| The Naked Moose | Colorado | |

Extremely good food, service, and ambiance! The steaks and pasta
are first rate. It also has a catchy title. Make sure you take time
to find out why it is called the Naked Moose. Very funny!

| Kolby's Dine & Stein | New Hampton, IA | |
|
I did a buffet here during the Davis rally 2000. Food was good but
nothing to write home about. The buffet had a good variety of dishes
that gave you enough options to find something you liked. I didn't
care for the broasted chicken. It seemed a little rare.

Great place to get breakfast. The service is good and the menu
is varied. They have daily specials you can take advantage of.
Nice family restaurant.

| Bierstube R W's | Red Wing, MN | |

Fantastic brats! The fish and chips are very good. Generous portions
and great service. Not much for atmosphere, but the food makes
up for it!

| Pinicon | New Hampton, IA | |
|
Great buffet!!! Every year there is a rally in New Hampton and
this restaurant goes out of their way to put on a spead that is tasty
and reasonable. You can't get any better than that!
Located right next door to a great motel so you can overeat and then take that nap! |

| Winona Steakhouse | Winona, MN | |
|
This place used to be a chain steakhouse. The food is still about
the same, but suprisingly good. This would be a great place to
take the family. Lots and lots of room for that busload of tourists.

| Great Hunan Restaurant | Winona, MN | |
|
Fantastic food! They love to use garlic, but that is a flavor I
love so I love the food. Typical atmosphere for a Chinese restaurant
and good service.
|
||
| Golden China Chinese Rstrnt | Winona, MN | |
|
Average chinese restaurant. Food is good, service is friendly,
prices are resonable, and atmosphere is about what you would
expect.

| Acoustic Cafe | Winona, MN | |
|
This is kind of a unique place. Lots of the customers are college
students so you get the eclectic flavor of eager young minds conversing
around you. They serve mostly sandwiches, and do a great job with
lattes and coffees. If you are lucky, you will be there on the night
they have entertainment. It is usually ballad type singers.
Unique and takes me back to the 60's.

| Beier's Family Restaurant | Winona, MN | |
|
Nice family restaurant with nightly specials. Service is very
good and the food all has a home cooked flavor.

||
| Sammy's Pizza & Restaurant | Winona, MN | |
|
I never tried the pizza, but have eaten the sandwiches. They custom
make them, subs, etc. They are good, but seemed a little dry to
me.

| Alma Hotel | Alma, WI | |
|
They do some of the best broasted chicken I have ever tasted! Meals
are very reasonable in price and offer a home cooked flair. I should
know, I live in Alma.
The wait staff is good and they have a varied menu with daily specials. |

| Heckel's Family Restaurant | Chippewa Falls, WI | |
|
Stopped here for breakfast with a large group. The wait staff
did a fine job of getting us all served together. I had a heck of
a time getting my eggs to order. I had to send them back two times,
but they finally got it right and they were great! The rest of the
group had no complaints.
Not a bad place to eat. |

| Arizonas Restaurant & Lounge | Chippewa Falls, WI | |
|
I ate here during a meeting and was impressed with the food and
service. The atmosphere is nice and lends to a relaxing and enjoyable
meal. I recommend the steak!
They also serve a Sunday buffet that is varied and tasty! |

| Pioneer Club | Wabasha, MN | |
|
The Pioneer club is actually located about 5 miles south of Wabasha
in an area called Sand Prairie. The restaurant overlooks the
Mississippi River and has a floating dock that can be used by boaters
who want to dock and dine.
I suggest the shrimp cocktail! Fantastic! |
||
| Slippery Dock | Wabasha, MN | |
|
Slippery dock is a great place! As the name implies, it is locaed
right on the main channel of the Mississippi River. You can dock
and dine! This little establishment is "the" Slippery's mentioned
in the movie "Grumpy Old Men".
The even have preserved some of the movie sets. The food is good with an average midwest menu. The draw here is the attachment to the movie. |

| Heckel's Family Restaurants | Osseo, WI | |
|
This establishment advertises beef as king! In fact, the have
a huge steer as a road sign. The beef is better than ok, but not excellent.
The wait staff make up for it though with their friendly smiles
and attentive attitude. Plenty of parking and right off the highway.
Just look for the big Steer!

| Mary Lou's Restaurant | Neillsville, WI | |
|
This is the typical truck stop cafe. You can get real honest to
goodness home cooking here! One of the few places where they really
do eggs to order, ,, and you get them done the way you want them.
I love to harrass the waitress, and she gives it right back! One
of my favorite places!

| Ebbe's Lake Aire | Wisconsin Rapids, WI | |
|
I was here a few times when we had a motorcycle meeting in Wisconsin
Rapids. We walked in (about 25 of us) and they not only handled
the surge, but we were all served at the same time! I don't know
how they did it, but their cook must have 25 hands! I had the prime
rib and it was excellent! I saw others who had seafood and not a
complaint in the bunch. Highly reccommend.
