| The Ground Round Resturant | Scranton, PA | |
|
Good place to stop before heading to the movies across the street.
They have a deal going where if you eat dinner there, you can get
discounted tickets for the shows. There's a wide variety of appetizers
and sandwiches, and the broccoli and cheese soup is excellent.

| Whistles | Scranton, PA | |
|
Whistles is a family restaurant/sports bar. There's a lot of
TVs, and a big game room in the back. The food is decent, nothing
too special, but the atmosphere is fun. On WWF pay-per-view nights,
show up early to stake out one of the booths with a televison.

| The Chicken Coop | Wilkes Barre, PA | |
|
Like other reviewers said, sometimes there is a bit of a wait,
but it is worth it for the wings. They've been the winners at a local
competition, "Wings over Montage, " for several years running.

| Inn of the Abingtons | Dalton, PA | |
|
The food is decent. The big plus of the Inn of the Abingtons is it's
accomodations and catering for parties. I've been to three or
four parties there, all of which were well handled and efficient.
The prices are reasonable, and the service is good.

| Grotto Pizza | Harveys Lake, PA | |
|
This place has excellent pizza. It's clean and the service is
good, and it also has an extensive menu in addition to the pizza.
There is also a Grotto Pizza outside the Wyoming Valley mall,
and one inside the foodcourt of the Steamtown Mall.

| Union Grill | Pittsburgh, PA | |
|
Excellent food, huge portions. Especially liked the meatloaf.
Very loud, and very crowded. The waiting list was handled efficiently,
but there isn't any place for people -on- the list to wait comfortably.
Once sat, the service was not too great. However, like I said,
the food was excellent.

| Shooky's Delicatessen | Scranton, PA | |
|
Conveniently located near the Medical Arts building in Scranton,
right in the heart of the downtown area. Typical deli, clean,
quick service. Potato pancakes are a speciality.

||
| Roma Pizza & Italian Rstrnt | Scranton, PA | |
|
Many Italian specialities, reasonable prices. Located in the
mall food court. It's previously been located outside the mall,
and also inside, at one point. The pizza is fantastic. Large slices,
crunchy crust, and sweet sauce.

||
| Tink's | Scranton, PA | |
|
Very low class. A decent entertainment bar, but nothing more.
Tink's was recently shut down for fire violations druing an LFO
concert, and it's future is uncertain. It's not very clean, and
it's just a typical entertainment-type bar.

| Gabe's Diner | Scranton, PA | |
|
Featured in a book about diners, and has an interesting history.
As far as food and service go, they're average. but reasonably
priced for the quality. Not too clean, but a typical diner.

Nothing too special here. Pizza place, w/ other Italian specialties...
slow service, not too clean.
|
||
| Jim Dandy's | Clarks Summit, PA | |
|
Everything is good here. A bit dim, a bit smoky, but great entertainment.
Thursday is Swing Night, lots of fun
|
||
| John K's Pub | Clarks Summit, PA | |
|
Food isn't great, but filled w/ regulars, a popular place for
after work drinks and getting together with friends. Also popular
after AH football games.
|
||
| Sojourner the Inn-Nichols Vlg | Clarks Summit, PA | |
|
A bit pricey, but nice. Attatched to a hotel, so sometimes it can
be crowded. Popular for Sunday brunch. Dinner menu isn't too
extensive

| Cooper's Seafood House | Scranton, PA | |
|
Excellent if you have the money and like seafood.
Shaped like a BOAT! With PIRATES! |
||
| Glider Restaurant | Scranton, PA | |

The BEST diner around. Great atmoshpere with spinny stools.
I like that. Wonderful service, friendly people.

Extensive menu, everything cooked perfectly, fajitas definitely
something to try.
|

Very convenient to the new Cinemark theater. In fact, pretty
much the only convenient restaurant.
|
||

Good place for summer. Ice cream, bowling, mini golf, decent
food, night club with a teen night.
