To my surprise, this Bennigan\\\\\\\'s does not serve black people. They allowed me to sit there over 30 minutes and never took my order. I complained to the manager and he gave me a ridiculus excuse. I was devastated. In 2013 this still happens. This is my home state and I can\\\\\\\'t believe this happened here. I would never go to another Bennigan\\\\\\\'s or Peoria Illinois again. They are all SCUM. less

Destihl is a trendy microbrew pub with about 7 microbrews on tap, but what really makes this is the food menu. The chef has taken dishes from around the world and encorporated it into the menu. The best thing is the deep fried bacon. It is a thick cut bacon coated in beer batter with a hint of jalepeno and accented with a maple syrup glaze. It is succulent and crunchy and not the least bit greasy. The various stone oven pizzas are also great. I have not found one item on the menu that is not well thought out and prepared perfectly. less

When I called to place my order the guy on the phone was very rude with me. He thought I was trying to get the food cheaper... when I was not because I looked online at their menu and to have 3 sides it was only 10.00 but he said that it was 12.00 and immediately had an attitude with me. When my husband went to pick-up the food. He stood there waiting for several minutes while the waitresses kept looking at him and never once tried to see why he was standing there. My husband had to get their attention again by asking about our food. The food was disgusting. The portions were barely anything. On top of the worst dinner possible... we got food poisoning. PLEASE do not waist your time and money at the Burger Barge. less

On my latest visit I tried the 'mexican gumbo'. It is a flavorful soup with cilantro-lime rice, your choice of pinto beans or black beans, your choice of chicken, pork, beef or no meat at all, your choice of salsa ranging from mild to fiery hot habanero, tortilla strips and mild cheese. Since there are many choices for this dish, it can be different eveytime you dine there. The soup tasted almost exactly like the soup I paid an arm and a leg for at Rick Bayless's Frontera Grill in Chicago, and only cost me $6 at Qdoba. Best of all, there is a customer loyality program that pays off in free food. less

It has been in business for many years and has the reputation of being at the pinicale of fine dining in Peoria. Unfortunately, as everyone well knows the midwest is basically flat and one doesn't have to climb very high to be at the top. Such is the case for Carnegie's. On a recent visit it seemed like everyone from the hostess to the wait captain down to the busboy was extremely frazzled. Our table and several around did not even have complete place settings. It took 3 seperate requests to get napkins, silverware, pepper, and water. The food was of poor quality, I would've been ashamed to have served it. The crab cake appetizer was undercooked and mushy. Our salads were swimming in water. When we finally received our entrees, the shrimp scampi'c pasta was entirely missing its alfredo sauce. Overall, it was a great dissappointment. less
