| Ramsey's Diner | Lexington, KY | |
|
Delicious home-cooking. They have great chicken livers (if
you like them) and their fried green tomatoes are some of the best
I've ever had. Be sure to have the corn, it tastes so fresh you'll
think they just picked it and cut it off the cob.

| Coffee Shop | Marion, KY | |
|
The Coffee Shop is just good, old-fashioned blue plate special
type food. They have great steaks also. The blackened steak is
really good and is comparable to steakhouse quality food.

| Eighty-Eight Dip Drive In | Marion, KY | |
|
The Dip is a Crittenden County institution and has been around
since at least the 60's. They have those good, greasey cheeseburgers
and fries like you remember. A great thing that I have only seen
there are their cheese cubes. Small cubes of cheddar or american
cheese breaded and fried. A different take on mozarella sticks
that you see other places. The cheese cubes are definitely better.
Don't forget to order a cherry Coke!

| The Front Porch | Marion, KY | |
|
Pretty good catfish. The service that I have received there has
always been fair as well. I would recommend this place to any visitors
of Marion and Crittenden County.

| Lapotosina Restaurant | Princeton, KY | |
|
This place has absolutely great AUTHENTIC mexican food. I have
never been disappointed in a meal. Service is a bit tricky since
the wait staff are also authentic. The food is so delicious and
there is such a huge variety of combination platters, you will
not be disappointed!

| Majestic House Restaurant | Princeton, KY | |
|
True, Majestic is the only steakhouse in Princeton. But, I have
always found it to be quite adequate. Try the cabobs, the sirloin
they use on these is always very tender and juicy. Their salad
bar has fresh ingredients too.

||
| Pagliai's Pizza | Princeton, KY | |
|
The food here is good, but no more than average for a pizzeria.
The pizza itself is decent but the pasta dishes could definitely
use some work.

||
| Max's Brick Oven Cafe | Paducah, KY | |
|
Food was good but not for the price. The service that we received
was absolutely terrible. I agree that you don't want to rush through
a good meal, but you don't want to wait forever until the food comes,
then go without drink refills while finally eating either.

| Chong's Szeto Restaurant | Paducah, KY | |
|
By far the best Chinese food in Paducah. Of all the Chong's, this
one has the best food. I now live in Lexington a town with a hundred
Chinese restaurants and have yet found one here to match the quality
of food you recieve at Chong's.

||
| C C Cohen Restaurant & Bar | Paducah, KY | |
|
Cohen's is another Paducah tradition. Their prime rib is really
good. However, their seafood dishes are not that great. The atmosphere
is nice, especially for a Friday/Saturday night crowd. A little
pricey for what you get though.

| Joe Bologna's | Lexington, KY | |
|
Joe B's pizza is pretty good, but not excellent. I have been there
SEVERAL times and have yet to be very impressed. The best thing
that I have found is their breadstick (yes, stick, not sticks).
It is HUGE and comes with melted hot garlic butter. It is for the
breadstick that I continue to go there.

| Portofino | Lexington, KY | |
|
I have heard lots of people praise this place but I can't say that
I was that impressed. The food was good but no better than average
chain restaurant Italian. The waitress that we had was rather
snotty and chose not to tell us all of the specials as we heard her
tell other tables around us. I live within walking distance here
downtown, but will drive across town to go to Olive Garden instead.

||
| De Sha's Grille & Bar | Lexington, KY | |
|
I have been to this restaurant 4 times now and have yet to be very
impressed. The cornbread loaves they serve with honey butter
are the only saving grace. I have had steaks, sandwiches, and
the hot brown but none have been very remarkable. The prices are
way too high for what you get and as another reviewer remarked,
the servers are a bit snotty.

| Winchell's Restaurant & Sports | Lexington, KY | |
|
Really good food! They have home cooking plates and burgers,
buffalo wings, etc as well. One of the longest lists of appetizers
that I have seen in all of Lexington. Watch out though if you are
a non-smoker, even the non-smoking section is kind of smoky.

||
| Billy's Hickory-Pit Bar-B-Q | Lexington, KY | |
|
Generally good barbeque. I have had the pulled pork and the beef.
Both were good. Their mexican cornbread is good too. We got food
to go one time and they fix it up really nice so that you can take
it on a picnic if you want.

||
| Tumbleweed Mexican Cafe | Lexington, KY | |
|
Not really impressive Mexican food. Everything had too much
red sauce on it and it all tasted alike. I would not recommend it.
|
||
| Cheapside Bar & Grill | Lexington, KY | |
|
Cheapside is a legend and a tradition in Lexington. They have
great food, but the menu is somewhat limited. Their burgers and
their hot brown are both delicious. The outside garden and balcony
area are wonderful in the summer. If you haven't been, you should
try it on a hot summer night, but come early it is always extremely
full!
|
||
| Kirchhoff's Bakery | Paducah, KY | |
|
Kirchoff's is really cool to visit. It had originally been a bakery
in historic Paducah. It closed down many years ago and was recently
re-opened by the family. They have really excellent cookies
and cakes. Also, their selection of coffee and tea is excellent!
|
||
| Kountry Kastle Barbecue | Paducah, KY | |
|
Wonderful bar-b-que and the sides are great too. It is a smokey,
loud, and fun place for dinner. Not really a good idea for the kids,
though. A legend in Paducah, it is a visit that you must make!
|
||
| Jeremiah's | Paducah, KY | |
|
A Paducah tradition! Really good steaks, surf n turf, fish, etc.
Small place, really doesn't seat that many. Service is always
excellent and so is the food. Priced pretty high though. Try the
frog legs, they're really good!
