| Jewish Mother | Virginia Beach, VA | |
Great sandwiches, and good dinner specials...also a good place
for breakfast. The atmosphere is very "young", but every time
I've been there the crowd has been a mix of families w/ young children,
young people and more mature people. But I've never been there
past 8PM either.

| Dough Boy's California Pizza | Virginia Beach, VA | |
A bit skitzo in theme (California name, "Aloha" greeting, Carribean
decor, and all American menu), but the pizza is fab and the kids
love the frisbees under the kids meal plates.

| Mahi Mah's | Virginia Beach, VA | |
The Sunday brunch is well worth the trip. Plus GREAT happy hour
deals.
| Cal'z Pizza | Virginia Beach, VA | |
The pizza is pretty standard, but you gotta try their calzones...first
rate!
| Daruma Japanese Restaurant | Virginia Beach, VA | |
If you like the kinda place where you get to watch your food being
prepared, this place is for you. Kids (of all ages) love to watch,
especially when there's a little fire. Too cool. The food was
very good too!

| Pete & George's Steak House | Virginia Beach, VA | |
Don't let the outside appearance of this place throw you off (it
looks like something of a dive) the food is really good, and it's
way better inside than outside. I'd consider it a true locals'
secret.

| Charlie's Courtside | Beaver Falls, PA | |
Good food, good service and a view of the golf course, what more
could you ask for?
| Thursday's | Beaver, PA | |
A place where evrybady knows your name? The decor suggests such
a thing, anyway. The food is pretty good, though I'll skip the
teriaki next time.
| Chi-Chi's Restaurante | Monaca, PA | |
The decor is fun, but the same as most. The food is pretty average,
though they make a good margharita.
| Post House Cafeteria & Gift | Breezewood, PA | |
If you don't mind cafeterias, stop by this one. The food is good
homey fare and the prices are very reasonable. There's plenty
of bus parking, so if your planning a bus trip make this the place
to stop on your way through town.

| Baby's Burgers & Shakes | State College, PA | |
Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere. And the food's good too!
| Champs Sports Bar & Grill | State College, PA | |
Yeah, it's a sports bar, but you won't be out of place if you don't
like sports OR bars. The food is GREAT, I particularly recommend
the potato skins and nachos.
| Corner Room | State College, PA | |
The absolute best coffee you will ever drink. They have a great
buffet on Sundays...you won't eat again all day. I've never been
disappointed in anything I've ever ordered here. It's a legend.

| Faccia Luna Pizzeria | State College, PA | |
Good pizza, nice atmosphere, but a little small if you have a big
party (which we did). Well worth the trip from downtown, though.
| Shandygaff Saloon | State College, PA | |
It IS just a bar, and pretty much is at night and on weekends. Sticky
floor, in the basement...it's not much for atmosphere. BUT,
most ppl don't know that if you go in for lunch you can expect a pretty
good burger. Maybe even the best in town.
| Vesuvio Pizzeria | State College, PA | |
They make a great pizza, but the subs are not to be missed. They
make their own rolls, and the fixins are first rate. Vesuvios
is my first stop any time I hit town.
| Waffle Shop | State College, PA | |
Don't even try on a football weekend, but it's not as crowded as
the downtown location. Either place serves the best breakfast
in town.
| Waffle Shop | State College, PA | |
The beat breakfast in town, but usually a bit crowded, esp. on
the weekends. If you have a car (or access to one) head out North
Atherton to the other location.
| Cafe 210 West | State College, PA | |
The food is good, especially munchies, but you MUST have a Long
Island Iced Tea on the patio if you're in town and it's warm enough.
Sit and watch the people go by.
| Golden Wok Chinese Restaurant | State College, PA | |
The best Chineese in town. Not your typical take-out, but a real
restaurant. Worth it.
