Tu Your Door Pizza Marion, IN
Probably the second worst pizza in Grant County. They Add a delivery charge to the bill, most pizza places don't. Rude on the phone, they act like your an annoyance. Food is usually warm, not hot and over priced for what you get. Most frozen pizzas are better. You usually can't even tell what kind of meat was used, as it all looks and tastes the same. Your better off eating at McDonalds or Taco Bell.
La Charreada Mexican Restrnt Marion, IN
By far the BEST restaurant in Marion. Exceptional food, Great atmosphere, and large portions. To provide some of its uniqueness, employees are all of mexican descent. Food is served fast, and is always served HOT. Refills on homemade chips and homemade Salsa are free as are refills on drinks. Do anyone who enjoys great food a favor and recommend this place highly!
Richards Family Restaurant Marion, IN
About as close as you can come to being authentic. Some corners have been cut over the years(Real Veal has been replaced by a preformed Veal/beef Patty, and sauces bear a stong similarity to Ragu with sugar added). Portions are still large, and the atmosphere is still bistro in style. Friendly service and plenty of extras, like vegetable plate and baskets of garlic bread and cheese, make it definitly worth the stop. A fair wine selection too, helps make the overall ambiance complete. I just wish they were a little more traditional in thier tastes.
Rosies Little Italy Marion, IN
Over the years Price and service, as well as atmosphere have kept Rosies a popular legend in the Grant co Area. Unfortunatly somethings are sacrificed in order to maintain price and service. Quality and authenticity were the first to go. Over the years homemade sauces have been "Ragu"ed with the addition of sugar to them (in a half hearted attempt to keep the homemade idea), real veal has been replaced by "ONCOR" style preformed beef/veal patties. The Lasagne has also lost some of its originality to compensate price. Still with the Vegetable plate and garlic bread basket and giant salads served with the meals, it was not a "bad" experience. The Entrees are palatable and pass for italian. The Pizza are Very good. With a nice selection of wines and a fully capable bar the overall experience was pleasant. Though I do wish the would increase the prices and go back to authenticity, as most people do not mind paying for quality, its still a pleasant experience.
