your suchi.
Price is pretty high too. I spent about 60 dollars for 2 people lunch and still not full 'cause i only ordered sushi. I suggest order combination plates with some side order sushi.
Try their rainbow rolls.
