| Hops Restaurant Bar and Brewery | Fort Myers, FL | |
|
I recently went to Hops after a long absense and the food was definately
better than the last time. A good selection of sandwiches, fresh
fish and steak and chops. Try their brewed beers. A good value,
be prepared for a wait Dec.-April in season.

| Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie | Nashville, TN | |
|
The food is not the reason to visit this restaurant. The blues
are, and both times I was there, the music was excellent! The best
time is go is around 830p, get some quick dinner, which is new orleans
themed, gambo, is good, and very spicy! There is a small cover
during the week, I'm sure more on the weekends. Very smokey. A
fun place.

| Travelers Diner | Dover, NJ | |
|
I grew up in the town, so I have been going to Travelers Diner since
I was little. A classic diner, with a good choice of food, very
popular all hours of the day. I live in Fla. now, but when visiting
relatives, always make it a point to eat there, I love their onion
rings!

| Andover Inn | Andover, NJ | |
|
The Andover Inn is a very crowded and smokey restaurant/lounge
that I wouldn't recommend. Large steaks if you into that sort
of thing, since I don't eat red meat, there weren't too many other
choices.

| Andover Diner | Newton, NJ | |
|
The Andover diner is not a diner to seek out. After the renovation,
they squeezed too many tables and booths in, very cramped, and
the food is just average. If you want to try a real dinner in the
area, one that has been there since the 1950's, go to Travelers
in Dover NJ.

| F Parker Reidy's | Portland, ME | |
|
A well known restaurant in Portland known for steak, but a limited
menu in seafood. Interesting atmosphere in an old bank building.
Try the clam chowder, excellent!

| Street & Co | Portland, ME | |
|
Located in a alley in the historic old section of Portland, Street
and Co. has excellent fresh seafood. Very small, a former warehouse,
reservations a must. Try the steamed mussels, very good, not
farm raised.

||
| J's Oyster | Portland, ME | |
|
J's Oyster is basically a bar, very smoky, with a good choice of
steamed shellfish, lobster and soups. A good place for lunch
after a boat trip, lots of regulars, I wouldn't suggest it in the
evenings, can have a rough crowd. The restaurant needs a makeover.

| University Grill | Fort Myers, FL | |
|
University Grill, the same owners as the Pawn Broker, has a good
mix of seafood, meats, steaks, and great salads in a atmosphere
much like a university club. A young, professional crowd, with
no reservation policy, a sometimes long wait, excellent martinis.
Try the outdoor patio if the weather is good. Very consistent
in the number of times I've been there.

| Sticky Fingers Restaurant | Charleston, SC | |
|
the ribs and choices of sandwiches were good at a reasonable price.
Good atmosphere in an historic building in the heart of the old
district. Restaurant type ribs/southern.

| Magnolia's | Charleston, SC | |
|
Magnolia's is a wonderful, romantic restaurant in Charleston
known for the very best in low country cuisine. Reservations
are a must, it was very busy the night I was there. It is definately
not touristy, I always go to recommended restaurants where local
business people go, Magnolia's is just such a place. Very good
crab cakes and other seafood, excellent chocolate cheesecake.
Service on par with fine NYC restaurants. A must place to take
someone to impress!

| Pancake Pantry | Nashville, TN | |
|
The Pancake Pantry is a great place in a nice area near Vanderbilt
U, go there midweek, weekends are hard to get in. Good selection
of pancakes and breakfast selections, the buckwheat were very
good. It's a fun place to "people watch", you can see alot of record
executives and country stars looking for a record deal eating
there. I read about in Travel and Leisure, it is supposed to be
Garth Brooks favorite when he's in Nashville for breakfast.

| Sunset Grill | Nashville, TN | |
|
The Sunset Grill was an excellent choice in a nice area near Vanderbilt
U. A good selection of seafood, chicken and steaks, good deserts
and very good service. Alot of local from the university and record
companies dine there, it was a recommended restaurant from Emily
lou Harris. Excellent wine list.

||
| Nascar Cafe | Nashville, TN | |
|
A good place to stop if you are doing the "tourist" thing, and espically
if you are a Nascar fan. Like all theme sports restaurants, the
food is just so-so, some real good race car displays and interactive
games. It's a good place for families touring downtown Nashville,
all not at all representative of what Nashville is all about.

| Galyn's Galley Restaurant | Bar Harbor, ME | |
|
Gayln's is a good restaurant near the waterfront in Bar Harbor
that I have been to at least 3 times in the past 10 years, it is very
consistent. A good choice of local seafood, lobster and steaks.

||
| George's Restaurant | Bar Harbor, ME | |
|
George's is a very popular restaurant for the locals and tourist
who want an upscale dining experience. Not on the main drag, behind
a bank, near the Bar Harbour Inn. Open only 6 months of the year,
in a quaint old house with a fireplace, dress is casual. The food
a good mix of seafood, steaks, in french presentation. It may
be seen as too expensive for some, but well worth a trip, I really
enjoyed our meal there.
