Sub Sations Independence, OH
Good sandwiches, decent specials, crosscut fries (were a little over cooked on one visit) but overall very good experience
Max & Erma's Berea, OH
We go here quite often as it is close, convenient, and never has a long wait. I love their Grilled Chicken Salad and my friend always gets their Spicy Chicken Quesadilla. Fajitas aren't bad either. Don't forget the Sundae bar or their excellent Apple Pie!
Nuevo Acapulco North Olmsted, OH
The decor was nice - colorful & happy. Service was good, but the food just wasn't quite what I expected. Salsa was a little mild and the chicken in my entree just didn't seem to have any seasoning.
Stancato's Italian Restaurant Cleveland, OH
Excellent buffet - lots of choices - many different types of breads, sauces, pastas, a nice salad bar. Went here with a group from work during a mini-training at a local college. It was wonderful!
Lockkeepers Inn Cleveland, OH
Went to the "new" Lockkeepers for a company dinner the night they were opening. It's much larger than the old place. Very fancy. Our meals were excellent! Very California-style salad (small, weird greens) but the filet I had for an entree was mouth-watering, cooked perfectly and dessert - well, my husband is very upset he missed it...
Bucci's Brick Oven Cleveland, OH
Wonderful atmosphere. Had their lunch special of Alfredo Noodles with grilled chicken. It was wonderful! Service was friendly.
Dianna's Deli & Restaurant Lakewood, OH
Nice that they serve breakfast all day and were open late. I had chicken tenders, they were ok, but the honey mustard sauce was little different than I'm used to. Service was excellent!
Buca Di Beppo Wheeling, IL
Since we liked the ones in Westlake and Minneapolis so much, we talked my parents into going with us to this one on a trip to visit them. Definitely make reservations. With reservations we had about an hour wait, those without were waiting closer to 4 hours for a table. They also do complimentary valet parking (which is good because their lot is very small).
This time the food was pretty bland (not as spicy) compared to the other Buca's we have been to. Decent servings. The salad was a little too oily but the chicken marsala was as wonderful as always. Each of the meatballs on the spagghetti is like it's own meatloaf - very large (Mom couldn't even pick up the plate to pass it). Dessert was also very tasty as always, though not as much rum in the tiramisu as we've had in the past. And of course the photos on the wall always start great conversation.
Weber Grill Restaurant Wheeling, IL
Grilled is nice but don't remember exactly what we had (must have been the bar afterwards). Would go back.
The Country Squire Grayslake, IL
The Country Squire always has wonderful service, fantastic food, and an inviting atmosphere (especially the gorgeous gardens out back, not to mention the gazebo I was married in). They have a banquet facility that is the perfect modern setting for that special occasion.
Fantastic duck and lobster!!!!!!!!!! Mouth-watering desserts like tiramisu.
Say hi to Bill and Gus when you go!
FLUKY'S Chesterton, IL
Good char-broiled burgers. Only place I know of in Illinois to get Green River!!!! Great polish. I like the little red hot bubble gum they give out too!
Instant Replay Cleveland, OH
Good appetizers! Very busy when there are sporting events (don't plan on playing NTN then). Excellent pizza delivered on pedestal trays.
Buca Di Beppo Westlake, OH
The restaurant is family-style. We love their Chicken Marsala and their tiramasu is out of this world (very heavily rum-soaked). My husband also enjoys their garlic mashed potatos. I like the fact that they also offer take-out. Since it's family-style, we often make it last for at least 2 meals.
Encore Bar and Grille Berea, OH
Excellent value for the money. Servings are quite generous and the food is wonderful. Their house dressing is very tasty as are the homemade potato chips. The decor on the restaurant side is very modern - gray tones and photos of ballroom dancers. The wait staff is friendly and shows genuine concern for its diners.
Engine House Restaurant Salem, MA
Stopped by the Engine House while visiting the area with my husband and brother-in-law. Excellent pizza. They offer an array of pizza condiments (parmesan, oregano, crushed red peppers)in little cups along with the pizza. They also have subs (or grinders as they're called in MA). Decor is very cool - old fire engine house signs, hose ends, hats, etc. Even one sign from a firehouse in Chicago.
Gino's Pizza & Spaghetti House Ripley, WV
My husband and I stopped here on our drive home over Thanksgiving. The pizza was great and the service was wonderful. The facilties were also very quaint and quite clean.
Tony K's Bar & Grille Berea, OH
Prices are reasonable. The food is good. The also have a nice outdoor patio. I'm not sure how busy it gets as I've only been there a little later on the lunch hour, but the atmosphere is quite and the wait staff is very courteous.
The Pufferbelly Resturant Berea, OH
Wonderful place for lunch. They have multiple rooms, some quiter than others...
Zoar Tavern & Inn Zoar, OH
A friend and I stopped her on our way to Ohio Amish Country. The food was wonderful and the staff was very nice. There was a small party going on in the room as well and the staff were very attentive both to the party and to the other diners. I recommend it highly if you're in the area!
Swiss Hat Restaurant Sugarcreek, OH
The wait staff was very friendly. The decor of the restaurant is wonderful - especially all the small quilts hanging on the walls. Their burgers are very tasty. They also offer a buffet which my husband said wasn't nearly as good as my burger and was a bit on the pricy side, but it did include salad, the meal and dessert.
