| Stones Bones | Portage, IN | |
|
Succulent steaks and robust ribs -- that's the menu at this cozy
restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere. It's a little more pricey
than most places in Portage, but the food is definitely worth
it.

| Miller Pizza Co | Gary, IN | |
|
The pizza at this homey restaurant, with a little train that runs
through it, is thick and gooey. They use plenty of ingredients,
and it's not greasy. The staff is friendly and helpful, and responds
quickly. This is a great place to eat.

| Al's Diner | Valparaiso, IN | |
|
If you like the '50s and the old-time diner atmosphere, this is
the place for you! It's bright, cheery and there's plenty of food
to choose. Lots of sandwiches, too. This is a fun place to eat.

| Big Wheel Restaurant | Valparaiso, IN | |
|
This small-town restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, friendly
staff and a big menu. The fish is exceptional.

||
| Greek's Pizzeria-Michael's | Valparaiso, IN | |
|
Big, juicy pizzas, and fresh salads, make this a wonderful place
to bring friends for a night out. Nice atmosphere -- plenty of
chat and music (jukebox). Relaxing place to eat hearty.

||
| Round the Clock Restaurant | Valparaiso, IN | |
|
I've eaten here several times, and haven't been too thrilled
with the service. They seem like they have other things on their
mind than waiting on customers. Food's not bad, but there are
better places to eat in town.
|
||
| Schoop's Hamburgers | Saint John, IN | |
|
There are about six Schoops restaurants (chain) in the area,
and this is one of the newer ones. Food is good -- cheeseburgers,
grilled cheese, green river drinks, large basket of fries. Fun
place to take the family.

| Ram's Horn Cafe | Worland, WY | |
|
Nice little small-town cafe on Worland's main street. Clean,
with good food. Quick service. It's a good place to take the family
for a Sunday afternoon meal, too.
|
||
| Ranchito Cafe | Worland, WY | |
|
Great Mexican food! Wait staff was very attentive. We had burritos
and fajitas, and they were hot and tasty. Nice Mexican look to
the place, and you can eat outside on nice days.
|
||
| Tom & Jerry's Steakhouse | Worland, WY | |
|
For fancier dining in Worland, here's a nice place. More pricey
than most restaurants in town, but the steak is definitely worth
it. Tasty. This place features the well-known steak dinner --
potato, thick loaf of bread, salad. Great for a cozy dinner for
two.

| K L Barbecue | Hopewell, VA | |
|
Everyone in town raves about this place's barbecue, and for good
reason. Sandwiches are great!!!! Includes fries, cole slaw.
The works. Nice open atmosphere. Good place for lunch, especially.
|
||
| Splash Seafood Restaurant | Hopewell, VA | |
|
This is a sports bar, so if you don't like the tv playing games in
the background, don't come here. If you like good food -- especially
seafood -- visit!!! The shrimp is great, the bread is great, the
other food is great. The place is cozy and easy to find. Has a good
name in town, too.

| China Pearl | Knoxville, TN | |
|
The building isn't anything special (an old Wendy's), but the
service and food here are. Big portions of tasty, hot Asian specialties.
Snow peas and shrimp, chicken, you name it, they've got it. The
wait staff is friendly and quick to respond. This is kind of a new
restaurant, but the following is beginning to build. We enjoyed
it.
|
||
| Monterrey Mexican Restaurant | Knoxville, TN | |
|
Imagine that you've stepped into Mexico, and that's what it's
like here. Mood music, authentic decorations. This is a very
popular place, especially at lunch. The food is great -- fajitas
are tasty (my favorite). Prices are good, and they have lunch
specials that are smaller portions at lower prices. You'll enjoy
it here.
|
||
| Slice of Life Cafe | Knoxville, TN | |
|
Here's a great little bakery with fantastic lunchtime sandwiches.
You get the sandwich, chips and even a cookie in your meal! It's
not a very big place, but it's clean and the staff is helpful. We
ate lunch here a lot.
|
||
| Odyssey Restaurant | Merrillville, IN | |
|
Greek restaurant, featuring Greek favorites. Lemon rice soup
is superb and so is the bread. There's a big choice of food here,
and I like most of it! Try the flaming cheese. It's great. Family
restaurant or a place to chat with friends. Warm, friendly atmosphere.
|
||
| King Gyros | Valparaiso, IN | |
|
Not a fancy place, but if you like gyros, this is the place to go.
The meat is tender and hot, the fries are perfect, and there's
much more on the menu if you want something else. Great place to
bring the kids.
|
||
| Strongbow Inn Restaurant | Valparaiso, IN | |
|
Turkey, turkey, turkey. Need I say more? How do you like your turkey?
You can get it any way you want it here. Turkey is the specialty.
And it's really good, and comes with plenty of side dishes. More
upscale dining here, so you might not want to bring the big family.
But it's a nice place to eat. Other dishes include seafood and
steaks. Take your significant other here, for sure, for birthday
or anniversary.

||
| Pantheon Restaurant | Portage, IN | |
|
Greek restaurant. Food's ok here, but the service is lousy. The
owners have too few people working for the number of customers.
Don't expect quick service.
|
||
| Zel's | East Chicago, IN | |
|
The roast beef is what makes this place a favorite in the area.
Big sandwiches covered with roast beef, and you can get all kinds
of side dishes. There's not a lot of space to sit here, but who cares?
The shakes are great, too.
