Very over-rated and the food was expensive for the selection
and type. BTW I had a reservation and still waited 30 minutes to
be seated. Skip this one?..

| Pinky's Pizza Parlor | Walnut Creek, CA | |
|
A local hang out and they cater to regulars. The pizza was good
for the price and it was delivered quickly. There is better pizza
in the area however this place will do in a pinch.

| Spiedini Northern Italian Ristorante | Walnut Creek, CA | |
|
Yes it has been voted the best restaurant in Contra Costa for five
years, what a sad state of affairs. The food looks better than
it tastes and the service is good but pretentious. There is an
air when entering the restaurant of catering to the elite in the
area, and it can get very loud both the noise level and the air.
Definitely nothing to write home about.

| P.f. Chang's | Walnut Creek, CA | |

A new wave California Chinese restaurant, what that all about?
Expensive, noisy with long waits, good service and the food is
Californicated???.

| Copper Skillet | Walnut Creek, CA | |
|
Good honest food at good prices. The menu is varied for breakfast,
lunch and dinner with the accent on breakfast during the day.
Check this one out..

| Crogan's Bar & Grill | Walnut Creek, CA | |
|
This place used to be good with a varied ?Cajun? menu; they changed
hands and went to a more ?bar? food menu. The burgers are good and
so is the rest of the bar food, but a far cry from what it once was?

| Andiamo | Alviso, CA | |
|
Has been taken over by the owner of the most popular Mexican place
in town. Their Mexican and Italian food is good and service is
very good. While people are waiting in line at Maria Elena’s,
you can go here, get a table and the have the same food that’s served
at Maria Elena’s or good Italian.

| Maria Elena's | Alviso, CA | |

Good down home Mexican food with good service. This place very
crowded during the lunch hour.

| Marina Seafood Grotto | Alviso, CA | |

I thought I was taking my life into my hands when I went into this
place. It smelled (not the food, the restaurant) was dark and
their claims to fame were Sand Dabs. The person I was with car was
broken into while we were in having lunch. Makes you wonder whether
you need to go armed to have lunch here. Unless you’re packing
heat I would avoid this place.

| Vahl's Club | Alviso, CA | |
|
On a whim we went into this place for lunch. My impression is it
was probably very popular in the 50’s and most of the waitresses
were still there. The food was mediocre at best and the service
was slow. You can skip this one…….

| Guaymas | Belvedere Tiburon, CA | |
|
Very pretentious, fancy, upscale, crowded, slow pace with great
views and sort of Mexican is how I would describe Guaymas. The
food is fresh, and service is good but Guaymas can’t be compared
to Tex-Mex or Mexican restaurants since it wants to be more upscale….

| Sam's Anchor Cafe | Belvedere Tiburon, CA | |
|
Nothing fancy, no frills food and service. Great place to have
coffee, lunch or Sunday Brunch.

||
| Elephant Bar | Fremont, CA | |
|
I wish I knew what the fascination with this place was. Long waits,
crowded, and fried bar food awaits those that wish to dine here.
After 1 to 2 hours and you’ve been seated service is good….

| Frankie, Johnny, & Luigi Too! | Dublin, CA | |
|
Interesting place, it looks like Italian food but when you taste
it, it taste like a picture of Italian food. I’m not sure how with
so much to work with they come up with food so bland. Long wait for
a table and good service.

| Romano's Macaroni Grill | Dublin, CA | |

Good middle of the road food with good service. They have heart
smart selections on the menu. Can be noisy at times.

| Joe's Crab Shack | Austin, TX | |
|
I was in Austin recently and couldn?t help but go in, I mean after
all someplace called Joe?s Crab Shack. Anyway the food was OK,
not great and the service was very good. Fun place?.

| Curra's Grill | Austin, TX | |
|
This place was actually not bad for Tex-Mex. I got an honest meal
and at good price with excellent service. It is very popular but
we only waited for 10 minutes during peak dinnertime.
|
||
| Z Tejas Grill | Austin, TX | |
|
This place struck me as a ?new wave? tex-mex place. The food definitely
wasn?t anything to write home about, the service was mediocre
to poor and overall it was very loud. You can skip this one?.

| Patrick David's | Danville, CA | |
|
Great food preparation, and the dishes were creative; the problem
is the main course is the size of a small appetizer. I had to go Burger
King after dinner to fill up. Service is good to very good.

| Uptown Cafe | Danville, CA | |
|
Went back to this place recently and it really hasn’t changed
from my last review except you can now sit outside and be seen while
you’re enjoying the bland menu….
