| Garfields | Evansville, IN | |
|
Our whole family enjoys going to Garfield's. The kids love coloring
on the paper table coverings with the crayons provided, and the
kids' meals are pretty good. My husband likes their shrimp, and
their burger platters and salads are also quite good, as are their
onion rings. This is a relatively new place in Evansville, so
it's still on the crowded side. The service we've received has
been spotty -- good the first time and marginal on our other two
visits.

| The Landmark | Evansville, IN | |
|
A very nice place for a romantic evening out or when you just want
a relaxing, quiet gourmet dinner that is delicious and beautifully
presented. We can't wait to return!

| Crazy Tomato Italian Rstrnt | Evansville, IN | |
|
This place has good Italian food and a neat atmosphere. It's a
nice place for a quiet meal with someone special. Service can
be slow, though.

| Hilltop Inn | Evansville, IN | |
|
This popular spot is synonymous with the West Side! This establishment
has lots of character, plus the food is good. Their fried chicken
is a nice treat! It's the taste of authentic Evansville!

| Chopstick House | Evansville, IN | |
|
Good service and food, whether you dine in or carry out! If you
like Chinese, you'll want to try this restaurant!

| Angelos Italian Restaurant | Evansville, IN | |
|
This is a great Italian restaurant and wonderful place to go for
a special evening. It's Downtown location adds charm to the experience
of dining here. It's a great change of pace from the chain restaurants.

| Wolf's Bar-B-Q Restaurant | Evansville, IN | |
|
The food is very good, but the service needs improvement. They
aren't what I would describe as "family-friendly, " in general,
and our children are well-behaved. The prices are on the high
side for what you get. They are known not only for their barbeque
but for their wonderful pies.

| Kipplee's Stadium Inn | Evansville, IN | |
|
The pizza is wonderful, and so are the appetizers. It's a fun place
to go before or after a basketball game at Robert's Stadium, and
a nice spot for a workday lunch. Check this place out! It's quite
popular, as the crowd on most evenings reflects!

| Tumbleweed Southwest Mesquite Grill & Bar -- ... | Evansville, IN | |
|
We enjoy taking our kids here for a special family treat! This
place has great food and wonderful lunch specials. The kids love
coloring with the selection of crayons they can pull out of a wooden
cactus. They also can't wait to get a balloon as we leave.
Enter your child's colored placemat for a chance to win a free
kid's meal. Kids eat free here on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Their
Sunday fajitas special is also a good deal.
My husband likes their buffalo steak and mesquite pork chops.
Their taco salads, grilled chicken sandwiches, mesquite chicken,
and nachos are also quite good.
This location is much larger and well-designed that other local locations. |

| The Old Mill | Evansville, IN | |
|
The Old Mill has lots of charm and character. It's neat to sit by
their water wheel or up in the loft. Their family-style meals
are good as are their buffets. I also like their grilled chicken
and side salads, and their fried chicken is quite good.
It's also a nice spot for special events, such as company or club
parties, wedding rehearsal dinners (we had ours here), etc.

| Canton Inn Restaurant | Evansville, IN | |
|
I haven't been to this Chinese restaurant for awhile. The food
was on the bland side, and someone we were with had a bug run up their
leg. That did it for us, and we love Chinese food!! The service
was good, however, and I know many folks who rave about this place.

||
| Lic's Deli & Ice Cream | Evansville, IN | |
|
Good food and wonderful ice cream. This is a nice place for a light
lunch. Their sandwiches and yogurt shakes are quite good. I love
their chicken salad and their red raspberry sorbet.
|
||
| Gd RITZY'S | Evansville, IN | |
|
Their grilled chicken sandwiches, onion rings, salads, and
shoestring fries, as well as their burgers, are good! Their ice
cream and shakes are well worth the visit! Try Chunky Dory fudge,
their award-winning chocolate ice cream. It's good in a shake,
too. Their authentic cherry Cokes are also quite good.

| Fox and Hounds English Pub | Evansville, IN | |
|
This is a popular place to go to unwind after work. It's a fun atmosphere
with good food and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages.
|
||
| Pizza King | Evansville, IN | |
|
This place has good pizza, but we particularly like their strombolis.
We generally carry out our food.
|
||
| Knotty Pine Cafe | Evansville, IN | |
|
We were here once and NOT impressed. The non-smoking section
was so small that it was a joke, and the food was pretty average.
The prices weren't bad, but this place is not high on our list of
restaurants to which to return -- especially considering the
number of places in Evansville from which to choose.
|
||
| Rafferty's Restaurant & Bar | Evansville, IN | |
|
Rafferty's has good food, and the service is generally good,
although it's not always the best. Their chicken tenders and
loaded baked potatoes are quite good. Their kids' meals are a
hit with our children, too.
|
||
| Darryl's 1920 Restaurant & Bar | Evansville, IN | |
|
We really like the food at Darryl's, particularly their cajun
shrimp and salads. Their desserts are also quite good. Ask for
matzos bread while you wait for your food. It's a fun atmosphere
with neat decor!
|
||
| Logan's Roadhouse | Evansville, IN | |
|
Logan's has good chicken, steaks, and ribs and a fun atmosphere.
Our eldest daughter loved the steak she had here -- her first "real"
steak -- on her last birthday, and they made her feel very special
when they recognized her birthday. My husband likes to go here
for workday lunches with colleagues.
|
||
| Don Pablo's | Evansville, IN | |
|
Don Pablo's is probably my husband's favorite lunch spot. Their
lunch specials are quite good, especially their salads with
marinated, grilled chicken on them. The children's meals are
also quite good. The kids like the potatoes shaped like letters
and numbers. Their chips and salsa are also favorites. However,
in my experiences, the service has needed improvement. They
like to seat you where it's convenient for them -- not the most
comfortable for your party size -- even when it's not crowded,
and the servers I have had haven't been very friendly nine out
of 10 times.
