| Le Cafe' Du Teau | Augusta, GA | |
|
We tried the stuff mushrooms and grilled portobello mushrooms
with our guest, and they were very good. Our main dish was the grilled
Jamaican chicken and our guest had the veal Schnitzel Cafe'.The portions
were very generous, and very good. Service was good, but could have
been better. We had the lemond cheese cake, which was excellent for
desert. All in all we were very pleasedand would highly recommend
dinning here. Our only complain to a otherwisegreat evening was the
terriable smell of cigarett smoke filtering in from the front. We suggest
you make reservations for the veryback, reservations are
recommended.

| Partridge Inn | Augusta, GA | |
|
The Partridge Inn is an old historic inn that over looks the
many historic places in Augusta. Dinning is on the second floor and one can eat
outside on the deckweather permitting. The view is wonderful, and the
dinning area large, with great views. Thsi is a completelyno smoking
resterant. We had the gilled veal and guld shrip meals of the day.Portions
were good, the food was nice, but no outstanding, and the service was
only fair. This is a place of different personalities, in thatone can
have great food and service one day, and poor the next. We suggest you
give it a try.
The Sunday brunch is their one saving grace, it's truely wonderful.

| LaMaison | Augusta, GA | |
|
We mention LaMaison only to warn you that one can't judge a book by
it's cover.I took my wife there for her birthday and the food and
service was very poor, and the price very high. Our guest felt the same
way. so we returned anouther date, just to make sure we were not wrong.
Sadly, again poor food, poor service and a lot of hype. How this place
made it on the most elegant dining list is beyond us. Elegant maybe, but
it allbegins and ends there. Maybe you will have better results,
but don't bet on it.

| Dukes Bbq | Bamberg, SC | |
|
Here, in this small town of Bamburg, I found a small BBQ place that
is pure heaven. The fied chicken is worth killing over, and the
BBQ is as good as I have had naywhere in the south. It's a all you
can eat, and for $6.00 you get it all, drink, deseart, and meals.
The quality and taste of the food is wonderful and I ride up from
Augusta many times with groups just to eat there. The desearts
are all homemade. Give it a try if you are going or coming back from
Charleston and pass through this nice, old town.

| Slightly North of Broad Rstrnt | Charleston, SC | |
|
Having seen many offerings on ', Great Chefs of The World ", series.
My friends and I visited Slightly North of Broad. The food lived
up to
all that I had seen, and the Salmon that I had for lunch was the best
I had ever eaten, anywhere.
The service on that day was sorry, but maybe that was an oddity.
We will see next time, but the
food had by all was outstanding.

| Ray's On The River | Atlanta, GA | |
|
Our first visit and a delightful one at that . We had the Blacken
Fish Alexanderwhich was wonderful and a large portion. Also, the
Herb Roasted Chicken was outstandingand all one could eat. For
deserts we had Caramel Turtle Cheeze cake and the Praline basket, which
is a must eat desert. The view was wonderful, especially as the sun
set. We will definately go again. All in all a wonderful dinning
experience.
