Amazing home made sauce, hugeee portions, and attentive wait staff. The atmosphere is dark, the seats are stiff and uncomfortable, and the whole place has a bit of a mafia hangout feel...well it is located in Somerville after all...but the food is AMAZING so I will forget about all of that other stuff for now! Pastas, steak tips, pizza, and even the salads are delicious and made with TLC. Besides the dungy atmosphere, I have nothing else negative to say. Prices are reasonable. Ample parking (lot in back). This is definitely a must if you are looking for genuine, home made great Italian food. less

Pizza is always cooked just right (not too much sauce, perfect amount of cheese, crispy thin crust), and always arrives hot. The guys who work there are very hard workers and seem very passionate about their pizza pies! MY only complaint is the grease factor. Depending on your choice of toppings, the grease can sometimes be a bit excessive. The subs are also tasty, and seem to be made with fresh cold cuts. I can appreciate the fact that no matter how busy this place gets, and no matter how much noise you can hear in the background on the phone, they ALWAYS get my order right. I have been ordering from them for about 4 years now. They could also extend and put a little more effort in their salad selection for those looking for a more healthy alternative. less

The memorable sandwiches go along perfectly with the amazing smoothies! Their lattes are on point (SO much better than starbucks) and the espresso is to die for! The ambient is so perfect because their music system comes from an old school record player and its awesome. I'm such a fan! less

They have just opened and we have the pleasure of watching their restaurant grow. Their service is a little slow as staff are working out systems, but literally the day-to-day improvement is noticeable, the service is already excellent and very attentive! The food is the best and most authentic indian food I've had in this country. Their swordfish masala is unexplainably juicy and tender, and the palak paneer is like nothing I've ever had. I seek out palak dishes, they're my favorite. This is the best in the boston area, hands down. Layers of flavor I didn't know could be are bold and in front. The bar is excellent too. Their drinks are lovely. The food is so good we told the owner she needs to raise her prices, this is haute-cuisine food for the price of mall food-court indian. less

The waitress arrived, never stating her name, took our drink order and returned after about 5 minutes. I had a certificate for a free entree w/the purchase of another which I gave to her when our order was placed. At 9:15 we finally received our soups and although good, my husband's chowder was barely warm but he was too hungry to send it back. Ten minutes later she returned, took our bowls and it was 9:35 before we received our meal at which time I asked for a glass of water. My salad and my husband's seafood platter were average. By this time there was only one other table in our area with patrons. She came back 10 minutes later, apologized for the delay with the water stating she was distracted. Her distraction was a lengthy conversation with the diners at the other table. When I received the bill I noticed I had been overcharged on my soup, not by much but still over the price in the menu. I went to the hostess about this, since the waitress was nowhere to be found, and her response was "There must have been a price increase because the amount in the computer is correct." I pointed out the menu price and she hurried off to find a manager. He arrived, thanked me for pointing the error out to him and refunded my money; pretty much the only positive aspect to the entire evening. I debated about the tip, knowing that to leave nothing would only give her the impression I was cheap. I left $2.30 which was less than 10% and I usually tip at least 20%. She still probably thought I was cheap and perhaps it should only have been 30 cents to make my point. I have a feeling that because I was not paying for one entree and ordered no alcohol, she decided she wouldn't be getting much of a tip anyway and we weren't worth her time. Too bad there are not negative stars to attach to this review less
