THIS RESTAURANT CLOSED AND HAS REOPENED UNDER ANOTHER NAME. WHEN IT WAS OPEN, CAWLEYS HAD THE BEST FRIED CATFISH I HAVE EATEN......WHILE DINING UNDER THE TEXAS STARLIGHT ON FRIDAY NIGHT, YOU COULD CATCH A LITTLE LIVE BLUEGRASS OR COUNTRY MUSIC. ACTUALLY THE LOCAL MUSICIANS WOULD JUST SHOW UP TO PLAY AND THE DINERS WOULD BENEFIT FROM THE MUSIC. AFTER YOU FINISHED EATING...JUST THROW YOUR LEFTOVERS TO THE RESIDENT CAT FOR A QUICK CLEAN UP. I REALLY MISS CAWLEYS AND I HAVEN'T EATEN AT THE NEW PLACE YET

really just an average sort of place, nothing fancy really sticks out about this one

a great place for breakfast although it has some funky things on the menu. you can't go wrong with the chicken fried steak for lunch or dinner followed by a piece of fudge pie. the service is very very slow....not a good place for people with young children

one of my favs in wimberley....the navajo tacos are the best and the iced tea is great

this place is no longer there, has been replaced by the creek view. john henrys was good. i haven't been to the creekview yet. what turns me off about the creekview is that all their employees are usually seen standing out the side door smoking and goofing off

this place makes pizza a little different, not like all the other chain type places. the ingrediants are fresh and the combination of ingrediants are unique....i like it

this place is great for lunch, a lunch including drink is under 5 bucks, they have a different special everyday for lunch. my fav is cheese enchiladas

again for the lunch special this place is the best......NO BUFFET thats what i like...nobody elses hands are in your food..everything is cooked hot when you get there my fav is the almond chicken

i have only been here twice and want to go back. the food is excellent, the waitstaff attentive and you get alot of food for your money. its is a good place to celebrate a special occasion with alot of people. they are very accomadating to a large party and especially children

if you like big plates of greasy cheesy mexican food this is the place. the mexicano plate was enough for an adult and a small child to share. the queso serranos is great tasting and a large portion, with a never ending basket of chips, cloth napkins are a plus

this is not tex mex! so don't go here expecting it. it you want some pretty authintic, spicy mexican food then go here. it is a very busy and popular place so go during the off time or go early if you have young kids. it is a sandra bullock favorite...you just might see her there
