Md Plucker's Wing Factory & Grill Dallas, TX
The best wings that I've ever tasted. Several flavors. Huge baked potatoes. Lots of tv screens with every game going. But go for food - it is outstanding. God Bless America !
Go Fish Addison, TX
Outstanding new addition to the bevy of restaurants on Belt Line Road. Great selection and creativity. Service is top quality. If you like fish, try this one ! Happy Trails and God Bless America.
Baker Bros. American Deli Addison, TX
Very good sandwich stop for a quick meal. If you need to save time, try this one. Happy Trails and God Bless America.
Sabatino's Sausage Co. Dallas, TX
If you like Italian then try this one. The sausage is made on-site and is low fat ! Great pasta and other dishes. They also offer a Sunday brunch. I love Italian and this is one of my new stops. Happy Trails and God Bless America !
Lonesome Dove Western Bistro Fort Worth, TX
Upscale dining at the stockyards with an old west atmosphere ? That's right. Great food, outstanding service. Many exotic offerings such as elk and boar. This is a keeper ! Happy Trails and God Bless America.
Gershwin's Restaurant Dallas, TX
The food was wonderful but the waiter acted like we were bothering him. If you want excellent sea food, this is the place to go but don't expect T.L.C. service. Happy Trails & God Bless America.
Steak 'n Shake Dallas, TX
There are several locations throughout the Metroplex but we tried the one behind Valley View Mall. Great burgers made of ground steak. They're small but quite tastey. The shakes are old fashioned - thick and rich in a number of flavors. If you're looking at fast food but with a little different twist, try this one. For more info go to www.steaknshake.com. Happy Trails & God Bless America !
Cafe Brazil Carrollton, TX
Nice setting just off of the Bush Turnpike in Carrollton. We enjoyed the steak quesadillas. Give it a try. Happy Trails & God Bless America.
Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse Richardson, TX
If you enjoy Outback Steakhouses then you should really like this one. Wider selection of seafood which include shrimp and lobster. Steaks are on a par with Outback. Some of the offerings have a southwestern flare. Worth a try. Happy Trails & God Bless America.
Frisco Seafood & Grill Frisco, TX
This one is located outside of Stonebrier Mall facing Preston Road. It has only been open for a month and shows its growing pains which included slow service. The food was good, the chowder was very good. Give it a try. Happy Trails & God Bless America.
Charcoal Oven Oklahoma City, OK
1950's throwback setting with good, not great, burgers. Service is inconsistent but it's worth a try. Happy Trails & God Bless America.
El Mirador Mexican Food San Antonio, TX
Nice old spot for good Mexican food especially if you've had enough of the crowds at the Riverwalk. Try the Goat Tacos - yes, I know what you're thinking but they are outstanding. Have fun in San Antonio ! Happy Trails & God Bless America !
Tom & Jerry's Steak & Fish Oklahoma City, OK
If you enjoy The Metro or The Coach House then this is worth a try. It's small and located on the south side of 23rd Street near the OCU campus. Our visit was very positive. Nice menu selections, full bar, solid service. Good selection of steaks, seafood, and pasta. Try the Caesar Salad, different than the usual but good. Desserts were a little disappointing but overall, it's a keeper. Happt Trails and God Bless America,
The Keller in the Kastle Oklahoma City, OK
Authentic German food in a European setting. Nice selection of German beers and wines. Great service. Located on the right hand side of MacArthur just north of Reno. Also open for lunch. Worth a try = Happy Trails - God Bless America !
La Baguette Bistro & Bakery Oklahoma City, OK
Very good selections of offerings that are not so common in Oklahoma City. The roast duck was good and worth a try if you enjoy such. Nice wine list and pastries. Good lunch menu. If you've dined at The Metro, try this one and compare the food. Happy Trails and God Bless America.
The French Room Dallas, TX
This is the nationally known restaurant located on the main floor inside the historic Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas. It lives up to everything that we had ever heard or read. The service, the food, and the setting are all five big stars ***** ! It is expensive but for a very special occasion (we celebrated our 30th anniversary there) there is none better. Happy Trails and God Bless America.
Texadelphia Richardson, TX
Very good sandwich spot with several versions of the cheesesteak using both beef or chicken. Also serves burgers, hoagies, and smoked turkey. Give this one a try at the corner of Coit and Campbell. Happy Trails and God Bless America !
P.f. Chang's China Bistro Dallas, TX
Forget about the 'Super Buffet' places because after you stop here, you may not go back. This is traditional Chinese with a mix of new Asian cuisine. The setting, food, and service were outstanding. Yes, you will pay a little more than the old buffet but this is quality. Give this one a try ! Happy Trails and God Bless America !
Peking Duck Dallas, TX
For the same money ? Go east on Trinity Mills for about a mile until you get to the Expressway and go to P.F. Chang's (5 Stars). Same prices - better food - better service. Happy Trails and God Bless America !
Van's Pig Stand Shawnee, OK
Van's has taken over the former T.J. Charbroiler's location. It doesn't feature a Charcoal Room like the original spot on Highland Street. In fact, the food is just a little bit better at the old place but this one is closer to Interstate 40. Give it a try. Happy Trails and Good Bless America !
