Having Lived in Spartanburg until 1983, I have been eating at The Beacon Drive in since I was a child.I have seen it grow from a small building then to the much larger building that is in now over the years. It was a childhood treat whenever my parents took us there and I visit the Beacon several times each time I am home. I can say without a doubt that the food was excellent when I was young and has not changed in thirty years. Recently, The Beacon came under new ownership and many were concerned about the quality of the food changing.But the food and the price remained excellent.I relate this to the fact that they kept the same workers that had been there all those years.I consider The Beacon Drive In too be the best restaurant in South Carolina.

The Bantam chef is known for it's Eagleburger, named after the Chesnee High Football Team, the Eagles and it and the other selections are great. And the unique setting is one of a kind.
