| Thai Dishes | Manhattan Beach, CA | |

Just ate there tonight. Pretty good. No crowd. Good food. Plenty
of parking (must have been a slow night?) Enjoyed the Fried Rice
with Beef. Wish I had more room to try more. Next time!

| Old Venice | Manhattan Beach, CA | |
|
Had dinner there last night. Good atmosphere, nice food, decent
prices. I had Jim's Special (or was it Joe's? someone else?) Anyway,
it was a nice mix of shrimp and chicken in a tomato sauce on pasta.
I personally would have preferred more flavor, but a little cracked
red pepper and parmesan and it was pretty good. I did not walk away
hungry!

| De Schmire Restaurant | Petaluma, CA | |
|
I first ended up here in 1987 or so. If I had to pick a favorite restaurant
in the USA (and I've been to hundreds, many great ones) De Schmire
would have to be at the top. I haven't been there in a few years,
but the combination of great food, great atmosphere (eating
nearly IN the kitchen is awesome), and the staff that has the look
and feel of a family (an eclectic one?) covers all the bases for
me!

| Las Parrillas | Cotati, CA | |
|
Great mexican food (they call it aztec...) I've been going here
for 15+ years. Quality goes up and down a bit, but it is always good,
frequently excellent. Always enjoy their nice chuncky salsa
and the blended stuff is good, too. Had to give it 5 stars because
that's where I met my bride!!!

| The Prado Restaurant | San Diego, CA | |
|
Best food I've had in San Diego in 2000. The ambience was great.
The service first rate. Even with all the good things going on
around, the food was the star of the show. I'll be back!

| Chipotle Mexican Grill | La Jolla, CA | |
|
Next door to Trader Joe's, Chipotle Grill is great. For a reasonable
price, you get a massive meal, made quickly while you watch. In
fact, you walk with your food as a friendly server moves it down
the "assembly line" making it as you watch and as you direct several
options. You'll have to roll home after a Barbacoa, but it's worth
every minute of it. Great food, friendly service, good prices.

| St John's Restaurant | Sunnyvale, CA | |
|
Great place for lunch (if you can get in and get a seat). All kinds
of burgers and sandwiches and a lively atmosphere. Everything
I've ever had there has been excellent. If it weren't for the crowds
and the difficulty in finding a table, I'd give them 5 stars...

Saw Karinya driving by one day and stopped in for lunch. Very nice
place, very nice waitress, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food.
