| Mr Lester Steak House | Charenton, LA | |
|
I have eaten in many casino restaurants. Most offer cheap food
on a buffet. It is refreshing to eat in a Great restaurant in a casino.
Cypress Bayou Casino has a real gem in it's midst. It is off the
beaten path, but it is worth it to find this fine place. Don't worry
it is easy to find, just follow the signs to Cypress Bayou Casino.

| Flanagan's Creative Food | Thibodaux, LA | |
|
I have been going to Flanagan's about once a year since 1987. It
is a cozy place with friendly service. I have not been disappointed
on any of the visits to this restaurant. Great cajun food.

| La Casa Del Sol | Thibodaux, LA | |
|
A great family restaurant. The Mexican food is very good. The
service is really good. The platters are a great way to sample
the many delights of this great Mexican restaurant.

| Bubba's II Po-Boys & Seafood | Thibodaux, LA | |
|
Good po-boys. The oysters on the half shell where great and at
a great price. It is a good place to take the kids.

| Applewoods | Oklahoma City, OK | |
|
The fresh bread is to die for. I could eat it alone and not have dinner.
I was on a business trip in OKC and after eating in the hotel for
three straight days, I decieded to walk across the street to Applewood's.
I am so glad I did. It was a great experience.

| Cimarron Steak House | Oklahoma City, OK | |
|
Great steaks. There is a dance floor if you like to dance while
waiting fo your meal to come. There is sometimes a wait, but it
is worth the wait.

| Del-Rancho Restaurant | Oklahoma City, OK | |
|
It is just like being in a 1950's style diner. The steer burgers
are wonderful. A great place to take the kids.
|
||
| Shorty Small's | Oklahoma City, OK | |
|
Great place to take the kids. It is one of those places that have
posters and all kinds of things on the walls and ceiling. The fried
chicken was good and there was a lot of it. The service was very
friendly.

| Triple's | Oklahoma City, OK | |
|
The Monte Cristo sandwich was probably one of the best I have ever
had. It was so good that it is the only thing that I will order when
I go there. The service is excellent. Also a great happy hour spot.

| Trapper's Fish Camp | Oklahoma City, OK | |
|
Sorry, but being a native of New Orleans, the food there was not
that great. I had some "New Orleans Style Red Beans and Rice" and
they did not have any taste. The decore does make you think that
you are in South Louisiana, but once you start eating the food
then you know that you are in OKC. Most people from Oklahoma will
think that it is great, but a true cajun will not.

| Who Dat's Cajun Specialty Shop | Bald Knob, AR | |
|
I travel to Arkansas several times a year and I make it a point to
stop at Who Dat's for lunch. It has a great buffet that has a few
different things on it each time I go there. It is a great place
to eat.

| Stixx Asian Grille | Chalmette, LA | |
|
Great presentation. Great Food. A little bit more expensive
than the other Asian places in town.
|
||
| Mini Mutt's Cafe & Grill | Chalmette, LA | |
|
Great food. Down home cooking. Try the corn crab soup. Trout Delacroix.
Both are excellent.
|
||
| Cheung Garden Chinese Buffet | Chalmette, LA | |
|
Not the best Asian food, but it is okay. The kids will like this
place. They have made an attempt to offer sushi, but it has no taste.
|
||
| Barrister's | Chalmette, LA | |
|
Probably the only place in St. Bernard Parish that has white cloth
table cloths. The food is very good and the service is also very
good.
|
||
| Brothers Po-Boys | Chalmette, LA | |
|
I had a po-boy here and it was good. Not the best, but it will do when
you are hungry.
|
||
| Par 3 Restaurant & Lounge | Chalmette, LA | |
|
My wife had a steak there. It was pretty good. I had some baked fish
which was cooked perfectly. The service was good. It was a little
dark inside.

| Rocky & Carlo Restaurant & Bar | Chalmette, LA | |
|
Rocky and Carlos is a parish tradition. They have the same tables
and chairs that were in there since I can remember. The baked macaroni
is the best. Veal cutlet with baked mac will cost you only about
$6.00. The portions are huge. You will not leave hungry. Rocky's
is a place that everyone should try at least once and if you can
get past the decor, you will want to go back.
|
||
| Wai Wai Restaurant | Chalmette, LA | |
|
The Asian food here is just okay. There is nothing special that
you want to make you come back. The fried rice that comes with the
lunch plates has hardly anything in it. If you want Asian food
then you are better off going somewhere else.
|
||
| Mutt's Restaurant & Bar | Violet, LA | |
|
The seafood here is great. However, the last two times I went there
the service was so slow. If the food wasn't so good. I would have
walked out because of the service.
