| Big Papa's Palace | East Moline, IL | |

This is a nice casual place to eat. The bar is on the other side of
the eating area so it can be quite noisey at times. I like the pasta,
calzone (that are hugh!) and the BLT sandwhiches here. You can
eat very cheap here. They have just remodeled the inside and added
all new seats and fresh paint. Worth checking out. They also have
a pizza buffet during the lunch hours Monday-Friday.

Great family owned place. BIG sandwichs, big enough to share
and I personally love the "charlie" the tuna melt and I have to
say they have the BEST FRENCH salad dressing I have ever had. I
have family members that drive an hour and half away to eat here.

Great drive thru...love the fact that you can write a check at
the drive up window, which makes it very easy to make a lunch run
from the office. You can also buy the homemade bread here on saturdays.

GREAT FOOD, fast freindly service. Great bread and sandwiches
as well as pasta. The only down thing about this place is that they
do not accept checks.

| Papa's Sandbox | Port Byron, IL | |

It is kind of expensive for the cuts of meat they offer. You can
grill yur own steaks yourself or pay extra to have them cook it
for you. It has a classy thought but a casual presentation. I was
not very inpressed and will not likely return.

| The Veranda | Rock Island, IL | |

We went there tonight to check it out. It has a great view of the
Mississippi River and offers outside seating and a dock for boaters
to dock their boats at.
The menu is very over priced as it was hard for my husband and I
to spend the money they asked for their dinners so we ordered a
large pizza and two pops and two side salads and it costs us $30.00.
The salad come to us on plates that were hot to the touch therefore
the lettuce was warm from the heat of the plate. We ordered a pizza
that was half buffalo chicken pizza and half BLT. It was hot when
it arrived and was ok. The chicken pieces on the pizza were few
and far in between and the celery could have beem left off. The
Blt pizza was ok also but the bacon was never seen or tasted...I
think they forget it altogether. We had good service up to the
time that we had to ask for our bill and a to go box and then waited
nearly half an hour to receive them both, granted they were busy
but what does it take to get a coustomer their bill........
