| Doug's Place | Castro Valley, CA | |

the food is very good. we have learned from the past only to go there
on weekends. the service during the week is lousy lousy lousy.
but on the weekends we are in and out within 30 minutes. the food
comes to the table usually within 5 minutes on the weekends...on
the weekdays you'll be lucky to even get water on the table in 10
minutes! but the food is very good.

| East Ocean Seafood Restaurant | Alameda, CA | |
|
we have had many yummy meals here. we love to go to dimsum on the
weekends..the carts are filled with delightful treats. i definite
recommend this place. it gets busy but we don't have to wait long.
and i personally think the food is much nicer here than any oakland
chinatown dimsum house.

| Korean BBQ Buffet | San Leandro, CA | |
|
we ate here about a year ago..the food is mostly raw and you have
a gas grill that you have a pot of broth to cook with. it is fun. but
it sure is alot of work. there are many varieties of foods and even
sushi to pick from...but the service is lacking.
|
||
| Genghis Khan Kitehen | Alameda, CA | |
|
the food can be really good..when there is enough of it. sometimes
the items are all gone and it takes them a long while to refill it.
it is pretty much self service.

| Amarin Thai Cuisine | Alameda, CA | |
|
we have eaten here a few times. the atmosphere is quaint. the service
is good. but best of all the food is tasty. i do love their spring

|
||
| Ole's Waffle Shop | Alameda, CA | |
|
the food is excellent..but the atmosphere is less to be desired.
the tables seem to be crammed in there. the service is sometimes
lacking. but like i said the food is excellent.

| Jim's Coffee Shop | Alameda, CA | |
|
we have gone to Jim's for over 10 years now. I personally think
the service is good. They try hard. The food has been consistently
wonderful. They have a huge menu. I love their gyro's and burgers.
Hmmmm..and their milkshakes are yummy too.

| Sapporo Sushi Boat | Alameda, CA | |
|
i've been here a few times and have some wonderful dinners. the
bento boxes are my favorites. i've asked the sushi chef to make
special sushi rolls and he has come up with spectacular rolls.
the fish is always fresh. the sushi chef has made us free samples
often.
|
||
| Acapulco Restaurant | Alameda, CA | |
|
i've been going to acapulco for over 15 years. i've always enjoyed
their combination plates. so much food you have to ask for a container
before the meal! the service can be slow when it is busy..but always
friendly! one has to try their huge tacos. the food comes piping
hot. so yummy.
|
||
| El Caballo Restaurant | Alameda, CA | |
|
this is sure a hidden fine! it is tucked away on harbor bay island
part of alameda. the food is excellent. the choices are vast.
there was more seafood on the menu then expected. the manila clams
were excellent. chile relleno was very tasty. oh and their pina
colada's are excellent too...oh past on the tomato bisque soup.

this is a place with good food and great hours. i work swing shift

||
| New York Pizza | Alameda, CA | |
|
i like their pizza but coming from nyc...this definitely is not
new york style pizza. there is something very important missing..the
olive oil. new york pizza is dripping with olive oil..this lacks
it. although the pizza is very good..but shouldn't be called
new york pizza.

||
| Best Burger | Hayward, CA | |
|
this has to be one of the better burgers i have tasted. the fries
are good too. i would say they would fall into the category of nation's
burgers.
|
||
| Rickshaw Restaurant | Hayward, CA | |
|
for a chinese "fast food" take out place the food is less than average.
the rice is clumpy. the noodles barely have any vegetables or
meat in it. the service never with a smile.
