| Rose Brier Inn | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
No longer operating as a restaurant but only as a catering hall.

| Mack's Pizza | Wildwood, NJ | |
|
Mack's pizza is not the same as it used to be. It's still good,
but that's all. The sauce is now very bland and there's not
enough sauce on the pies. Seems like they are cutting back on quality.

| Beach Grill | Cape May, NJ | |
|
The food here is typical grill fare but they have interesting twists
that make it tasty. For instance they have what they call a Jamaican
style kecthup. Basically I think it's ketchup with cinnamon but
it's unusal enough and it actually makes an average hamburger
quite good. They have hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, fried
fish...All good and you can't beat the view.

| Mack & Manco Pizza | Ocean City, NJ | |
|
While Mack's in Wildwood has gone downhill, Mack and Manco's
is still great, even the sauce is still good.

| Tamarind Thai Restaurant | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
I finally tried this place and was very pleased. We had the chicken satay,
Tamarind spicy noodles, Isan style NY strip steak, and all were excellent.
Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Next time we want to try the soups
and other appetizers as there are some interesting looking ones on
the menu.

| Nicks Roast Beef | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
The roast beef is obviously good as it has been for years. Don't
overlook their roast pork however as that's just as good and almost
South Philly quality.

| Davids Mai Lai Wah Chinese Restaurant | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
I used to come here for good food when not in need of a fancy atmosphere.
I went there two weeks ago and was completely disapointed. This
used to be a reliable standby choice. The service was aweful and
it was not crowded. The waiters were too concerned with talking
on their cell phones and other things than the customers. Did
not get tea or fried noodles until 20 minutes of being there. The
food was not good like it used to be. In fact the food was kinda bad.
We saw others getting bad service as well while we were there.
I will never set foot in the place again.

| South Street Souvlaki | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
I ate here for the first time in years and was very pleased. The
food was authentic and very, very good. I especially liked the
soup, some sort of Greek soup that was made with lemon. the main
courses were excellent as well and the prices and service were
just as good!

||
| Geno's Steaks | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
Their cheesesteaks seem to not be as good as they used to. The steak
tastes like it is boiled rathered than fried. Very bland.

| Country Club Diner | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
After years of relying on it's reputation and age but not
the quality, Michael's has bought The Country Club from
the original owners and the food has finally improved again.
The selections are now the traditional ones they had and also
the ones in Michaels. The prices have gone up a bit but still good.
YES, they still have their signature Cheesecake and Jewish apple
pie!

| Tiffany Diner | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
Michael's bought out the owners of this diner too. The prices
have gone up but the food is about the same quality.

| China Garden Inn Restaurant IV | Willow Grove, PA | |
|
The decor is very nice inside. The staff was extremely attentive
and friendly. The food was very very good. The fried rice tasted
far better than most places, the hot and sour soup was delicious,
crispy orange chicken was great and I especially liked their
szechuan version of cold noodles appetizer.
This is now in the very select group of maybe a half dozen Asian
restaurants in or around the Northeast, bux/montco area I would
recommend or take friends to if I wanted more than just take out
quality food. I have to say it one more time, the place is very good.

||
| Red Lion Diner | Horsham, PA | |
|
The service is very poor. The food is just edible and the portions
are NOT big. Don't bother going here, it's not even worth trying.
Go down the road to Lancer's.

||
| China Buffet | Warrington, PA | |
|
Better than most buffets, but still not on par with a good type
Chinese restaurant. They have a fairly good selection but some
of the foods were bland.

||
| Midtown Ii Restaurant | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
Great diner in the heart of downtown. Great food and staff. Always
a great place to go for breakfast or what not after coming out of
the area bars like The Bikestop.
|
||
| Copabanana | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
The food is good here. Good burgers, but truthfully the reason
to come here is for the margeritas, which also makes the memory
of the food a little blurry.
|
||
| Moe's Deli Restaurant | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
A great and old deli in Mayfair. A long tradition for area families
for their sandwiches and butcher shop.
|
||
| Outback Steak House | Bensalem, PA | |
|
Good steaks, good service, great and fun mixed drinks. I hate
the lines too, so avoid it during weekends and peak dining times.
if there are only 2 or 3 of you though, a secret is that you can eat
at the bar if there is room without a wait.

| China Bowl Restaurant | Huntingdon Valley, PA | |
|
An older chinese place that has been around for ages. Always has
had good food and service and still does.
|
||
| Java Jitters | Philadelphia, PA | |
|
Nice place in the neighborhood for soup and coffee. Just wish
they were open a little later than they are for evening coffee
or dessert.
