| Porters Truck Stop Restaurant | Jemison, AL | |
|
An excellent place to stop when traveling I-65. We had a VERY good
breakfast there, prepared to perfection and served by friendly
people. They have everything from oatmeal for the calorie conscous
to a steak and egg breakfast of champions. Good coffee, too.

| Der Dutchman | Sarasota, FL | |
|
This is a Menonite restaurant where you could get a taste of Menomite
(German/American) home cooking. Der Dutchman was a top notch
restaurant. That time is passed. The service is still excellent,
the decor is good, the prices are OK. The quality of the food, however,
has gone downhill. The selection is limited, and most of the dishes
are just plain - - plain.
There are too many GREAT places to eat in Sarasota to spend time or money at this one. |

| Butlers Restaurant and Lounge | Port Saint Joe, FL | |
|
The prices are not the lowest in the area, but the food is absolutely
the best available! The decor is wonderful, the service is superb,
and the oceanside setting is beautiful. If you want to know what
seafood SHOULD taste like, visit here!

| Circus Circus Buffet | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
This is far from the best buffet in town. HUGE crowds, average
to poor food, non-existant service.
Pass this one up. If it were located in an area where there is a shortage of restaurants, it would be OK; for Las Vegas, it is poor. |

| Ruby Tuesday | Dickson, TN | |
|
Food is OK, but it is overpriced, and the service leaves a lot to
be desired. I went with a small group, and even though we had separate
checks, the 15% tip was added to our checks. I dislike this VERY
much; a tip is something that is EARNED by superior service, not
something that is DUE just by allowing you to sit in their facility!
I will not be back. |

| Freddies | Erin, TN | |
|
A nice clean place for a quick bite to eat. Folks are friendly,
food is good, prices are right. Decor is great if you like Motorcycles;
lots of harley models, pictures & emblems.

| Ruby Tuesday | Clarksville, TN | |
|
This is just a bit dark for my taste, but would be a decent place
for a romantic meal. Food was good, prices were OK - but not the
best value in town. Service was very good.

| Orchard Cafe and Buffet | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
We got to this one on Cajun night, and it was really good! There
was a very nice selection, everything was well prepared, and
the service was excellent. It was laid out in such a way that you
could be a bit isolated from all the other diners as well, so there
could be an air of privacy in spite of the number of people there.
Watch the horseradish - it is the pure ground thing, and can peel the top off your head! |
||
| Sahara Buffet | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
This is the biggest buffet I have ever seen. The food was OK, and
there were a lot of choices, but it was so institutional that it
was hard to enjoy it. It is cheap, however.

| Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino Cafe | Henderson, NV | |
|
This is a surprising little place we discovered one morning while
passing through. We both had a VERY good breakfast here for less
than $5.00 TOTAL!
If we are in the area again, we will come here.

||
| Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino Buffet | Henderson, NV | |
|
There is a pretty wide variety here, plus they have a cooking station
where they operate a grill, and will cook a burger or dog to order.
Weekday price is $3.99, and the food was good! This is a don't miss
for anyone on a budget!

||
| Terribles Hotel & Casino Bougainvillea Cafe | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
When the Buffet is not open, there is no better place around to
eat than at this Cafe right next door. The food is outstanding,
the service is superb, and the prices are right.

| Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant | Dickson, TN | |
|
This is absolutely the finest mexican fare I have tasted anywhere,
bar none! The restaurant is newly renovated, completely re-done
inside and out. The decor is very nice. The service is EXCELLENT.
The food is the best. The prices are slightly above the local competition
- but well worth it!

||
| Little Aleinn | Alamo, NV | |
|
This is a place where the food and service are good, and the prices
are good for the area - but the ATMOSPHERE is what makes this place
special! From the flying saucer parked in the lot, and the time
capsule placed there by the makers of the movie ID-4, to the UFO
photographs covering the walls - this is one restaurant that
you should NOT miss!!
The Alien burger is really good - - and the conversations concerning the secretive government base - area 51 - are outstanding! |
||
| Dennys | Las Vegas, NV | |
|
For a Denny's, this is very disappointing. There was no one to
seat us, and no signs saying wait to be seated, so we chose our own
table. After five minutes of waiting, the manager gruffly informed
us we were in a closed section (there were no signs!) and led us
to another table where our order was taken. After a LONG wait,
the food was served. No one ever checked back on us. I flagged down
the waitress and asked for another drink; after an additional
fifteen minute wait, we got up and left without it. When we described
what we had eaten to the person at the cash register (we never received
a check), he was not at all surprised, so apparently poor service
is commonplace here.

| Subway | Dickson, TN | |
|
Every town has a subway, but the one in Dickson is outstanding!
they are always fast, thorough, and never stingy with the ingredients.
Everything is fresh and excellent. One of these 12" beauties
is a REAL meal.
Be sure and ASK for your stamps, though! They do NOT offer them without being asked for them. |

| Ryan's Family Restaurant | Murfreesboro, TN | |
|
This one is a mistake - please remove it! I typed the name in wrong;
it should be Ryan's Family Steak house, which I have now added.
Why does this software add the "/" before the "'" in "Ryan's"?? Thank you! |
||
| Ryan's Family Steak House | Murfreesboro, TN | |
|
Ryans is one of those chains which you can trust to NEVER be a bad
placde to eat. This one in Murfreesboro, however, is above the
rest in quality. It is always neat, clean, with very good food.
Service is fast and friendly.
Do NOT pass up the hot dinner rolls they offer to bring you - they are outstanding! |
||
| Cracker Barrel | Murfreesboro, TN | |
|
This one surprised me very much. Usually, I leave a Cracker Barrel
wishing I had gone somewhere else, as I am still hungry. This particular
one not only knows how to prepare the dishes, but they know how
MUCH to prepare as well!
Good food - good quantities - reasonable prices - excellent service. |
||
| Eva's Family Restaurant | Smithville, TN | |
|
This is one to be avoided; the portions are small, the prices are
not, and the preparation is poor.
A tenderloin is supposed to be breaded, and served on a bun with all the trimmings; onion, pickle, mustard, catsup - it's a SANDWICH, not a piece of bare steamed meat on a plate to be eaten with a knife and fork! |
