| Armando's Mexican Cuisine | Detroit, MI | |
Good MExican food, maybe the best in Detroit.

| Rattlesnake Club | Detroit, MI | |
I dunno. It was good, but I wasn't wowed by the reputation
nor the food. The riverside location is nice, but I expected more.
| Laikon Cafe | Detroit, MI | |
I'd rather eat at New Hella's or many of the other slightly
higher calss Greek places on the street. Prices were low, but
the quality wasn't there.

| Streetside Seafood | Birmingham, MI | |
The food's not bad in this small seafoood place in Birmingham.
Unfortunately, it has been crowded making it difficult to get
seated. It' a local favorite and there really aren't very good
restaurants in downtown Birmingham, strangely enough. So that
explains it.

| Moose Preserve Bar & Grill | Bloomfield Hills, MI | |
It's a bar that also serves food. So that gives you areference.
They do have some strange stuff on the menu. Nothing wonderful,
but a good place for a business lunch.

| Sultan's Place | East Lansing, MI | |
Before the other places opened, this was the only choice for middle
eastern food in town. And the food isn't bad at all. It is a small
place and they treat you well. Nothing fancy.

| Anita's Kitchen | Farmington, MI | |
This is the second Anita's, I think. The first one is near or in
Troy. I like what they offer, but for some reason, I haven't been
back many times. You know that kind of experience? Sort of Middle
Eastern food. Maybe I should try it again. It's been a while.

| L. George's | Farmington, MI | |
I almost hate to recomend this place as I go there all the time and
the lines are out the door as it is! Does that tell you anything?
This is sort of like a Coney Isalnd, but they have much much more.
The service is efficient and very freindly. I like the Chicken
Caesar slad, the ommellettes and the burgers. The ommellettes
are huge and good. The soups are always good, and the salads large.
Oh yeah, they have coneys too. This place is right near Carvers
off Sincola Ct. It is not so easy to turn into the street that feeds
the parking lot, but it is manageable and there are lot's of parking
spaces, even with the huge crowds. Good food. Good prices. Nice
portions. Friendly people.

| Bates Hamburgers | Livonia, MI | |
This is a typical '40s style hamburger joint. You know the kind.
They take a small meatball sized peice of beef and squash it down
on the hot grill and serve it with lots of grilled onions. I like
this kind of place every once in a while. Sit at the counter, have
a burger fries and a coke and make believe you are in Hight School
in the '60s.
| Buca Di Beppo | Livonia, MI | |
They serve huge portions which are best shared around the family
table at this freindly Italian style place. Just average food,
but a lot of fun. You go here for the entier experience. Check out
the tacky (on purpose) decor.

| P B Putter's | New Hudson, MI | |
It's the only place in town. Golf theme. Sandwiches to main dishes
served. I have had mixed experiences here. If there were other
places to go, I would probably not have been there more than twice.
| Genitti's Hole-In-The-Wall | Northville, MI | |
This place does entertainment with dinner (sort of). It is a decent
place to take a large group for fun, but not if you want to eat something
good. We took the office there a few years ago and we had a good time,
but nobody liked the "food."
| Kyoto By Benihana | Northville, MI | |
Ever been to Japan? Neither have these people. This is Teppan
Yaki (iron slab cooking) at its worst and they also have bad sushi.
Overpriced. Poorly prepared. Not authentic. By the way, in the
US, this chain calls itself or used to call itself Benihana of
Tokyo. In Tokyo, they have them for the tourists. Know what they
call it there? Benihana of New York...
| Little Italy | Northville, MI | |
Nice authentic Italian. They try really hard to please and do
a good job. Enjoy.
| Library Sports Pub & Grill | Novi, MI | |
It's a beery bar. The food is just average. The service, below
average. I have no idea why they call it the Library.
| Peking House | Royal Oak, MI | |
Ho-hum Chinese at its average. You won't fee like you just got
off the plane in Hong Kong, Beijing or Taipei, that's for sure.
Typical Americanized approximation of Chinese food.

| Star Delicatessen | Southfield, MI | |
I have taken stuff out from this location, but didn't even know
that you can sit down here. Can you? The deli counter was good and
this is close to the New York style experience. The corned beef
and rye bread were good, as was the sliced lox. Nice people too.
| Fishbone's Rhythm Kitchen Cafe | Southfield, MI | |
I returned to this place to experience the Sunday buffet. While
the menu meals here weren't so hot, the buffet was awesome. You
can try just about everything and the beadth of selection is staggering.
Worth trying.

| Tom's Oyster Bar | Southfield, MI | |
Went once. Never went back. I love seafood, but there are so many
good ones, that this experience did not bear repeating.
| Musashi Japanese Cuisine | Southfield, MI | |
Expensive and not spectacular food in a setting where business
expense account dinners probably keeps this place going. They
did have soem tatami rooms, but I wish the food were better or more
affordable.
