| Il Fornaio | Portland, OR | |
|
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the Il Fornaio. To me it was very authentic.
The food was well prepared, however I do think that for the price
that you pay for the food, you should get bigger portions. The
service was exceptional. The setting gives you a warm, comfortable
surrounding of dining out. I recommend this restraunt for newcomers
of Portland. Very good quality of food.

| The Pavilion Grille | Rogers City, MI | |
|
It's only a seasonal restaurant(May-September), but the food
and ice cream are great! It has a wonderful view of Lake Huron, the
city marina, beach and limestone quarry.

| Herbs Barbque | Jackson, TN | |

Great barbeque, meat and three prepared from fresh ingredients,
home baked desserts, soul food at it's best

| Al Fresco | Newport News, VA | |
|
Interesting place. Very classy inside, although you wouldn't
know it by the fact that it is part of a strip mall. Table cloths,
folded cloth napkins, tables already set, stucco artwork on
the walls all set this place apart from other small restaurants
in that part of Newport News. Good thing I wasn't wearing shorts
or a ball cap; the place was a bit on the dressy side.
Wait staff was very friendly, possibly all family members. I thought the host was hitting on my girlfriend, but he turned out to be cool. The food is well prepared in both flavor and presentation. Selection of menu items fairly decent. Prices are a bit on the high side, but that is to be expected (this isn't an Olive Garden or Fazzoli's.) All in all a very good place. Do check it out. |

| Dunbar East Restaurant | San Angelo, TX | |
|
A home style family restaurant featuring daily lunch menu for
the working folks. Sunday is a great day for lunch. Known far and
wide though for their steaks, which are economical and the best
in Texas. A well-kept secret except to the local folks. Joe Blanek
has been in the restaurant business for most of his life here in
San Angelo and it shows. Good EATS

| Warehouse Restaurant | Coshocton, OH | |

Ate here twice - once for lunch and once as part of a large group
so we were served buffet style. Both times we received good food
and excellent service. For lunch I had a chicken stir fry that
was excellent. Other choices included a variety of sandwiches
such as hot ham and cheese and hamburgers along with some soups
such as bean soup with cornbread. We were served bread and muffins
prior to ordering. For dinner we had swiss steak and parmiagan
chicken as our entrees. These came with salads, extra large baked
potatoes and a vegetable. The food was all hot and well cooked.
I heard no complaints from anyone in our party.

THIS EXQUISITELY VICTORIAN DECORATED RESTAURANT IS FAMOUS
FOR SERVING THE FRESHEST, MOST DELICIOUSLY PREPARED, CREATIVE

| Outpost | Carrizozo, NM | |
|
Great Chile Hamburgers! A whole order of french fries is HUGE.
Good steaks. Great bar for hanging out - a PURPLE pool table and
lots of critters (dead) on the walls and a huge dead rattlesnake
over the bar. Good prices, huge helpings, good service - what
more could you want?!

| Clock Tower Restaurant | Huntsville, AL | |
|
Very friendly staff, excellent quality food. We were in late,
the waitress explained that they were out of sweet tea and prime
rib. Everything else on the menu was available. For 2 adults,
a meal w/2 veggies and dessert, iced tea, the total was under $18.00.

| Irish Rover | Louisville, KY | |
|
A fine Irish pub. Authentic music, food and drink with a friendly
atmosphere. I highly recommend the Cottage Pie or Dublin Cottle
(prevents hangovers or so the legend says). Try it with a pint
of Newcastle. You can't go wrong.
There is a new parking lot adjacent to the Rover. This will help the crowded Crescent Hill / Clifton dining spots. |

| Towboat Annie’s River Cafe | Louisville, KY | |
|
Yes, this is a boat. The atmosphere is wonderful. Tied up on the
shore of the Ohio River in Historic downtown Louisville. The
food is a little better than average and the service is excellent.
Sit outside and have a drink and watch the sun setting over the
river.

| Jake & Elwood’s | Louisville, KY | |
|
It's glorified fast food. But if you get to be a regular they will
take good care of you. Everyone who works there treats you like
family. Check out the live music on the weekends.

| Maier’s Tavern | Louisville, KY | |
|
Karaoke on the weekends. But go there for lunch and TREAT yourself
to the finest Hot Browne in the city. YOu can also try fried corn
(on the cob). Very friendly and helpful staff as well. In St. Matthews
near the corner of Shelbyville and Breckenridge Ln.

| The Lighthouse On Frankfort | Louisville, KY | |
|
I wish they had an interesting menu. I have been a few times and
love the atmosphere. The people are WONDERFUL and there is live
music. But there menu is just so ordinary. The food is very good.
But you can get it just about anywhere. Go for a drink and see what
you think.

| Bangkok Buffet | Louisville, KY | |
|
Tai buffet open for lunch and dinner. This was my first and only
Tai experience. And I will be back. If you like curry, there is
a large section set aside for you. There is plenty more to choose
from as well. A very good value. The service is top notch.

| Baxter Station Bar and Grill | Louisville, KY | |
|
Wonderful food and atmosphere in the bar and the restaurant.
Few places in Louisville will offer a more cheerful and helpful
wait staff. Do yourself a favor and order the gumbo! A wine list
that is far more grand than you would expect.
|
||
| Furlongs | Louisville, KY | |
|
Top notch! My favorite place along this section of Frankfort
Avenue. Cajun and Creole at it's best. The owner is from Lafayette,
Louisiana and my cajun friends can testify that the food is authentic.
It is expensive but a good value.
