Cici's Pizza Fort Smith, AR
A wide variety of fresh pizzas served buffet all-you-can eat style. A modest salad bar and a video area for the kids complete this family dining bargain.
California Grill Fort Smith, AR
The shrimp dishes are my favorites at this small but pleasant cafe. This is a complete change of pace from other area restaurants and the staff is friendly.
Taliano's Fort Smith, AR
In restored victorian mansion this the is area's most beautiful restaurants -- if only the 'Italian'food were the same quality! I have yet to meet an entree here I would ever want to eat again, though I have friends who swear by their favorite dishes. The sweets are real treats here at anyrate. Everone should eat here at least once just for the setting. Maybe you'll be one of their fans.
Cottage Cafe Van Buren, AR
In downtown Van Buren this is the kinda cafe they don't seem to make anymore. Nothing fancy just good food, good service, and good prices. A local favorite for breakfast and the plate lunch specials. Very handy to the train station. Parking is where you find it.
Ole Feed House Fort Smith, AR
This is my personal area favorite for catfish and all the trimmings. Good food and good variety presented buffet style with great consistency. Additional entree options include chicken, bar-b-que ribs, and, some evenings, crablegs. The rolls, plain and cinnamon, are a treat. The staff is super friendly.
Folie A Deux Fort Smith, AR
An excellent spot for very good, but not inexpensive, lunches. If this restaurant were as good as the owners imagine it would be culinary heaven! Since it isn't save your money and do lunch not dinner.
You will find a good variety of dishes and wines. The small space is elegant and the sevice is very attentive.
The Dutch Oven Fort Smith, AR
From an former filling station in Alma to it's own building in Fort Smith, the Dutch Oven is moving on up! Very good entrees and excellent cakes set this restaurant apart from the food factory crowd along Rogers Avenue. Still small and intimate the setting is much more elegant than heretofore. This is a family operation where the emphasis is on quality dining. Bring your billfold and enjoy!
Jerry Neel's Bar-B-Q Fort Smith, AR
Good barbeque and bad manners sum up my Jerry Neel dining experience. There's a good variety of barbeque menu items at decent prices. Enjoy the food and hope you avoid the owner's ire.
Varsity Sports Grill Fort Smith, AR
Good, noisy, fun foods. Set in a beautifully restored building downtown this bar/restaurant combo can be a fun place to eat. The bar and sports tuned tv's add to the noise, but you can find some good chow on the menu.
Worldburger Drive-In Fort Smith, AR
Grease burger in paradise! This is old fashioned fast food before McDonalds changed everything. Great big burgers ranging from very thin to medium thick as you add layers. Good burgers and even better french fries. Large variety of menu items with real human beings offering curb service. If non computer cooked food is what you crave this will satify your urge!
Rib Eye Steak House Fort Smith, AR
An old fashioned steak house with the best prime rib I have found in Fort Smith. Soup is usually so so but the salad and dressing are good. Baked potatoes are large and served with plenty of the good stuff.
Western Sizzlin Fort Smith, AR
If you're a food factory fan this may well rate as one of your favorites. They have a big buffet with a variety of standard fare. Ho-hum. Many loyal consumers.
Juan's Mexican Restaurant Fort Smith, AR
This long established Mexican restaurant varies more than most in my experience. On a good night I've come away wondering why I don't eat here more often and on the other nights I wish I'd saved my money. The staff is always very nice.
Village Inn Fort Smith, AR
The best of the late nite eateries in Fort Smith. Food and service vary some but it is good to very good more often than not. Management seems to care here and responds to any problem you might encounter. Varied menu at good prices.
3-PETE'S Fort Smith, AR
A family style restaurant in a newer up-scale setting. Good food, good prices, good service.
George's Restaurant Fort Smith, AR
The king of family dining in Fort Smith! The menu items vary some in quality, but there are some very good items. Homestyle french fries in astounding quantity as well as the chef and greek salads are personal favorites. Daily specials for lunch and dinner. The service is superb. A real family operation and it shows!
Calico County Restaurant Fort Smith, AR
A very pleasant informal dining experience. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some very good home cooking type entrees and veggies -- too much pepper in many of the veggies for my taste though. The grilled chicken salad is very large and a treat with one of the fresh dressings. Hugh glasses of iced tea for the summer thirst. Very good cinnamon rolls at breakfast.
Big Jake's Cattle Co Van Buren, AR
A relatively new steak house in Van Buren with good decor and food. The staff is friendly. Good variety on the menu and convenient to I-40.
C & C Catfish Van Buren, AR
Some folks favorite catfish place. Food is served family style and piping hot. Friendly staff. The catfish is very good. Just off I-40 and Hwy 59.
James At the Mill Johnson, AR
Treat youself to top quality dining for lunch or dinner in this little one horse town squeezed between Fayetteville and Springdale. The U of A architect built the Inn at the site of an old mill, his daughter married the chef, and daddy enticed them back home to Arkansas by building the restaurant. Stylish architecture and cusine with a view of a cow pasture across the road. The chef has worked in major U. S. restaurants and is now developing a new menu based on Ozark food items. Convenient access from the Fayetteville-Springdale by-pass.
