But this time seemed to be better - the food was good - just their regular Breeze salad with vinegar dressing was very good - and we had the grilled talapia with shrimp and cream sauce added and it was pretty flavorful. I might not gumble and groan the next time friends request we meet there. less

Sonny's is a good BBQ place. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it is good if you are in the mood for BBQ.

The atmosphere is very lively and entertaining, and the hibachi chefs really know how to entertain a crowd. My husband and I both got the Steak and Shrimp combo, and it was simply delicious! I really must learn how to make their fried rice and their "seafood sauce"- I could eat those for days. We also got some sushi from the sushi bar, and my favorite was the Crunch roll; I loved it so much, my husband got some more for takeout. Overall, I enjoyed my entire experience there, and can't wait to go back again. The price is a tiny bit high, but that's as expected from those Japanese hibachi restaurants. It definitely makes up for the price with a wonderful atmosphere, a great time, and delectable food. Just a note, they can get quite busy on the weekends sometimes, so it doesn't hurt to call in and get a reservation. It saves lots of time waiting. less

The waitress took our ... more Marilyn G. - I went with my family for dinner tonight at the Golden Palace II. It was empty except for us, which should have been a red flag. The waitress took our order and my daughter, who is a vegetarian, ordered a tofu dish and specifically asked if the tofu would be cooked crispy, as that is how she likes it. She asked about the spicy version and the waitress said that the tofu would be mushy for spicy (??) The rice came and the waitress removed the salt, pepper, soy sauce and duck sauce from the table, saying "no room". The food came...completely tasteless. The tofu was not cooked. It disintegrated upon spearing with a fork. It was revolting and the waitress was busy mopping the floor instead of coming over and asking how everything was. When she finally came over with the check, my husband said that the tofu dish was not acceptable. It was uncooked and certainly not even a little crispy. The waitress shrugged and said that nobody complained before. He said, we don't want it and don't want to pay for it. She came back to the table and said the boss said to pay $2.00 for the dish and we could take it home. We said we don't want to take it home. Didn't eat it there, won't eat it home. That's the last time they'll ever see us. Funny thing is that about ten years ago we tried Golden Palace I, and it was awful then. Not much has changed. Blechhhhh!! less

I went back here and found I didn't enjoy it half as much as I did before. Bugs were a problem.
