| Canton Village Restaurant | Livermore, CA | |

this is in the K-mart parking lot.
Very nice. Service is fast and efficient for lunch
I like the shrimp with vegtables over rice.
Owners are always there, helpful and friendly.
Dinner selections are standard american style chinese food,
large portions, hot and nicely served.

| Railroad Cafe | Livermore, CA | |

Excellent for Breakfast. Selection of standard and
special things for breakfast.
Quick, efficient service. I usually eat standard stuff
(eggs, bacon, french toast, etc.) Always nicely prepared,
never greasy or under cooked.
Often a wait, but coffee is served outside while you
are waiting. Sometims it seems like half of Livermore
eats here. Good place to run into old friends.
Looks line an interesting lunch menu, but I've
never eaten lunch here.
Second branch is Sassy's at the
Rose Previlion in Pleasenton

| Outpost San Ramon | San Ramon, CA | |

Good sandwiches and daily specials. Poker Pi-Gow and
Low ball played nightly and food is served at the table
while you're playing cards. Lots of action at the bar.

| Outback Steakhouse | Pleasant Hill, CA | |

Excellent. Try the Rib eye. Generally on the rare side
of what you would expect, so be careful. nice touch is
that food is delivered when it is ready by the first
available server while it is hot.
This is a chain, but is among the best.

| Benihana | Tracy, CA | |

Not the best of the chain by far. The Benihana in
Concord has better food and show. Seems better at lunch.
