This is a nice place to just hangout. Comfort seafood. Fresh oysters,
crunchy batterfried fish and chips. A very tasty clam chowder,
maybe a little thin. Good value.

| Rheinlander German Restaurant | Portland, OR | |
|
This one of those fun places to go with a group. Good food, people
watching, and priced "right". Fondue has been the mainstay for
decades and most people compare everyone else's to this restaurant.
What a great compliment. Good snitzle (sp) and tasty red cabbage.
Nice selection of beer. Go and have some fun!

| Pazzo Ristorante | Portland, OR | |
|
This establishment has suffered over the last couple of years
with a turnover in chef-type personnel. The menu fluctuates
and consistancy of grill type dishes sometime suffers. BUT,
having said all that, go here! Enjoy some fine regional Italian
grill, with a decididly Northwest flavor.

| Montage | Portland, OR | |

If fun is criteria for a nice evening, check this place out. Good
food? Check it out. Eclectic waitstaff? check it out. Funky,
under the bridge ramp, creaky floors, dark wood and mirrors?
check it out. A "won't hurt your pocketbook" menu. CHECK IT OUT!

A great "hangout". Wonderful food but limited menu. A fun place
for people watching. Seems like everyone here is having fun.

| Cricket's Restaurant | Coeur d Alene, ID | |
|
Very nice experience every time I go here. Try the oysters Carribean.
Fantastic flavor and fresh. Can be a little crowded at traditional
mealtimes. Nice bar area and a little noisy.

| Tomato Street | Coeur d Alene, ID | |
|
Great pasta! And the meat sauce is fantastic (wish I had the recipe).
Eclectic waitstaff that looks like they are having fun. A very
nice feel to this restaurant. You can tell they have a great marketing
plan. Ask for the ravioli thats not on the menu.

| Beachouse Restaurant | Coeur d Alene, ID | |
|
What a nice find this restaurant has become to me. Beautiful view
of the lake, good valued food and pleasant staff. A bar that can
become busy but never hurried. Have a drink, some appetizers
and listen to some great conversations.

| Mulligan's Rotisserie Grill | Coeur d Alene, ID | |
|
Usually eat my dinner in the Mulligan's bar area of this restaurant.
Why? Because the staff here is extraordinary. Mary and Kelly
and the rest of the staff really know how to serve. There is a nice
mix of tourist golfers and locals to make for interesting conversation.
Nice salad bar, good ribs, moist chicken and a good overall value.

| Rustlers Roost | Coeur d Alene, ID | |
|
Nice barbeque joint! A nice tangy sauce served on good meat. Cooked
onsite to perfection. Buy some sauce to take home.

| Hagadone Corp | Coeur d Alene, ID | |
|
Upscale restaurant in the Coeur D'Alene Resort Hotel. A little
pricy but well worth the time. Their Sunday Brunch is the best
in this whole area. Have a glass of champagne and rub elbows with
the elite. Plus a fabulous view of Lake Coeur D'Alene.

| Ichiban Restaurant | Kahului, HI | |
|
Just another neighborhood hangout that serves great food. The
Loco Moco is exceptionally good with sticky rice and a thick gravy.
Stick to the ribs food just like it should be. Not the cleanest
place in town but still a good value. Just close your eyes.

| Mcgrath's Fish House | Medford, OR | |
|
Not as good as some of the McGrath's around the state. Service
is slow and the fish quality is not what it should be. Having said
that, I still go there because it is a wonderful value. A few changes
and it would be the top seafood restaurant in town.

| Dory Cove | Lincoln City, OR | |
|
Fresh seafood! And, at the coast we expect nothing less. Oysters
with that "briney" bite of fresh-shucked freshness. Fish and
chips with cod that flakes and is moist. A very good chowder that
is filled with clams. Good value. Don't be put off by the long lines
that develop around mealtime. It's worth the wait.

| Kyllo's Seafood & Grill | Lincoln City, OR | |
|
Beautiful view of the coast. Good service. Possibly the best
steamer clams I've ever had. Fresh baked bread. A wonderful dining
experience.
|
||
| Mo's Restaurant | Lincoln City, OR | |
|
Overrated clam chowder. Thin and lacks the full bodied flavor
of ingredient layering. This comes from adding milk to a base
rather than simmering fresh ingredients. The quality varies
from location to location. Oh, that Mo Niemi was still around
to pick up on the quality control.

||
| Cimmiyotti's | Pendleton, OR | |
|
Generally good but can vay with staff on duty. The kitchen is the
most glaring example. Wonderful cuts of meat that can changed
by a heavy hand on the grill. Service is spotty especially in the
bar area. Not a bad dinner if you happen to catch the right combination
of players.

||
| Sea Hag Restaurant & Lounge | Depoe Bay, OR | |
|
Friendly locals. Great place to people watch. Very good clam
chowder. Comfort food. Not a big selection but a great place to
hang out on a blustery day.
|
||
| Jackie's Ribs Salem | Salem, OR | |
|
Generally known for good barbeque but I don't think so. Very good
sauce but the meat quality is suspect. Doesn't posess that rich
smokey flavor of long, slow cooking. Just cooked meat with sauce
slathered on it.
|
||
| Shamrock Restaurant & Lounge | Saint Paul, OR | |
|
Interesting place. BIG burgers and lots of beer. Best be a local
here on Friday and Saturday nights. Nice barbeque competition
in the summer in the alley between buildings. Cowboy atmosphere.
