Mandi W.   -   It wasn't that bad initially... the salad and soup were good. but, 1/3 of the way into the chicken and ham dinner that my husband ordered we saw a black course hair sticking out of the hollandaise sauce. we pointed it out to the waitress who took his plate and said she wouldn't charge for his dinner. then she asked if i was done (i was because of the hair, not because i had eaten even 1/2 of it) and took my plate. i told her that i thought i should get 1/2 off my dinner since i didn't feel like eating it after the "pube incident". she replied in a bitchy tone, "we can't do that". we drove 2 1/2 hours to spend the day in mccall and were so disgusted after our first stop at Lardos that we turned around and drove home. less

Bob And Robin Y.   -   Very much of an Italian/Western style restaurant. Ample seating on main floor. However, Lardos is a very popular eating place in McCall, and the wait can be 25 minutes or more. Food presentation is OK, but not much more. Serving sizes are ample and you should not go away hungry. Food quality is extremely good and a wide variety is available. The hamburgers and steaks are actually cooked on a grill outside. Lasagna is excellant and so are the other Italian dishes. One exception, the Alfredo is missing the nutmeg and is therefore, bland. Service is poor. We had to wait almost 45 minutes for our entrees to be delivered. In the meantime, three other tables were seated, served (2 by our waitress and 1 by another waitress) and their meals completed. When we questioned our waitress about the delay, her reply was that ours "... was coming". The "Bar Maid" licked her fingers before getting a napkin for you. Not good. The cost is in line with the food quality. Five of us ate there for around $70.00. The tip reflected the service. Servings are large and the food is tasty. But the wait staff needs a lot of practice and the kitchen staff needs correction. Find another resturant in McCall, there are plenty. It will be difficult to return to Lardos. less
