| Catfish Cabin & Seafood House | Memphis, TN | |
|
Good place to get fish. Always delicious and generous portions.
Used to offer a free meal on your birthday don't know if they still
do but everyone I know would always take advantage of the offer.
Have a great seafood platter with fried oysters, shrimp, and
catfish which is what I usually order other than the jumbo catfish
plate. Good service, clean, and consistent.

| Ed's Country Catfish House | Memphis, TN | |

Wish they had a larger selection on their buffet bar but the food
is good. They are usually always busy but still provide good service.

| El Porton Mexican Restaurant | Memphis, TN | |
|
Quite generous portions of food (never can finish something
by myself). Good service and friendly staff. Like to pop in here
when I feel like Mexican.

| Leonard's Pit Barbecue | Memphis, TN | |
|
Eat here often when I want BBQ and spaghetti. They have a great
dinner buffet with wet and dry ribs. Always great service from
the waitresses who keep your glasses full with refreshing and
perfectly brewed ice tea. Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly
staff. Have been patronizing Leonard's for five years now and
will continue to do so. So far, other than my own, this is the only
place where I will get BBQ in Memphis.

| Little Tea Shop | Memphis, TN | |
|
Used to eat here almost daily for lunch when I worked downtown.
Good food and EXTREMELY friendly service and staff. There are
many "regulars" here and that's always a good sign. The pasta
salad is one of my favorites and is simply wonderful. Nice cozy
environment and very relaxing.

| Sleep Out Louies | Memphis, TN | |
|
If you come to Memphis or live in Memphis, you have to try this place.
When you first walk in, you think you're just going to get the usual
downtown bar scene but this is a really great place to eat. Their
chicken alfredo is to die for and they have a spinach & cheese dish
that is heaven. I would eat here almost daily when I worked downtown
(which was sort of a bad thing because I would always order the
chicken alfredo & spinach and eat it daily). The service is really
fast even when they are crowded for lunch. The bartenders are
always friendly and charming (I always ordered "to go" so you
order from the bar) no matter who you get. This is an excellent
place to be and I highly recommend you stop in and say hello.

| Yellow Rose Cafe | Memphis, TN | |
|
Good selection and good tasting home cooking. Often quite busy
during lunch hours yet quick service for carry-out. Absolutely
wonderful staff and manager. If you are in the downtown area,
stop by here for a taste of real home cooking.

| Lot A Burger | Memphis, TN | |
|
Really huge burgers which are always juicy and delicious. Have
a homemade grilled taste. If you like big burgers, this is a place
to go. Also have the best chocolate milkshakes. Which there were
more locations across town but this one's still worth the trip.

| Dale's | Southaven, MS | |
|
Homecooked style food & family atmosphere. Really have good
food but don't go unless you're hungry (good portions). Good
place to take the family when you just don't feel like cooking
but still want homecooked food.

| Folk's Folly Prime Steak House | Memphis, TN | |
|
Great place to go when you're looking for somewhere elegant &
somewhat romantic. 4 star quality food & great service. Really
nice and quiet atmosphere. Perfect for that special evening.
The food is ala carte but really worth every penny. Recommend
highly.

| China Buffet | Memphis, TN | |
|
Large selection and variety on buffet but seafood (crab legs
& shrimp) very watery and tasteless. Something lacking in food.
Have eaten here about three times but probably won't again. Other
great Chinese restaurants to enjoy.

| Best Pizza In Town-Exlines' | Memphis, TN | |
|
This is THE WORST PIZZA IN TOWN. Their crust is like cardboard
boxes and I don't know what they use for cheese but it isn't real.
Pizza was very tasteless (had absolutely no flavor). The pizza
sauce was non-existent and extremely bland. I don't know who
could like this pizza. It shouldn't even be called pizza. They
should go out of business (hopefully soon). Yuk!

| Piccadilly Cafeteria | Memphis, TN | |
|
Good home cooking and not long wait since cafeteria style line
moves along quickly which makes it fast and convenient for lunch.
Really good home style cooking with great taste and the waitresses
are really friendly and extremely nice (must be that Southern
hospitality).
