The roast beef was also lean and flavorsome. The side dishes, however, weren't good, and spoiled the experience. The mixed veggies were bitter, and obviously from a bag. The mashed potato and gravy were also not home-made. The Strawberry Shortcake was a biscuit swimming in mushy thawed strawberries, topped with can cream. Beefeater's needs to improve these areas if it wants to be a top-notch steak house. less

Plus, I loved the curry soup the chef was offering as samples. Enough so, evidently, that I was brought my own personal bowl of it on the house. The bar area is a little small, but it's nice. I looked over the dinner and buffet menus, and I definitely want to go back. It's just such a neat, historical place, too. less
