Decent food, good prices, not terribly memorable (though that describes just about every restaurant I've tried in St. Ignace). And, of course, friendly people. Try the pasties!

DEFINITELY order the Bananas Foster or Flaming Peaches for dessert! When in season, feast on sumptuous morrel mushrooms. Everything was GREAT--definitely worth the trip across the bridge if you're in the UP.

GREAT food, and I agree with the previous reviewer about the service. I had one very bad service-related experience there, but generally the staff are very friendly. It's worth a drive from Ann Arbor or surrounding 'burbs.

Good food and lots of it! Years ago there was an incident where either Zehnder's or Bavarian Inn was caught redistributing uneaten chicken that had been served to a table, but that was long ago. Lots of side dishes. Go prepared to be stuffed!

Years ago, either Bavarian Inn or Zehnder's was caught redistributing chicken that had already been served to a table but not eaten. But these days, I doubt that's happening. The chicken and side dishes are comparable to Bavarian Inn, but the management and wait staff aren't quite as friendly.

THE BEST peanut butter pie ever, and the vegetarian entrees (especially the pasta with artichoke hearts dish) are unforgettable.

It's a dining experience! Whether you're vegetarian or meat-eating, you'll have an amazing meal. Some of the dishes are a little too salty, but I just eat less of those.

Beware the salt in the deep dish pizza! I suggest eating in at the downtown location: everything is good, the setting is nice.

Cheap eats! Excellent filafels!! You can walk out with a huge filafel sandwich for only about $3. The best in town.

It's a chain, so it's rather predictable. I've gotten good service there, and the food is decent.

Expect to shed some cash here--it's not cheap! But it's one of the best special occasion eateries in town. It's situated in a large old house that is well decorated for sort of a historical posh feel. I've been thrilled with the food there!

I'm a vegetarian, and *I'm* even pleased with what I can get there! It definitely lives up to its name: if you don't want a hot dog (or tofu dog), don't go! Very limited seating.

It's a vegetarian place, so don't go expecting to get anything meaty. Ingredients are fresh and often organic, dishes are inventive, and selection is wide. Join your vegetarian friends for a vegetarian dream come true!

The dishes are well prepared, but pretty predictably meat-and-potato and not entirely inventive. It's an Ann Arbor big deal, but I don't understand why.
