Love the food here definitely worth the money. The portions are huge
and the service is usually very good. Bring someone who is willing to
split a portions with you because Yes, they are that BIG!.

| Wildflower Bread Company | Prescott, AZ | |
|
The first morning I had the fruit & yogurt while my husband had the
sausage & egg sandwich.
The second morning we convinced the whole family to try this place.
This time I ordered the Honey-Cured Ham & Brie Frittata, I substituted
the potatoes for fruit but it was delicious. The Latte was flavorful,
perfectly balanced & HOT!
We enjoy Panera Bread Co. very much and this place will give them a run
for the money if they expand outside of the state. Otherwise we will
just have to make sure to stop in AZ when we travel.

| Haruno Japanese Sushi Bar & Grill | Springfield, MO | |

This used to be a great place to eat until they got popular. Now they are
the "Latest, Hot Spot" and the service along with the food
has suffered in porportion to the popularity.

| Sakura | Springfield, MO | |
|
Excellent food & service, everything is fresh and delicious.
This should be on your list of places to try. Bento boxes are available
for the less adventurous members of your party. Favorites are the California
& Jurassic Park Rolls. The Miso Soup is fresh & delicous too.
This place is a favorite lunch spot for locals so get there early or be
prepared to wait.

| Nearly Famous Deli & Pasta House | Springfield, MO | |

This place was awesome totally worth the stop. I say was as they had a
fire Memorial Day weekend 2006 and have not reopened yet. Check back
as we will be keeping an eye out for the grand reopening.

| Delicious Temptations | Little Rock, AR | |
|
Great place for breakfast. When we lived in the area we would gladly
drive 20+ miles for Saturday morning breakfast here. Now we always
look it up when we are in the area. Yummy breads, tasty eggs and
good coffee. A little hard to locate unless you know what you're
looking for, its hidden in the plaza behind Shorty Smalls.

| Ryans | West Plains, MO | |
|
The food is better than most average belly up to the feed trough,
all-you-can-eat type places. But, like the usual, the price
is a bit high unless you plan to out eat most Third World countries.

| Kenny's Walleye & Catfish Hse | West Plains, MO | |

This is great if you just don't want to cook or if you are travelling.
The food is plain, but good and the price can not be beat. You definitely
get your money's worth here.

| El Charro | West Plains, MO | |

Now this is a REAL Mexican restaurant. The owners are a Mexican
family. So the cook, wait staff, bus boys, host/hostess and even
the cashier are all Mexican. The food is very authentic, expect
lots of flavor, zest and zip. The price is reasonable for the amount
you are served.

| Giuseppe's Restaurant | Saint Louis, MO | |
|
This place is very good but, not quite great. The bartender can
make great wine suggestions. The food is very good but the service
can detract from the whole experience. The atmosphere (depending
on what night of the week and who the patrons are) can range from
elegant to neighborhood local dinner place. I would strongly
recommend reservations especially on the weekends, the wait
can be interminable.

| 1 Pico Restaurant | Santa Monica, CA | |
|
We went for brunch and for 4 people it was over $140.
Unless you like to pay top dollar for the view the food is okay,
but hardly worth the outrageous check. Do yourself a favor grab
some truly wonderful food and go sit on the end of the pier.
The maitre'd was rude and a tad too pretentious for our simple
tastes.
The waiter we got made up for almost everything. The food was delicious,
but the coffee was horrid (had tea instead) the o.j. was fresh
and the bread soft. Two of us had the Crab Benedict with Asparagus.
It was a yummy taste adventure. When I asked for orange marmalade,
I was informed the restaurant did not carry it. Our waiter was
able to procure two very small jars "from room service".
All in all I would only recommend going there if you have some serious
cash to lay down or you truly wish to impress your dining companions
with how much money you can spend.

| West Allen Grill | Wentzville, MO | |
|
Great place to go for good food. The portions are good for the moeny
spent. I usually can not finish all they serve. The Cobb Salad
is the best ever. They also have a fair breakfast buffet on Sundays
but the menu is the best.

| Anderson's Restaurant | Buellton, CA | |
|
This place is a California tradition. The travelers bowl is the
absolute best buy for the money. The bread is fresh and tasty.
The service is friendly and on time. We always stop there when
we are in the area. Totally worth the trip and the money.

| Chez Jay Restaurant | Santa Monica, CA | |
|
My only experience with this place is lunch but I grew up in the
neighborhood and loved going here. My first taste of Shrimp Louie
was in this place. Food is always fresh and tasty.

| Polly's Pies | Santa Monica, CA | |
|
Another tradtion. Wednesday night after church this place is
filled/packed with people coming to have coffee and a slice of
divine pie.
|
||
| Tommy's Original World Famous | Santa Monica, CA | |
|
This is the place where they invented heartburn. But it is ooooooo
so good. Chili on the burgers, chili on the fries all served up
with a side of sweet hot cherry peppers or if you are brave jalapenos.
MMMMMMMMMMMMM makes my mouth water. Definitely not your fancy
LA cuisine. This is a local favorite.

| Rich & Charlie's | Eureka, MO | |
|
Excellent food! Don't let the outside fool you this is a well kept
secret. The dress is casual to business casual. The food is absolutely
5 star. The service is impeccable. All this and a reasonable price
you can see why the locals want to keep it a secret. Who wants all
them city folk crowding the place up. Well worth the 2+ hour drive.

||
| Big Boys Restaurant | Wright City, MO | |
|
This is the place to avoid. Some of the locals (mostly elderly)
look on this place as an instituion. It should be, for people whose
taste is all in their mouth. There is nothing appetizing about
the menu much less the actual food served at the table. If you want
to risk heart attack or possible poisoning there is always the
"buffet".
Save yourself the acid indigestion and the trip, leave this place
to the locals.

| Ruiz Castillo Mexican Rstrnts | Wright City, MO | |
|
Excellent authentic Mexican food. This is NOT Taco Bell (thank
GOD).
The food is great and so is the service. Definitely something
to be experienced.
