| Coleman's Drive In | Okmulgee, OK | |
|
Cleanliness is definitely not their forte! The hamburgers are
ok but very greasy. The french fries are very greasy as well. The
staff are nice but they do not believe in keeping a clean restaurant.
Four legged little creatures tried to take my burger away- I was
mortified. I would rather spend a little more money and go get
a good burger at a clean restaurant. The parking lot is always
full but I don't really know why. 409 does wonders and so does a
little pesticide.

| Big Red Drive In Restaurant | Park Hill, OK | |
|
This place is always packed full. It is right off of Hwy 82 headed
for Lake Tenkiller. This little joint is a great eating spot.
I love it since they serve a hot loaf of bread with your meals. Good
ole down home meals very reasonable with excellent desserts.
Their chicken fry is really good. There is a school nearby and
the little community of Keyes. You can visit Jimmy Houston Outdoors
Store just down the road a piece. Very beautiful drive all through
this area. You can take the road up to Carter's Landing to a little
park on Tenkiller, or go up a ways further to Elk Creek Resort and
Lodge. Many possibilities in this country. If you haven't been
through this area it is definitely worth the drive. Stop in at
Big Red's and grab some grub on the way.

| Charlie's Fried Chicken | Webbers Falls, OK | |
|
The thing that this place has going for it is Interstate 40. If
you are on a road trip and hungry Charlie's Fried Chicken is one
of the only actual food places that you can sit down at and eat a
meal for a few miles. The chicken is good and the staff is friendly.
The chicken I got was not completely done but they made good on
it. They try to please their customers within reason so they are
pretty good in my eyes. My family likes them because they have
places to sit and relax and get away from the car ride for a while.

| Polo's Mexican Restaurant | Seminole, OK | |
|
My better half loves this place. I don't agree with him. The food
is hot when given to you but the taste of the meat is bland. There
seems to be just hamburger meat in the tacos and no seasoning.
I got the taco platter and was not impressed. He got the chile relleno
and loved it. They serve big portions and the staff is very helpful
and courteous. I just do not care for the taste of the food. Will
I go back? Yes, honey likes this place so I will try something that
does not involve tacos, maybe nachos for me next time. The neat
thing is that it is situated at the end of main street in Seminole
just a block south of Wall's Discount Store, so it is very easy
to find.

| Abuelita's Mexican Restaurant | Shawnee, OK | |
|
Talk about authentic mexican food. Abuelita's is definitely
the place to go. I would rather go there than go to OKC to eat mexican.
The service is fantastic. It is nestled in the back of the shopping
center and it used to be Kentucky Fried Chicken some years back.
My sweetheart took me here as a surprise and boy was I surprised.
I absolutely love this place. I will order anything this place
has just to try it. This reminds me of my trip to Mexico and the food
there, very much the real thing. The chile relleno is wonderful
and such a huge portion. The nacho's are great too. Your glass
doesn't stay empty long before it is refilled either. For two
we ate for less than 15.00 so I was doubly impressed. The atmosphere
is ok but it is the food I am after. They are trying to renovate you
can tell when you visit. Definitely try their sopiapilla's they
are awesome! The whole place is awesome!!! My hat is off to you
Abuelita's!!!!

| Cracker Barrel Old Country Store | Shawnee, OK | |
|
The service could be a little bit better. This place is heavily
packed with people pretty much all the time. The desserts are
the best. The entrees are nothing more than you make at home nothing
fancy but the price per entree is a little high as far as I am concerned.
But it is in a good location, right next to Lowe's with a convenience
store within a block and across interstate 40 is Shawnee Mall
with Wal-Mart and a theater.

| La Roca Mexican Restaurant | Shawnee, OK | |
|
My boyfriend took me to the place twice wanting to take me someplace
special. He was about to take me a third time when I had to just tell
him outright that I knew that he liked it but I didn't! The first
time we went they were so unprepared for customers it was not even
funny! We asked for more tea and finally had to get our own after
20 minutes. We asked for the customary relish that they serve
you and they said that they were trying to cut it all up and it would
be ready in an hour. An hour! We had already been there for 30 minutes.
This happened at 11:40 am so the restaurant had been opened for
40 minutes. They were so unprepared. I do not take to incompetence
very well at all. So needless to say I had it up to my eyeballs with
incompetence on both trips. They got the bill wrong, the food
wrong and did not take our order for about 30 minutes the second
trip. Our food took a very long time to get and was cold when we got
it and they were not even busy there were three families trying
to dine and that include us. I will never patronize there again.
Abuelita's is the place to go just about a mile or two from LaRoca
and worth the drive!!!

| Garfield's Restaurant | Shawnee, OK | |
|
This Garfield's has the best Perfect Margarita's around. The
service is great and the cheese covered fries are very good. I
like the fiesta dip the best. The atmosphere is relaxed and the
food is good. I certainly had a better experience than the other
guy and I thought the restaurant was great. I have eaten at this
Garfield's a number of times and never had bad luck yet. My kids
love eating here. They love to draw on the tablecloth with the
crayons that the waitress gives them. I think it is worth going
to especially if you are planning on catching a movie in the mall
or just an evening out.

| Eskimo Joe's Restaurant | Stillwater, OK | |
|
Try their own spicy french fries. I don't know what spices they
put on the fries but they are the best around. I have never had french
fries like these ever. I think they have their own patent. If they
don't they ought to. The hamburgers are very good and juicy but
the fries are the absolute best. This is a college hot spot so it
is loud. A very fun place to go! Don't forget to try those fries!

||
| Bandido Restaurant | Tahlequah, OK | |
|
This is a neat little restaurant. Really close to shopping and
movies. The food is pretty close to authentic the chips are homemade.
They take some time making their food look good and taste good.
The mexican platter is a sure pleaser with big portions. The margarita's
are good too. The kiddo's loved this little place and wanted to
go back. The building doesn't look like much but the food and service
are good. We will go back again. The quesadilla's are great!
|
||
| Del Rancho Restaurant | Tahlequah, OK | |
|
Excellent! The best chicken fried steak sandwich around hands
down! The meat extends over the bun and it is very tender. I will
not buy a chicken fried steak anyplace else! The place is always
packed with cars, the prices are cheap for the amount of food you
get, and the service is great! Definitely a keeper!
|
||
| Del Rancho Restaurant | Cookson, OK | |
|
This particular Del Rancho is actually better than the one in
Talequah and that one is great! The chicken fried steak dinner
with french fries and dinner roll is too much for one person to
eat. The huge portions urge you to try to eat it all but leaving
you with a doggie bag from being too stuffed to eat anymore. I absolutely
love this place! If you take the pleasant drive from Sixkiller's
intersection on hwy 69 to hwy 82 and head to Cookson you will be
there in no time. For an out in the middle of nowhere restaurant
this one sure is packed and there is no wondering why once you eat
there. People do drive from miles around to eat here. I love the
drive on 82 it winds around the back of Tenkiller and down to Gore
to Interstate 40 so you can come in from either direction. It is
worth your drive.

| Old-Tyme Diner & Grocery | Holdenville, OK | |
|
Around this area we call this place June's. The locals enjoy this
little place. You can fill up with gas, get milk, and sit down for
a meal all in one place. The food is good but you have to wait for
it. It is not the place to go if you are in a hurry. I would suggest
Adair's drive-in for that which is very very good. But if you don't
mind the wait then put your feet up and sit a spell at June's Old
Tyme Diner. If you are driving in on Hwy 48 you will turn west at
the stop sign by the railroad tracks and go west for two blocks.
I like June's but I prefer Adair's which is right on Hwy 48 one block
south of First United Bank.

| Applebee's | Murfreesboro, TN | |
|
This is the best place to have lunch or supper in Murfreesboro.
We stayed one week there and ate at Applebee's 5 of the 7 days it
was so good. The service is great, ask for Chris or Bubbles they
will make sure that you get good service. The night manager was
David and he has a great personality and he sees that you get good
service. I had ribs a couple of times because they fall off the
bone they are finger lickin good. I also had the salmon which they
told me ahead of time that the portion of the salmon was small but
very good, I had it anyway and it was great. They make margarita's
that leave you wanting more. We took a picture with the staff because
we loved the service so much and the food was definitely great.
You cannot go here and not be pleased with the food or the service.
I hope to go back sometime soon.

| Crockett's Smokehouse-Lawton | Lawton, OK | |
|
This stand in line to order place is a good place to go. The food
is good and the service is great. I like the ribs they fall off the
bone. My favorite is still the Branding Iron but for sit down relax
environment Crockett's is the place to go. There is ample seating
for meetings or for big families. The prices are right for the
amount of food you get with your meal.
|
||
| Woody's BBQ | Lawton, OK | |
|
Woody's is a neat little place, but if you are looking for very
good BBQ then try Branding Iron. I like Woody's for the atmosphere
and for the service. I don't eat the BBQ I stay with their American
food like a club sandwich or cheeseburger instead.

| Weber's Root Beer Stand | Tulsa, OK | |
|
You have got to try their Root Beer! They are made famous for their
root beer. The good old fashioned hamburgers are a pleaser too.
My kids love this place. They love to get the old fashioned root
beer floats and a cheeseburger. It is right on 71st headed for
the shopping mall. Weber's has an old fashioned sit at the counter
stools too. I was certainly glad we tried this little hole in the
wall restaurant which used to be a Braum's many years ago. Weber's
has been around for years and will be around for years to come with
that root beer. They have 2 liters to sell on site for under $2.
If you go through Tulsa try Weber's. I will definitely go back.

||
| Joe's Crab Shack | Oklahoma City, OK | |
|
Wonderful place. Full of fun. The food is great and the atmosphere
is neat. Old fishing nets don the ceiling of this old barn. You
get your food in tin plates and the condiments are in old fashioned
bottles. The music is definitely a lifter upper. The shrimp etioufette
is great. The gumbo is really good too. This is a great party spot
and it is fun for the whole family. The service is superb. Galveston
has 3 Joe's shacks and they are great too.
|
||
| Papa's Lil Italy | Oklahoma City, OK | |
|
This is the best Italian restaurant in OKC. I have watched this
little restaurant grow from a small clientele to a professional
restaurant with customers always coming back for more. I highly
recommend Papa's Lil Italy for anyone. The ambience is great!
The sampler platter is wonderful with some Merlot wine at a candlelight
table. Try it some time. I hope that you will be as pleased as I was.
|
||
| Fire Mountain | Lawton, OK | |
|
I liked the potato bar but I do agree that the food is left of the
steam tables too long. The steaks are made to order thick and juicy.
The atmosphere is good. Lots of room for meetings and conferences
or for big families. The tea is great. The place is packed at rush
hour.
